<abstract id="abst" lang="de">
<p id="pa01" num="0001">Eine Beschleunigungsvorrichtung (10) zum Beschleunigen eines Projektils (16) weist ein Beschleunigungsrohr (12) mit einer eine Beschleunigungsrichtung (14) definierenden Längsachse und einen Treibspiegel (18) mit einer Projektilaufnahme (32) an seinem in der Beschleunigungsrichtung (14) vorderen Ende zum Aufnehmen eines Projektils (16) auf. Das Beschleunigungsrohr (12) weist in seinem in der Beschleunigungsrichtung vorderen Endbereich einen Treibspiegelstopper (30) zum Aufhalten des Treibspiegels (18) auf und ist an seinem in der Beschleunigungsrichtung hinteren Ende mit einer Druckerzeugungsvorrichtung (34) gekoppelt. Zum Erzielen höherer und besser reproduzierbarer Projektilgeschwindigkeiten weist die Druckerzeugungsvorrichtung (34) wenigstens zwei Ventile (50) zum Einleiten eines Gases in eine Treibkammer (54), welche in dem Beschleunigungsrohr (12) in Beschleunigungsrichtung hinter dem Treibspiegel (18) gebildet ist, auf.
