(57) Radio frequency tracking device for use in lethal and non-lethal weapons, with registration and non-registration of shooting, the tracking device designed to be applied more specifically in firearms as revolvers, pistols, rifles, guns and the like, and non-lethal weapons such as taser guns paint ball and others; which receive a micro tracking device (2) indication positioning radio frequency, and optionally with further GPS and other equipment, and an interconnected sensor (3).

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention is in the field of devices used in weapons, such as revolvers, pistols, guns, rifles and similar, and non-lethal weapons such as tasers, paint ball guns and others.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] It is public knowledge that the modernization of the current global positioning system, brings a new generation of satellites and other tools that have been launched to replace the earlier and first equipment now in orbit. This will enable the implementation and the use of new technologies. However, various factors and situations interferes or disrupts the performance, such as in days with overcast sky, crowded urban centers, closed and contained places such as in buildings and others.

[0003] Knowing that external factors interfere in the collection and registration of data and that weapons are usually kept indoors and cannot be detected by a GPS signal, it is needed therefor a device designed to be used on the location of weapons as a small radio frequency tracking device installed in any kind of weapon, without having to change the structural characteristics of the weapon, such as the weight, and a the same time being even unnoticeable to the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] As firearms are usually controlled by the state, with strict laws, where a citizen has legal obligations on its possession, the present invention was developed for enabling lethal or non-lethal weapon to receive a small tracking device. In addition to inform the location in real time, it also allows the particular owner, public agencies, military or other, to locate the weapons in case of theft or loss. It also allows to obtain and register all the historical records of the weapon through an electronic equipment using any kind of technology for the same.

[0005] The present invention seeks to provide a radio frequency tracking device for use in lethal and non-lethal weapons, the device comprising: (a) a micro radio frequency tracking device (2) implanted into the weapon, and receiving information and emitting, at least the information on locations and shootings of the weapon; (b) a sensor reader (3), reading the information emitted by the tracking device; (c) a capsule (4) registering and storing the information emitted by the tracking device; optionally connected to the sensor reader; (d) an antenna (5) transmitting the information stored by the capsule or emitted by the tracking device, to a desired target, and (e) a battery, supplying power to the tracking device, to the sensor reader, to the capsule and to the antenna; the battery constructed and arranged to be recharged by an external device or internally by an internal power self-generating electronic device.

BIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0006]

Figure 1 shows a weapon with the radio frequency tracking device implanted within the weapon's structure.

Figure 2 shows an expanded view of the tracking device including the sensor reader (3) for reading the information emitted by the tracking device.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The present invention allows for the weapons to be monitored by tracking by RF (Radio Frequency), or alternatively with a further other similar suitable technologies for transmitting and receiving; accurately stating the location in real time. The present invention also enables the registration in real time, the location, the moment the weapon is fired, the record of how many times the weapon was fired, the property identification and registration data of the weapon and its owner.

[0008] The manufacture and production will be the responsibility of the industrial manufacturers of electronic components, devices and transmitters of signals, characterized by the use of a communication satellite or frequency, constructed to inform the location of a weapon through information obtained by radio frequency, GPS or other transmission technology.

[0009] Another indispensable tool that fits precisely to the project are the devices and antennas that detect the presence of weapons having the, detecting in real time the presence of any weapons in the location by issuing a signal. This is no matter if they are at airports, bus stations, shopping centers, cinemas and other public places that self-denounce the central monitoring. Also, all data of the weapon and its bearer are already being made available in real time.

[0010] This new technology is applied to weapons of any type and model, allowing to be detected by a tracking system when nearby.

[0011] Consider the example of a vehicle having inside some kind of firearm possessing the tracking device. When approaching a barrier to stop for inspection, the weapon is automatically detected, even before the vehicle is stopped for search and inspection, sometimes without the need for inspection after stopping the same.

[0012] The present invention also enables the detection of a weapon inside a vehicle or other container even on the move.

[0013] The tracking device may further comprise a system, which tells if a weapon was fired, and how often it happened. This function aims to ensure the information when and where it was shot / fired is detected, which is extremely important for the location of the armament.

[0014] This tracking device can also be activated by manufacturers to monitor the transfer of weaponry to its point of delivery. That is, if a shipment is stolen, it enables the vehicle to be found. On the other hand, if only a few weapon units are subtracted / stolen / misappropriated, they can be easily tracked.

[0015] The tracking device can be attached to a weapon already marketed and used, or can come with the device directly from the factory.

[0016] The invention is not limited to be applied only to the security of civilians, but also to be applied in the collective use of weapons, such as private security companies and armed escorts for officials of the police, armed forces and others.

[0017] A system with the device of the present invention will allow a citizen who owns any weapon that is kept at home, to be warned if the weapon is dislocated beyond a pre-programmed distance. Thus if one or more weapons are removed from a site, its owner is informed automatically and in real time.

[0018] As it can be seen in the figures the device of the present invention comprises a lethal or non-lethal weapon (1), which receives the radio frequency tracking device (2), with a predefined or non-predefined frequency RF positioning statement. Optionally the device includes a GPS and other devices that emit location information and report shooting. A reading of the shooting and location is performed by the sensor (3), optionally connected to the capsule (4), which is in any format, for the storage of the tracking device (2) with a receiving and transmitting antenna (5). The device, antenna, sensor and capsule are powered electrically or by battery (6). Which is rechargeable via external device (7), or internally through any suitable electronic device (8) which generates energy to be moved, by jarring, vibration or oscillation frequencies.

[0019] The capsule (4) registers and store the information emitted by the tracking device when connected to the sensor reader. The antenna (5) transmits the information stored by the capsule or emitted by the tracking device, directly to the desired target, to a system or to a detector / locator.

[0020] The tracking device with radio frequency of the present invention, applied in lethal and non-lethal weapons, attend to all the necessary security requirements, even if some modifications are necessary.

[0021] It should be understood that the preferred embodiments mentioned here are merely illustrative of the present invention. Numerous variations in design and use of the present invention may be contemplated in view of the following claims without straying from the intended scope and field of the invention herein disclosed.
