BOOKBINDING OF PRINTED MATTER (TEXT - BLOCKS ) BY GLUING THE SPINE (JOINT) WITH COLD GLUE AND INSULATING THE SPINE (JOINT) WITH TAPE AND SILICON GLUE

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a method for bookbinding printed matter (text-blocks) that has a paper case (8) internally and a zipper closure (9), which comprises application of a cold glue on the spine (joint) (5), the spine (joint) being reinforced by fabric and sewing (6), application of a silicone glue in the holes (3) of the thread seam, application of a special tape (4) in the interior of the spine (joint) for protection against the cold glue and an incorporated bookmark (7) with creasings.

[0002] The various available forms of printed matter (text-blocks) which are produced by applying cold glue on the spine (joint) frequently present the problem that the glue penetrates in the interior of the printed matter (text-blocks) through the holes (3) of the thread seam. This results to page tearing when opening and poor quality. Also, available forms of printed matter (text-blocks) which have internal cases in which pieces of paper (notes, cards, etc.) are inserted do not ensure that the pieces of paper will be retained when inverting the printed matter (text-blocks) upside-down.

[0003] US 2006/061083 A1 discloses a book binding method comprising the features of the preamble of claim 1.

[0004] By using a special tape (4) in the interior of the spine (joint), which has been glued with cold glue, the pages do not stick together, and the product may be folded due to the thread seam. Also, by applying silicone glue in the holes (3) of the thread seams, the glue is prevented from entering the interior of the printed matter (text-blocks). Finally, by using a zipper (9) on the outer edge of the covers, the items in the inner paper case (8) are retained. Firstly, the main body is folded. Then, the end papers are glued, the end papers being a four-page unit at the front side and a four-page unit at the back side and aiding in the better opening of the product. The covers are then cut (one at the front and one at the back). On the cover an incision (1) is made in order to position decorative material (2) (figure 1). Thereafter the covers are connected with the end papers. Then the assembling of the body follows. During this stage, perforation is effected and holes for dossiers are created. Then sewing is effected and silicone glue is applied in the holes (3) on the outside of the spine (joint) (5) (figure 2). Then, the spine(joint) (5) is internally lined with a special tape (4) (figure 3). Then cold glue (5) is applied on the spine (joint) (5) to reinforce the bookbinding, which provides flexibility and strength to the multiple folds of the product without damaging the interior. The spine (joint) (5) is lined with a further material (fabric), screen-printing on the spine (joint) is then performed and a seam (6) is made in order to increase the strength on the spine (joint) (5) during folding of the product and to provide a better appearance (figure 4). The final trimming on the printed matter (text-blocks) is effected and a bookmark (7) is glued, on which creasings have been previously made (figure 5a, 5b). Thereafter, a paper case (8) on the inner side of the back cover (figure 6) is placed. Finally, on the outer side of the front cover and the back cover, respective zippers (9) are sewn (figure 7).

[0005] The product may be a book, a notebook having a single section or multiple sections (2, 3 or four), as well as diaries, notebooks, phone indexes etc.

Claims

1. Bookbinding method, in which cold glue is used for gluing the spine/joint (5), the interior of the spine/joint of the printed matter/ text-blocks is insulated with a special tape to prevent leakage of the cold glue in the interior, silicon glue is applied in the holes of the thread seams to prevent inner staining of the printed matter, a paper case is provided and zippers are arranged at the edge of the printed matter/text-blocks, so as to form a printed matter/folder which is closed with a zipper (9), having a soft cover and a reinforced joint (5), the method comprising:

providing a main body by folding large paper sheets to printing sheets/signatures; arranging the outer cover;

gluing two 4-sheet end papers, one on the front and one on the back printing sheet;

cutting, meanwhile, the cover and making an incision (1) at the centre of the cover, where a decorative item (2) is positioned;

joining the covers to the two end papers;

performing laying out, by the procedure of assembling the printing pages, wherein, on the left side of the sheets, a perforation and holes are made for inserting the pages in a dossier;

effecting sewing with a thread and applying silicon glue into the holes (3) made by the thread seam on the outside of the spine joint, so that the strength of the threads is reinforced;

applying cold glue in order to reinforce the bookbinding;

lining the spine/joint with an additional material/fabric which covers the spine/joint and a part of the cover;

screen-printing the spine/joint and making a further seam (6) on the fabric for further reinforcement;

trimming the periphery of the printed matter;

gluing a bookmark (7) to the upper side of the back cover, which is subjected to creasing, i.e. grooves are made which fold easier than cardboard;

gluing a paper case (8) at various points and on the inside of the back cover; and arranging a zipper (9) on the outer side of the printed matter by sewing;

the method being characterised in that;

before the cold glue is applied, the spine/joint is lined with a special tape (4) which does not allow the cold glue to pass through the holes (3) of the thread seams in the book.

2. Use of the method of claim 1 in forming a book.

3. Use of the method of claim 1 in forming a notebook, wherein sections may be provided by positioning separating cardboards between the sheets.

4. Use of the method of claim 1 in forming a diary, characterised in that, on the cover, the individual year is printed by screen printing, or intaglio printing, or silver-printing and furthermore, month indexing may be provided on the right edge of the sheets.

5. Use of the method of claim 1 in forming a notebook.

6. Use of the method of claim 1 in forming a magazine.

7. Use of the method of claim 1 in forming an advertising leaflet/brochure.

Ansprüche

1. Buchbindungs-Methode, bei welcher kalter Klebstoff zum kleben des Rückens / Gelenks benutzt wird, das Innere des Rückens / Gelenks des bedruckten Stoffs / Textblocks wird mit Klebeband isoliert, zur Verhinderung des Auslaufs von kaltem Klebstoff ins Innere, der Gebrauch von Silikon-Kleber in den Loechern des Gewindes scheint Innenfärbung des bedruckten Stoffes zu verhindern, ein Papierfall wird bereitgestellt und Reisverschluesse werden am Rand des bedruckten Stoffes / Textblocks organisiert; Das Verfahren Umfasst:

einen Hauptkörper bereitstellen, durch Falten von grossen Papieren zur Druckung von Papieren / Unterschriften;

die Aussenbedeckuug arrangieren, zur hergebung von 4-seitigen Vorsatzblaettern, eins auf dem vorderen und eins auf dem hinteren Druckblatt; den Einband des Buches anschneiden und einen Schnitt (1) in der Mitte des Einbandes machen, wo ein Ziergegenstand (2) positioniert wird:

die Einbaende mit den Enden der zwei Papiere zusammenbringen;

Auslegen, durch den Vorgang der Montage der Druckseiten, wo auf der linken Seite der Seiten, durchgestochen wird und Loecher zur Anordnung der Seiten in einem Dossier gestochen werde;

nachen mit Faden und Silikonkleber in die Loecher (3) fuegen, welche aus der Gewindenaht gernacht sind, um die Staerke des Fadens zu erhoehen

und dadurch kennzeichnen, dass befor der kalte Klebstoff eingefuegt wird, der/das Rücken / Gelenk mit einem Band (4) ausgekleidet wird, welches den Durchlauf des kalten Klebstoffes durch die Loecher in dass Innere des Buches verhindert;

anwendung von kaltem Klebstoff zur Staerkung der Buchbindung;

Auskleidung des Rückens / Gelenks (5) mit einem zusaetzlichen Material / Stoff welcher den/das Rucken / Gelenk und einen Teil des Einbandes bedeck, danach wird der/das Ruecken / Gelenk gesiebdruckt, und eine weitere Naht wird auf dem Stoff, fuer weitere Staerkung gernacht.

nachdem der Trimmung des Randes des bedruckten Stoffes wird das Lesezeichen (7) an die obere Seite des hinteren Einbandes geklebt, welches dem Zerknittern ausgesetzt ist d.h. es werden Rillen gebildet, welche sich einfacher als Pappe falten lassen;

an verschiedenen Punkten und in der inneren Seite des hinteren Einbandes, wird eine Papier-Huelse (8) geklebt, und ein Reissverschluss (9) wird an die aeussere Seite des bedruckten Stoffes geklebt.

2. Benutzung der Methode aus Anspruch 1 zur Bildung eines Buches.

3. Benutzung der Methode aus Anspruch 1 zur Bildung eines Notizbuches, worin Abschnitte gegeben sein koennen, durch Positionierung von trennender Pappe zwischen den Seiten.

4. Benutzung der Methode aus Anspruch 1 zur Bildung eines Tagebuches, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das jeweilige Jahr auf dem Einband gedruckt ist, entweder durch Siebdruck, durch Intaglio-Druck, oder durch Silber-Druck. Außerdem kann eine Monats-Indizierung auf der rechten Ecke der Blaetter platziert werden.

5. Benutzung der Methode aus Anspruch 1 zur Bildung eines Notizbuches.

6. Benutzung der Methode aus Anspruch 1 zur Bildung eines Magazins.

7. Benutzung der Methode aus Anspruch 1 zur Bildung einer Werbe-Broschüre.

Revendications

1. Méthode de reliure, selon laquelle une colle à froid est utilisée pour l'encollage du dos /de l'articulation, l'intérieur du dos/de l'articulation des imprimés/blocs de texte est isolé avec un ruban pour éviter les fuites de la colle à froid à l'intérieur, de la colle silicone est appliquée aux trous du fil de couture afin d'éviter l'apparition des tâches des imprimés, un dossier papier est fourni et des fermetures à glissière sont fixées au bord des imprimés /blocs de texte ; la méthode comprend :

fourniture d'un corps principal en pliant des grandes feuilles de papier à des feuilles d'impression/signatures :

fixation d'un revêtement extérieur en donnant deux feuilles de garde à 4 feuilles, l'un au recto et l'autre au verso de la feuille d'impression ; coupage du revêtement et réalisation d'une incision (1) au milieu du revêtement où un objet décoratif (2) est placé ;

rejoindre les couvertures avec les feuilles de garde ;

Implantation par le procédé de l'assemblage des impressions papier, où au côté gauche des papiers, une perforation et des trous sont faits pour insérer les pages dans un dossier :

effectuer une couture avec un fil et appliquer de la colle silicone aux trous (3) faits par le fit de couture à l'extérieur du dos/de l'articulation de sorte que la force des fils soit renforcée

et en ce qui caractérise cela, avant l'application de la colle à froid, le dos/l'articulation est doublé avec un ruban (4) qui ne permet pas à la colle à froid de passer à travers les trous (3) de fils de couture dans le livre ;

appliquer de la colle à froid serve à renforcer la reliure ;

doubler le dos/l'articulation (5) avec un matériel/tissu supplémentaire qui couvre le dos (l'articulation) (5) et une partie de la couverture, après le dos/l'articulation (5) est imprimé en sérigraphie et une couture additionnelle est faite (6) sur le tissu pour un renforcement supplémentaire ;

après avoir ébarbé la périphérie des imprimés, ajoutez un signet (7) avec de la colle au côté supérieur au dos de la couverture, qui est soumis au plissage, c'est-à-dire des rainures sont faites qui plient plus facilement que le carton ;

Dans des points divers et au côté intérieur du dos de la couverture (8) un papier dossier est collé et une fermeture à glissière (9) est fixée au côté extérieur des imprimés par couture.

2. Utilisation du procédé de revendication 1 en fabriquant un livre.

3. Utilisation du procédé de revendication 1 en fabriquant un cahier, dans lequel des coupes peuvent être fournies en plaçant des cartons séparateurs entre les feuilles.

4. Utilisation du procédé de revendication 1 en fabriquant une agenda, la couverture l'année individuelle est imprimée par impression en sérigraphie ou impression en taille douce ou procédé argentique et de plus l'indexation des mois peut être fournie sur le bord droit des feuilles.

5. Utilisation du procédé de revendication 1 en fabriquant un carnet.

6. Utilisation du procédé de revendication 1 en fabriquant un journal.

7. Utilisation du procédé de revendication 1 en fabriquant un dépliant publicitaire (brochure).
