(54) System and method for call routing and paging across different types of networks


(57) There is provided a server for providing network services to at least one wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the server configured to communicate with a plurality of networks including an external voice and/or data network, the server comprising a circuit function for receiving an addressing message from the WTRU, wherein the server is configured to respond to the received addressing message from the WTRU, thereby permitting establishment of a communications link between the WTRU and a target network through a network connected to the WTRU, and wherein the server is configured to receive an indication of connectivity of the WTRU from the network connected to the WTRU.
