(57) A vehicle door latch, the door latch having: a claw pivotally mounted to the latch, the claw being capable of movement between an open position and a closed position; a pawl pivotally mounted to the latch for movement from an engaged position with the claw to a released position wherein the pawl does not engage the claw and the claw is free to move to the open position; and at least one dual function component.
