(57) A spinning machine (1) includes a draft device (6), a spinning device (7), a winding device (13), a splicer (26), a suction pipe (27), a suction mouth (28), and a unit controller. The unit controller is adapted to control a package (P) to be reversely rotated after a completion of a yearn guiding operation by the section pipe (27) and the suction mouth (28) and before a start of a yearn joining operation by the splicer (26).
