OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a hanger for exhibition panel, which obvious purpose
is the constitution of hanging means for items or products exhibited to the public,
for the public to be able to grab them from the hanger itself.
[0002] The object of the invention is to obtain a hanger incorporating a front closing element
thereof to prevent the exhibited items from accidentally slipping out, and which closing
element in turns constitutes a price holder.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] It is known that certain items or products, such as the majority of hardware items
and others, are exhibited in vertical panels provided with multiple horizontal holes
or slots for elements such as hooks, nuts, etc. to be hanged in any position desired
on the panels in question with different configurations, the existence of at least
one horizontal rod projected forward being the common denominator, such that the objects
or items to be exhibited hang on said rod or rods, if there are more than one. Said
objects or items to be exhibited are generally individual blister-type packages having
a hole or slot to pass the rod or rods through and remain suspended from the same.
[0004] These hangers usually have a U-shaped configuration, that is to say, they are close
at their front end, or end in a "T", such that there is a kind of clamp or another
similar fastening element on said front end area to hold the identification label
of the corresponding item or product and the price thereof.
[0005] The problem is that the exhibition hanger comes on its own and the price holder and/or
the product identification label must be affixed to the same.
[0006] Another problem is that known hangers, even those constituted by two rods or by a
double bar, lack stopping means to avoid the frontal extraction of the products when
this is not desired, that is to say, to avoid the products from accidentally slipping
out through the front part, which usually occurs quite frequently.
[0007] Another problem is that when there are few items or products on the support, these
products or items occupy the rearmost or rear position, which means greater discomfort
during the extraction thereof.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The hanger for exhibition panel being described herein has been conceived to solve
the aforementioned problems, such that, based on an element or body having hooking
means to the corresponding panel and with a front rod or a double rod as hanging means
of the items or products to be exhibited, it presents the particularity that, in correspondence
to the rear part of the body from which the anchoring elements from which the hanger
is projected are projected, there is a vertical slot wherein a piece extending forward
forming an arm reaching the length of the hanger itself is introduced as a plug-in,
said arm ending in a cylindrical and transverse shaft at its front end according to
a horizontal arrangement, to which a piece serving two functions is articulated: one
as a closing element of the hanger itself, and the other as a price holder element,
given that said piece frontally presents a flat surface with an upper and lower groove
to locate the price tag or applicable product identification, while presenting clamps
or a narrowed opening on its rear part for the articulation on the horizontal and
cylindrical shaft arranged frontally on the arm connected to the rear part of the
hanger, specifically of the body of the hanger provided with anchoring means to the
exhibition panel, while at the bottom and also through the rear face, this piece having
price holding functions constitutes a type of fork coupleable to the front end of
the hanger, carrying out the closing thereof such that in order to open it, the price
holder piece or element must be tilted upwards because additional force must be exerted
given its narrowed opening, thereby preventing the products or items exhibited on
the hanger to slip out through the front end thereof since the price holder piece
must be intentionally tilted as provided above.
[0009] In addition, this articulated assembly of the piece tilting on the frontal cylindrical
shaft of the arm allows stabilizing said price holder piece or element in an opening
position for the same, given that exerting a slight pressure downwards on said piece
is necessary for it to recover the corresponding closing position.
[0010] Optionally, the device may incorporate a forward and backward sliding piece on the
rod of the hanger and the arm, which is driven by a spring that tends to move it constantly
forward, thereby pushing all of the items suspended from the rod of the hanger forward.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0011] In order to supplement the description to be made below and with the purpose of aiding
a better comprehension of the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings
representing the following in an illustrative rather than limitative manner is attached
as an integral part of said description according to a preferred example of a practical
embodiment thereof:
Figure 1.- Shows a perspective view of a hanger for exhibition panel made according
to the object of the present invention.
Figure 2.- Shows an exploded representation corresponding to a general perspective
of the hanger.
Figure 3.- Shows a lateral elevated view of the same hanger represented in the previous
figure, showing two objects or items hanging from the same.
Figure 4.- Shows, finally, a plant view of the set represented in figure 1.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0012] As shown in the aforementioned figures, the hanger for exhibition panel object of
the invention is normally constituted from a body (1), provided in its rear part with
anchoring means (2) to the corresponding exhibition panel, rack, or respective place,
with the special particularity that from said body (1), a rod (3) as the hanging or
suspending element of the items or products (4) to be exhibited, projects forward.
[0013] The rear body (1) of the hanger is provided with a vertical slot (5) wherein a wing
(6) belonging to an arm (7) projected horizontally forward is housed, reaching the
same length than the hanger (3) itself, with the special particularity that said arm
(7) incorporates a horiztonal and cylindrical shaft (8) frontally in a transverse
arrangement, on which a piece (9), preferably flat, is articulated, and which front
includes slots or steps (10) for the positioning and holding of a card (14) showing
the identification, price, or other references of the items or products (4) exhibited,
such that the articulation of said price holder piece (9) is carried out by means
of clamps or narrowed opening slots (11), while it makes up a kind of fork (12) at
the bottom where the front end of the hanger (3) to suspend the products or items
(4) to be exhibited is positioned, as clearly shown in figure 3.
[0014] In short, piece (9) not only holds the price or other identification features of
the products or items (4) to be exhibited, but it also constitutes closing means of
the front end of the hanger (3) from which these products or items (4) to be exhibited
are suspended, such that from the closing position shown in figure (2), that is to
say, the operative position of the piece (9), in order to extract any item or product
(4) from the hanger (3), the manual tilting of said piece (9) must be carried out,
exerting additional force according to the upwards direction indicated by the double
arrow (13) represented in said figure 3, such that, by virtue of the narrowing presented
by the engaging clamp or piece (11) of the shaft (8) of the arm (7), the piece (9)
can occupy or remain stable in any partial opening position, enabling, as provided
above, the extraction of items or products (4) with respect to the hanger (3). In
order to close it, the piece (9) must be tilted in the opposite direction, that is
to say, downwards according to the double arrow (13), engaging the front end of the
hanger (3) in the fork (12) of the piece (9), in order to close the hanger and thereby
prevent the items or products (4) suspended from that hanger (3) to accidentally slip
out and fall. This closing system also prevents the possibility of a quick extraction
in the case of a robbery.
