| (57) There is provided a lens edging system including: a plurality of edgers configured
to perform edging to a spectacle lens; and an edging size management device used in
connection with the plurality of edgers, the edging size management device comprising
a memory unit configured to store and hold information for each model of the edger,
regarding edging characteristics when a lens material is edged using an edging tool
of the edger, in association with a type of the lens material to be edged by the edger,
and a type of the edging tool used by the edger, wherein the information stored and
held in the memory unit is the information regarding edging characteristics of the
edger obtained by at least one of the plurality of edgers, and an edger of the same
model as at least one of the plurality of edgers comprises a correction unit configured
to correct an edging parameter for the edging based on the information stored and
held in the memory unit when edging is performed to the lens material using the edging
tool of the edger. |
