(54) Method and device for mounting a window, door or the like


(57) A device is used for installing a complete window, a complete door or hatch (1) in an opening (2), in a wall construction (3) or the like. The device comprises a pre-mounting element (4) which is configured to receive and support the case (5) of the window, the door or the hatch and which is arranged to be mounted in said opening (2) of the wall construction (3). The pre-mounting element (4) is adjustable in the opening (2), and it includes a frame (6) which is size adjusted for the outer dimensions of the frame (5), with a play between the frame (6) and case (5) arranged so that the frame (6) obtains a guiding function for the case (5). The case (5) is guided to an intended end position in the adjusted frame (6) during the installation of the window, door or hatch (1) in the frame (6).
