OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a spraying device to spray water over crops, mainly
focused on fruit tree crops, which purpose is not only to water the trees, but to
create a moisture layer over the surface of the fruit tree itself and its components,
including leaves, stems and the fruits themselves.
[0002] It is especially applicable to the field of the agricultural industry.
TECHNICAL PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED AND BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] In the current state of art, a diversity of methods related to the irrigation of
crops is known. The methods mainly focus on the sprinkling technique, by regulating
the flow rate and supply schedules.
[0004] One of the current problems consists on the frosts taking place when the trees are
at the bloom stage or when they have already given their fruits and the same are ripening.
These frosts, which can take place not only during the winter but throughout the year,
produce the loss of the majority of the harvest not existing a method to repair the
damages caused.
[0005] The present invention solves this problem that has not been solved in the present
state of the art with a very small flow rate, which consists on provoking a moisture
layer over the total surface of the fruit tree with a drop size larger than the conventional
drop size, which leads the drop not to freeze and keep its temperature at 0 °C, thereby
providing protection against the frost.
[0006] To achieve the foregoing, water is sprayed over the fruit trees, such that the dampening
of the majority of the bloom or the fruits of the trees of the plantation is ensured.
This rain is caused by means of a sprinkling system from a considerable height that
can cover the entirety of the trees in the working radius of each sprinkler.
[0007] In addition, the spraying system by means of pulses reduces the consumption of water
in a significant manner.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The present invention describes a spraying device for crops connected to a pipe system
located in the cultivated land intended to be sprayed. The crops on which this invention
is focused are fruit trees, although they might be, without any type of modifications
made to the invention, any other type of fruit, vegetable or even surface.
[0009] The spraying device is located at a certain height, fixed to an element, such that
it can spray on the product of the crop from above.
[0010] The device is composed of a flowmeter regulating the working water flow rate, a pushbutton
controlling the undertaking of pulses for the spraying of water, and a head comprising
a valve in charge of the sprinkling of water.
[0011] The spraying device is located at a certain height on a fixing support in order to
reach the entirety of the components of the fruit trees of the plantation.
[0012] The pushbutton comprises an expansion chamber wherein water is stored until it is
filled, in order to then emit pulses releasing fixed amounts of water and carrying
out the irrigation. Said pushbutton has a double effect. On one hand it achieves the
emission of water in a broader working radius than with conventional devices. On the
other hand, a specific drop size can be achieved, larger than usual, which also improves
the efficiency of the device.
[0013] The valve of the sprinkling head causes the hydraulic force exerted by the water
on said valve by means of the pulses sent by the pushbutton to generate a spraying
in the form of water rings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

of the features of the invention, according to a preferred embodiment, a set of drawings
has been included, representing the following figures in an illustrative rather than
limitative manner.

DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0016] The present invention relates to a spraying device intended for the spraying of water
over fruit tree crops, with the main purpose of creating a moisture layer over the
surface of the fruit tree itself and its components, that is to say, the leaves, the
stem and the fruits themselves, such that a temperature drop below 0 °C that could
affect the same is avoided.
[0017] As shown in figure 1, the device is formed by a flowmeter (1), which controls the
amount of water circulating through the irrigation tube (4) to be sprayed, a pushbutton
(2) in charge of the storage of water in an expansion chamber to, after the filling
thereof, carry out the pulses with which water to be sprayed is sent, and a sprinkling
head (3), which carries out the spraying through a valve (7).
[0018] Figure 2 represents the working situation of the spraying device, placed on a fixing
support (5), which holds it at the desired height, and connected to a supply pipe
network (6) covering the entirety of the land desired to be irrigated.
[0019] The fruit tree cropland intended to be sprayed is covered by a network of supply
pipes (6), which are the ones that take the water towards the irrigation tubes (4),
to be sprayed from that point. The entirety of the land is intended to be covered
by means of these supply pipes (6), such that the spraying devices are placed distributed
throughout the land to be sprayed, taking into account the working area that each
of the sprayers is capable of covering.
[0020] As represented in figure 2, we can see that the height at which the spraying device
is placed is sufficient to fully reach the entirety of the fruit trees in the working
radius of each spraying device.
[0021] The present invention should not be limited to the embodiment described herein. Other
configurations can be made by experts in the art based on the present description.
Therefore, the scope of the invention is defined by the following claims.
1. Spraying device for crops connected to a supply pipe system (6) located at a cultivated
land intended to be sprayed,

where the spraying device is located at a certain height on a fixing support (5) in
order to reach the entirety of the components of the fruit trees of the plantation.
2. Spraying device for crops according to claim 1, characterized in that the pushbutton (2) comprises an expansion chamber wherein water is stored until it
is filled, in order to then emit pulses releasing fixed amounts of water and carrying
