[0001] The present invention relates to a blister pack, which can be easily unsealed
[0002] A blister pack including a main body portion and a seal member has been widely used
in a package in a toiletry field, such as a toothbrush, etc., a stationery field,
such as a stapler, etc., a food filed, such as a ham and a sausage, etc., and a medical
device field, such as a syringe and a needle. The main body portion has a storage
recess portion made by thermoforming a plastic sheet utilizing vacuum or compressed
air. The seal member seals the storage recess portion of the main body portion.
[0003] In such a blister pack, there are advantages, for example, high sealing property
to a stored item can be easily ensured, and handling is very easy because taking out
the stored item is easy.
[0004] However, for ensuring the high sealing property, it is necessary to tightly adhere
the seal member to the main body portion storing the stored item, so that large force
may be necessary to unseal.
[0005] In a case that a blister pack is sealed tightly as such, generally, the blister pack
is unsealed along the longitudinal direction of the main body portion (storage recess
portion) thereof. As illustrated in Fig. 6(I), as the length of the adhesive portion,
in which the seal member is torn-off and peeled from the main body portion, is short
when unsealing, a user can easily unseal the seal member with small force. For example,
as illustrated in Fig. 6(II), when a user unseals the adhesive portion in the rectangular
direction to the longitudinal direction of the main body portion, the length of the
adhesive portion torn-off and peeled from the main body portion becomes very long,
so that greater force is necessary to unseal the seal member.
[0006] From such a point of view, generally, a blister pack is unsealed along the longitudinal
direction of the main body portion (storage recess portion). However, if an user does
not unseal carefully, the blister pack may be unsealed diagonaiiy, as illustrated
in Fig. 7(II). In such a case, the user needs greater force and often takes time to
unseal. In addition to this, there are many fears that the user drops the blister
pack or the stored item. Thus, it has become a big problem.
[0007] For solving the problem that greater force is necessary to unseal the blister pack,
for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No.
2011-148525 discloses a blister pack having the following configuration. That is, the blister
pack includes a blister sheet and an adhesive sheet. The blister sheet has a blister
case having a storage portion, which can store an item to be stored. The adhesive
sheet adheres to the blister sheet so as to cover an opening portion of the storage
portion of the blister case. In this configuration, on the surrounding of the blister
case, an annular seal portion for sealing the blister sheet and the adhesive sheet
is provided. On the outside of the annular seal portion, a seal area for sealing the
blister sheet and the adhesive sheet is provided sandwiching an easy peel area. The
easy peel area is composed of a weak seal area or a non-seal area. In the weak seal
area, the seal strength is weaker than the seal strength between the blister sheet
and the adhesive sheet in the annular seal portion and the seal area. In the non-seal
area, the blister sheet and the adhesive sheet are not sealed each other. In addition,
an unsealing start point portion is provided on the seal area. The unsealing start
point portion is a start point for unsealing the adhesive sheet from the blister sheet
toward the easy peel area side. The seal between the adhesive sheet and the blister
sheet in the annular seal portion can be peeled via the easy peel area by peel force
for peeling the adhesive sheet in the seal area from the unsealing start point portion.
[0008] This blister pack is characterized in that the easy peel area being an area with
weak seal strength or a non-seal area is provided, to thereby be easily unsealed.
However, it is difficult to secure high sealing property because of the easy peel
area. Further, the structure is complicated and forces an user to unseal the blister
pack from the unsealing start point portion formed in the blister pack toward the
easy peel area. Thus, there is a problem that it is very inconvenient.
[0009] In view of the above problem, the present invention is directed to provide a blister
pack, in which a seal member can be easily torn off and peeled. by automatically adjusting
the course of the position to be torn off and peeled, even when the seal member becomes
diagonal to the longitudinal direction of the main body portion of the blister pack
at a time of starting to unseal the blister pack.
[0010] The present inventors worked earnestly to solve the above problem and reached the
following conclusion. That is, the blister pack includes a main body portion and a
seal member. The main body portion includes a rectangular storage recess portion recessed
at a center thereof, and a seal member adhering plane portion provided around the
storage recess portion. The seal member adhering plane portion is formed in a direction
parallel with the longitudinal direction of the storage recess portion, and on the
right and left sides of the longitudinal direction. The seal member has a gripping
part extending beyond at least one end in the longitudinal direction of the main body
portion. And the seal member is to be adhered to the seal member adhering plane portion
to thereby seal a stored item in the storage recess portion, and is to be torn off
and peeled from the gripping part. Further, the one end of the main body portion is
protruded to be a convex shape having an apex toward the side opposite to the storage
recess portion, and is formed to be line symmetry with respect to a center line in
a direction parallel with the longitudinal direction of the storage recess portion.
Having such a structure, even if the seal member is diagonally torn off at a time
of starting to unseal the blister pack, the seal member rotates around the apex of
the one end of the main body portion, regardless of the presence or absence of consciousness
of the user. Then, the seal member is automatically adjusted so as to be torn off
along the longitudinal direction of the main body portion (storage recess portion).
Thus, large force is not necessary since the seal member will not be turn off diagonally.
Further, as going to peel off, the peeling line reaches the storage portion which
does not adhere to the seal member, so that the adhesive distance is shorten, and
thus the large force is not necessary to peel off. Thus, by only adjusting the direction
of peeling off at the one end of the main body portion at a starting time of peeling
off, the user can easily peel off the seal member.
[0011] That is, the present invention is a blister pack including a main body portion and
a seal member. The main body portion includes a storage recess portion recessed at
the center thereof and a seal member adhering plane portion provided around the storage
recess portion. In the main body portion, the seal member adhering plane portion is
formed in a direction parallel with the longitudinal direction of the storage recess
portion having a rectangular shape, and on the right and left sides of the longitudinal
direction. The seal member has a gripping part extending beyond at least one end in
the longitudinal direction of the main body portion. The seal member is to be adhered
to the seal member adhering plane portion to thereby seal a stored item in the storage
recess portion, and is to be torn off and peeled from the gripping part. Further,
the one end of the main body portion is protruded to be a convex shape, which has
an apex toward the side opposite to the storage recess portion, and is formed to be
line symmetry with respect to a center line in a direction parallel with the longitudinal
direction of the storage recess portion.
[0012] Further, if a flange portion is further formed around the seal member adhering plane
portion of the main body portion via a step portion, the flange portion can increase
strength and rigidity of the blister pack. Further, at the one end of the longitudinal
direction of the main body portion, the flange portion and a part of the gripping
part of the seal member are overlapped, and thus it can prevent that the seal member
from being torn off accidentally, so that it is preferable.
[0013] The blister pack according to the present invention includes the main body portion
and the seal member. The main body portion includes a rectangular storage recess portion
recessed at a center thereof and a seal member adhering plane portion provided around
the storage recess portion. The seal member adhering plane portion is formed in a
direction parallel with the longitudinal direction of the storage recess portion,
and on the right and left sides of the longitudinal direction. The seal member has
a gripping part extending beyond at least one end in the longitudinal direction of
the main body portion. The seal member is to be adhered to the seal member adhering
plane portion to thereby seal a stored item in the storage recess portion, and is
to be torn off and peeled from the gripping part. Further, the one end of the main
body portion is protruded to be a convex shape, which has an apex toward the side
opposite to the storage recess portion, and is formed to be line symmetry with respect
to a center line in a direction parallel with the longitudinal direction of the storage
recess portion. Having such a structure, even if the seal member is diagonally torn
off at a time of starting to unseal the blister pack, the seal member rotates around
the apex of the one end of the main body portion, regardless of the presence or absence
of consciousness of the user. Then, the seal member is automatically adjusted so as
to be torn off along the longitudinal direction of the main body portion (storage
recess portion). Thus, large force is not necessary since the seal member will not
torn off diagonally. Further, as going to peel off, the peeling line reaches the storage
portion which does not adhere to the seal member, so that the adhesive distance is
shorten, and thus the large force is not necessary to peel off. Thus, by only adjusting
the direction of peeling off at the one end of the main body portion at a starting
time of peeling off, the user can easily peel off the seal member. Furthermore, since
it is not necessary to change the adhesion force of the location, etc., the blister
pack can be easily produced.
[0014] Further, in an embodiment in which a flange portion is formed around the seal member
adhering plane portion of the main body portion via a step portion, the flange portion
can increase strength and rigidity of the blister pack. In addition, at the one end
of the longitudinal direction of the main body portion, the flange portion and a part
of the gripping part of the seal member are overlapped, and thus it can prevent the
seal member from being torn off accidentally, so that it is preferable.

[0015] The blister pack according to the present invention will be described, referring
to drawings as follows.
[0016] A main body portion 1 includes a storage recess portion 1 a, which has a rectangular
shape and is recessed at a center thereof, and a seal member adhering plane portion
1b. The seal member adhering plane portion 1b is formed in parallel to the longitudinal
direction of the storage recess portion 1 a at right and left sides. The rectangular
shape in the present invention widely means the shape having a longer vertical width
with respect to a horizontal width. As each exemplary embodiment illustrated in figures,
the rectangular shape includes a shape in which each corner thereof has an arc-shape,
and an elliptical shape.
[0017] In this blister pack, it is preferable that the seal member adhering plane portion
1b is formed to have a shape which is in a direction parallel with the longitudinal
direction of the storage recess portion 1a and formed symmetrically in left and right
sides. If the seal member adhering plane portion 1 b is formed to have such a shape,
which is in a parallel direction with the longitudinal direction of the storage recess
portion 1a and formed symmetrically in left and right sides, the following effect
is obtained. That is, when an adhered seal member 2, which is described later, is
torn off and peeled along the longitudinal direction of the main body portion (storage
recess portion 1a), an uniform force is applied to the left and right, so that it
is hard to be diagonally.
[0018] Further, one end of the longitudinal direction of the main body is protruded to be
a convex shape, which has an apex toward the side opposite to the storage recess portion,
and is formed to be line symmetry with respect to a center line parallel in the longitudinal
direction of the storage recess portion. Having such a structure, even if the seal
member 2 is diagonally torn off at a time of starting to unseal the blister pack (Fig.
2(I)), the seal member 2 rotates around the apex of the one end of the longitudinal
direction the main body portion (Fig. 2(II), (III), regardless of the presence or
absence of consciousness of the user. Then, the seal member 2 is automatically adjusted
so as to be torn off along the longitudinal direction of the main body portion 1 (storage
recess portion 1 a) (Fig. 2 (IV)).
[0019] The seal member 2 has a gripping part 2a which extends beyond at least one end of
the longitudinal direction of the main body portion 1. The seal member 2 is to be
adhered to the seal member adhering plane portion 1b to thereby seal a stored item
stored in the storage recess portion 1a, and is to be torn off and peeled from the
gripping part 2.
[0020] A flange portion 3 is formed around the seal member adhering plane portion 1 b via
a step portion 3a.
[0021] Then, the specific configuration of the blister pack according to the present invention
will be described in detail. The one end of the longitudinal direction of the main
body portion 1 is protruded to be a convex shape having an apex toward the side opposite
to the storage recess portion 1 a, as illustrated in Figs. 1, 3 and 5. Further, the
one end of the longitudinal direction of the main body portion 1 is formed so as to
be in line symmetry with respect to the center line in a direction parallel with the
longitudinal direction of the storage recess portion 1 a (main body portion 1).
[0022] By forming the one end of the longitudinal direction of the main body portion 1 to
be in line symmetry with respect to the center line, even when the seal member 2 is
almost diagonally torn off at a time of starting to unseal the blister pack, the seal
member 2 rotates around the apex of the one end of the longitudinal direction of the
main body portion 1, and is automatically adjusted so as to be torn off along the
longitudinal direction of the main body portion 1 (storage recess portion) 1a.
[0023] In other words, by contacting the seal member 2 to the rotatable apex, the direction
of peeling off the seal member 2 is naturally adjusted to the state in which the length
of adhesive part is shortest and the force for peeling off is least. That is, the
state is the direction along the longitudinal direction of the main body portion 1
(storage recess portion 1 a) of the blister pack. Taking this configuration, even
if a user does not strongly aware the direction of the seal member 2, the user can
very easily peel off the seal member 2 along the longitudinal direction of the main
body portion 1 (storage recess portion 1 a).
[0024] Further, since it is sufficient that the one end of the longitudinal direction of
the main body portion 1 of the blister pack is in line symmetry with respect to the
center line in parallel, it can have an exemplary embodiment that a plurality of apexes
is protruded as illustrated in Fig. 5.
[0025] Furthermore, as illustrated in Figs. 3 and 4, in the exemplary embodiment in which
a flange portion 3 is formed around the seal member adhering plane portion 1b via
a step portion 3a, the flange portion 3a can be integrally formed with the main body
portion 1, so that it is easy to produce. In addition, this configuration can increase
strength and rigidity of the blister pack. Further, as illustrated in Fig. 4, the
flange portion 3 and a part of the gripping part 2a of the seal member 2 are overlapped,
so that it can prevent the seal member 2 from being torn off accidentally. In addition,
a slight gap generates between the seal member 2 and the flange portion 3 by a step
portion 3a and they are not in close contact. Thus, the user can easily grip the gripping
part 2a of the seal member 2 and the usability is good.
