Brassiere, especially to be used when sporting or at convalescence after operation |
(57) A brassiere, especially to be used when sporting or at convalescence after operation
is disclosed. It is made from textile fabrics, designed with two cups (3,4) carried
by each its shoulder band (1,2) connected to each other by one side band each, releasably
locked to each other behind the back. It is especially characterized in that the length of the shoulder bands is settable
by eyes and hooks (8, 9).

|
[0001] The present invention relates to a brassiere, especially to be used when sporting
or at convalescence after operation, made from textile fabrics, designed with two
cups, carried by two shoulder bands and connected to each other by one side band each,
releasably locked to each other behind the back.
[0002] Such brassieres are available in a great number of designs, but there is still no
brassiere, that is adaptable to different body constitutions and demands, especially
at convalescence after operation.
[0003] According to the invention, a brassiere according to the art mentioned introductorily
is primarily characterized in that the length of the shoulder bands is settable by
hooks and eyes.
[0004] In one advantageous embodiment the shoulder bands are connected to each other behind
the back, each by its side band without crossing each other, each with such an angle
a in relationship to a vertical line, that they fit safely to the shoulders. The angle
α is preferably 6 to 13 degrees.
[0005] In one further suitable embodiment the brassiere is made without seams. The brassiere
according to the invention is described in the following, reference being made to
the enclosed schematic figures, of which:
figure 1 shows a frontal view of a brassiere according to the invention,
figure 2 shows a back view of the same brassiere, and
figure 3 shows a frontal view, seen at an angle.
[0006] In the figures the two shoulder bands are marked 1 and 2. They carry the cups 3,4
and are connected to each other by each its side band 5,6.
They are releasably locked by hooks and eyes 7. The length of the shoulder bands is
settable by eyes and hooks 8,9. The shoulder bands 1,2 are connected behind the back
by each its side band 5,6 without crossing each other, each with such an angle α to
a vertical line that they fit safely to the shoulders. In the embodiment shown of
the brassiere according the invention, see especially figure 1, the angle α is about
11 degrees, but the angle is advantageously within the range 6 to 13 degrees.
In order to admit the best comfort the brassiere is manufactured by seamless fabric.
1. Brassiere, especially to be used when sporting or at convalescence after operation,
made from textile fabrics, designed with two cups, carried by each its shoulder band
(1,2) connected to each other by one side band (5,6) each, releasably locked (7) to
each other behind the back,
characterized in that
the length of the shoulder bands (1,2) is settable by eyes and hooks (8,9).
2. Brassiere according to claim 1,
characterized in that
the shoulder bands (1,2) are connected behind the back by each its side band (5,6)
without crossing each other, each with such an angle α to a vertical line that they
fit safely to the shoulders.
3. Brassiere according to claim 2,
characterized in that
the angle α is 6 to 13 degrees.
4. Brassiere according to any of claims 1 to 3,
characterized in that
it is manufactured without seams.
