Field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a shoe provided with a heel.
State of the art
[0002] Shoes with or without an embellishment are of common knowledge. The known shoes with
an embellishment have a permanent embellishment and this forms an undetachable integral
unit with the shoe. This determines the look of the shoe.
[0003] An embellishment may be thought to be for example a stylish black bow or a brightly
coloured artificial flower.
[0004] Different occasions, such as a solemn occasion or a party, often ask for different
shoes which are suitable for that occasion. In consequence, it is necessary to have
a relatively large number of shoes to be able to wear suitable shoes for each occasion.
Summary of the invention
[0005] It is an object of the invention to provide a shoe of the type defined in the opening
paragraph which can be provided in a simple manner with an (additional) embellishment
which in addition can be exchanged or removed in a simple manner so as to tune the
shoe better to different occasions. For this purpose the shoe according to the invention
is characterized in that the shoe further includes an embellishment which is provided
with a clamping bracket by which the embellishment is detachably clamped around the
heel. The look of the shoe according to the invention can be adapted in a simple manner,
so that this shoe can be used on different occasions. As a result, fewer shoes will
suffice to nevertheless be in a position to wear a suitable shoe for each occasion.
The look of the shoe according to the invention can be adapted in a simple manner
and suitably tuned to the occasion concerned. For example a black shoe can be provided
with a high-gloss black bow for solemn occasions or for example a brightly red or
green artificial flower for summery occasions.
[0006] An embodiment of the shoe according to the invention is characterized in that the
clamping bracket is conical and at least part of the heel is also conical having at
least substantially the same vertical top angle as that of the clamping bracket, where
the clamping bracket at the location of the conical part of the heel is clamped around
the heel and the removable disc is fitted to the shoe. This avoids the embellishment
undesiredly shifting in vertical direction relative to the heel and rotating around
the heel. In this embodiment the heel needs no adapting.
[0007] A further embodiment of the shoe according to the invention is characterized in that
the clamping bracket is closely fitting around the heel over the entire or substantially
entire periphery. This provides a firm attachment of the embellishment around the
heel.
[0008] The clamping bracket is preferably flush mounted in the heel. As a result, the embellishment
is enclosed in the heel so that it is even better attached to the heel.
[0009] A still further embodiment of the shoe according to the invention is characterized
in that the clamping bracket is comprised of a removable part that is fastened to
the heel. The removable part is for example a round disk which is fitted to the heel
by means of double-sided tape or glue. The rest of the clamping bracket is situated
around the removable part and can be removed from this part and again fastened to
it.
[0010] Preferably, the clamping bracket is interrupted at one spot, so that it is present
clamped around the heel in a slightly open bent state and is thus clamped extra firmly
to the heel.
[0011] Again a further embodiment of the shoe according to the invention is characterized
in that the heel is provided with a peripheral groove which partly accommodates the
clamping bracket. This prevents the embellishment shifting along the heel in an undesired
manner.
[0012] Preferably, the peripheral groove is interrupted at one spot. Combined with a clamping
bracket also interrupted at one spot the embellishment is prevented from rotating
around the heel.
Brief description of the drawing figures
[0013] The invention will be further described below in more detail with reference to examples
of embodiment of the shoe according to the invention represented in the drawing figures,
in which:
Fig. 1 represents a side view of a first embodiment of a shoe according to the invention
provided with a detachable embellishment;
Fig. 2 represents a detail of a part of the shoe represented in Fig. 1 in a perspective
view to the front of the heel;
Fig. 3 represents a rear view of the shoe represented in Fig. 1;
Fig. 4 represents a detail of a part of the shoe represented in Fig. 1 in the place
of the heel with detached embellishment;
Fig. 5 represents a heel with a loose embellishment of a second embodiment of the
shoe according to the invention;
Fig. 6 represents a detail of the heel represented in Fig. 5 with the embellishment
nearly in the desired position; and
Fig. 7 represents the detail of the heel represented in Fig. 6 with the embellishment
in final position.
Detailed description of the drawing figures.
[0014] In Figs. 1, 2 and 3 is represented a first embodiment of the shoe according to the
invention in various views. The shoe 1 is provided with a sole 3 and a heel 5 as well
as an embellishment 7 fitted around the heel and which is detachably clamped around
the heel.
[0015] The embellishment 7 comprises a clamping bracket 9 by which the embellishment is
clamped around the heel in a detachable manner, as well as an ornament 11 that has
the appearance of an artistically shaped artificial flower.
[0016] The clamping bracket 9 has a slightly conical shape as has the upper part of the
heel 5 of the shoe, where the angle of the cone shape of the clamping bracket and
that of a part of the heel are equal. Over the entire periphery the clamping bracket
9 closely fits around the heel 5. In consequence, the clamping action results in a
firm fixation of the embellishment to the heel.
[0017] The clamping bracket 9 comprises a removable round disc 12 which is fitted to the
heel by means of double sided tape or glued to it. The disk is clampingly present
in the rest of the heel and can be removed from the heel and be attached to it again.
[0018] For illustrative purposes Fig. 4 represents a detail of a part of the shoe in the
place of the heel with detached embellishment.
[0019] Figs. 5, 6 and 7 represent a heel 13 with a loose embellishment 15 of a second embodiment
of the shoe according to the invention, represented in various positions of the embellishment
relative to the heel during the fitting of the embellishment around the heel, where
Fig. 7 represents the embellishment 15 fitted in the final position around the heel
13.
[0020] In this embodiment the clamping bracket 17 is interrupted at one spot 19 and the
heel 13 is provided with a peripheral groove 21 in which the clamping bracket 17 is
partly accommodated. This groove ensures that the embellishment is prevented from
shifting relative to the heel without large clamping forces being required for this.
This peripheral groove 21 is also interrupted at one spot 23, so that the embellishment
15 cannot rotate around the heel 13.
[0021] Albeit the invention has been described in the foregoing based on the drawing figures,
it should be observed that the invention is not by any manner or means restricted
to the embodiments shown in the drawing figures. The invention also extends to all
embodiments deviating from the embodiments shown in the drawing figures within the
scope defined by the claims. For example the heel may be provided with a recess and
the clamping bracket may be closely fitting in the recess, so that the embellishment
is flush mounted in the heel so as to achieve an even better fixation of the embellishment
to the heel.
