(54) Energy harvesting system for remote monitoring devices

(57) A system may include a thermoelectric device that may convert heat energy into electrical energy. The system may also include a pipeline interface that may be disposed on a pipeline, such that the heat energy dissipated from the pipeline is thermally conducted to the thermoelectric device via the pipeline interface. The system may also include a monitoring system that may include one or more sensors that may measure one or more properties associated with an oilfield component. The monitoring system may receive the electrical energy from the thermoelectric device.
