<heading id="h0001">FIELD OF THE INVENTION</heading>

The present invention relates to a lamp (AR111 for example), in particular, to a reflective cup-shaped lamp configuring to a high-power light-emitting diode to generate high luminous efficiency.

<heading id="h0002">BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION</heading>

Conventionally, a lamp (AR111 for example) has advantages such as, high brightness, great color-rendering, producing whiter and soft light, concentrating and projecting light and lower color temperature.

However, the lamp has serious drawback of high power consumption and producing considerable wasted heat. Light-emitting diode is then adopted as the light source in the art to resolve the issue of high power consumption. But, the problem of wasted heat still exists, resulting the luminous efficiency and the life time of the light-emitting diode are severally degraded and reduced.

Therefore, a reflective cup-shaped lamp is disclosed in this invention to resolve the drawbacks in the art.

<heading id="h0003">SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION</heading>

An objective of this invention is to reveal a new and improved reflective cup-shaped lamp, which comprises a lens unit, a fixing unit, a housing and an electrical-connection unit. Through the structure of the lens unit, the light from the light-emitting diode, which is similar to that from a point light source, is reflected to the interior surface of the housing, and is uniformly emitted from the interior surface as a planar light source.

Another objective of this invention is to provide a new and improved reflective cup-shaped lamp, wherein the housing of the lamp is coated by a layer of transparent radiative thermal-dissipated paint to rapidly dissipate the heat generated by the light-emitting diode.

Another objective of this invention is to provide a new and improved reflective cup-shaped lamp, wherein the light-emitting diode possesses high luminous efficiency by the abovementioned effect of great heat dissipation.

Another objective of this invention is to provide a new and improved reflective cup-shaped lamp, wherein the housing is configured into the specification of AR111 so that the light-emitting diode is utilized to replace the conventional halogen bulb to achieve low power consumption, long life time and high luminance.

Another objective of this invention is to provide a new and improved reflective cup-shaped lamp, wherein an insulating thermal-conductive gel is injected into the interstice between the bottom of the housing and the electrical-connection unit in order to rapidly dissipate the heat generated by the light-emitting diode.

Another objective of the invention is to provide a new and improved reflective cup-shaped lamp, wherein the snap-fits are utilized to integrate the lens unit, the fixing unit, the housing, and the electrical-connection unit so that fewer or none of screws may be used.

The foregoing and other objectives are achieved in accordance with the teachings and principles of the present invention through the provision of a new and improved reflective cup-shaped lamp connecting a light-emitting diode and a driving circuit. The reflective cup-shaped lamp of the present invention comprises a lens unit, a fixing unit, a housing and an electrical-connection unit. The lens unit has a first holding part and a reflection part, where there is an included angle between the first holding part and the reflection part. The fixing unit has a second holding part and a base, wherein the lens unit is stacked on the fixing unit, and the first holding part and the second holding part form a holding space to hold the light-emitting diode. The housing has a body, a third holding part, an emitting part and a bottom, wherein the emitting part is at one end of the body and the bottom is at other end of the body. The third holding part is configured in the housing. A reflective layer is coated on the interior surface of the body. The third holding part holds the fixing unit, wherein the fixing unit is fixed on the housing. The electrical-connection unit is attached to the bottom.

Compared to prior arts, the reflective cup-shaped lamp of this invention is uniformly emitted the light from the light-emitting diode as a planar light source. Further, the reflective cup-shaped lamp of the present invention is capable of rapidly dissipating the wasted heat generated by the light-emitting diode. A layer of transparent radiative thermal-dissipated paint is coated on the housing or/and a thermal-conductive gel is injected into the interstices between the bottom and the electrical-connection unit to dissipating the wasted heat. Therefore, the improved lamp of the present invention brings excellent luminance efficiency to the light-emitting diode.

<heading id="h0005">DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS</heading>

To fully understand the objectives, the features and the effects of the invention, several embodiments are disclosed hereinafter in conjunction with the accompanying drawings to interpret the invention in detail.

Refer to <figref idref="f0001">FIG. 1</figref>, the structure of an embodiment of the reflective cup-shaped lamp of the invention. In <figref idref="f0001">FIG. 1</figref>, the reflective cup-shaped lamp 10 combines a light-emitting diode 2 and a driving circuit 4. The driving circuit 4 generates a voltage V to drive the light-emitting diode 2 to produce a beam of light LB. In this embodiment, a high power COB (Chip on Board) light-emitting diode is applied as an example for the light-emitting diode 2. In this example, the so-called "high power" is supposed to range from 8 watts to 13 watts. However, it should be noted that, the numerical range of "high power" is only an example rather than a limitation to the light-emitting diode 2.

The reflective cup-shaped lamp 10 comprises a lens unit 12, a fixing unit 14, a housing 16, and an electrical-connection unit 18.

Together, refer to <figref idref="f0002">FIG. 2</figref>, which shows the lens unit 12 comprises a first holding part 122 and a reflection part 124. An included angle θ is formed between the edge of the reflection part 124 and the first holding part 122, wherein the beam of light LB from the light-emitting diode 2 is reflected to the interior surface 162 of the housing 16 according to the inclined plane of the reflection part 124, wherein the slope of the inclined plane is determined by the included angle θ. It should be noted that, the reflection part 124 is configured cyclically on the lens unit 12 in order to uniformly reflect the beam of light LB from the light-emitting diode 2 to the interior surface 162 of the housing 16. The material of the central portion of the reflection part 124 can consist of either high optical transmittance or low optical transmittance. In this embodiment, the material of the central portion of the reflection part 124 has low optical transmittance so that the beam of light LB from the light-emitting diode 2 does not emit from the central portion.

Together, refer to <figref idref="f0002">FIG. 3</figref>, wherein the fixing part 14 possesses a second holding part 142 and a base 144. The material of the fixing part 14 shall be composed by at least one of the following material: metal, non-metal and thermal-conductive plastic. In this embodiment, T-shape is applied as an example for the cross-section of the fixing unit 14. It should be noted that, the structure of the base 144 can be either solid or hollow. For example, while the structure of the base 144 is hollow, it provides a space for configuration of electrical-wire routing (not shown in the figure), wherein the electrical wire connects the light-emitting diode 2 and the driving circuit 4. The lens unit 12 is stacked on the fixing unit 14 so that the first holding part 122 and the second holding part 142 form a holding space to hold the light-emitting diode 2.

Together, refer to <figref idref="f0003">FIG. 4</figref>, which shows that the housing 16 comprises a body 164, a third holding part 166, an emitting part 168 and a bottom 1610. The material of the housing 16 is composed by at least one of the following material: metal, non-metal and thermal-conductive plastic. The emitting part 168 is at one end of the body 164, and the bottom 1610 is at the other end of the body 164. A reflective layer (not shown in the figure) is coated on the interior surface 162 of the body 164. The third holding part 166 can accommodate the fixing unit 14 and hold the fixing unit 14 onto the housing 16. Furthermore, the body 164 fulfils the specification requirements of AR111. The shape of the body 164 is cone-like shape, wherein the surface area of the emitting part 168 is larger than the base area of the bottom 1610.

Together, refer to <figref idref="f0003">FIG. 5</figref>, wherein the electrical-connection unit 18 is attached to the bottom 1610. The electrical-connection unit 18 may hold the driving circuit 4. The voltage V generated by the driving circuit 4 may be outputted to the fixing unit 14 from the bottom 1610 via, for example, an electrical wire. It should be noted that, besides of being held in the electrical-connection unit 18, the driving circuit 4 may be configured anywhere of the reflective cup-shaped lamp 10 as shown in <figref idref="f0004">FIG. 6</figref>.

In another embodiment, the reflective cup-shaped lamp 10 further comprises an isolating thermal-conductive gel (not shown in the figure). The isolating thermal-conductive gel is injected into the interstices between the bottom 1610 and the electrical-connection unit 18. The isolating thermal-conductive increases the dissipation of the heat which is generated by the light-emitting diode 2.

In another embodiment, the reflective cup-shaped lamp 10 further comprises a transparent radiative thermal-dissipated paint (not shown in the figure). The transparent radiative thermal-dissipated paint is coated on the partial or the whole surface of the housing 16. The transparent radiative thermal-dissipated paint increases the dissipation of the heat which is generated by the light-emitting diode 2.

In another embodiment, the reflective cup-shaped lamp 10 further comprises a sheltering part (not shown in the figure). The sheltering part is configured somewhere of the lens unit 12. For example, the sheltering part may be configured at the central portion of the lens unit 12 so that the beam of light LB may not be emitted from the reflection part 124 directly.

This invention is disclosed by the preferred embodiments above, but a person having ordinary skill in the art shall understand that, the embodiments are used only to describe this invention rather than to limit this invention. It should be noted that, those equivalent or substantially equivalent replacements or changes shall be covered by this invention. The protection range of this invention shall be therefore subject to the claims thereinafter.
