Description

Field of the invention

[0001] The present invention generally finds application in the field of product presentation to the public and particularly relates to a foldable stand.

Background art

[0002] Foldable stands are known to be generally used in shops or points of sale for presentation of small- to medium-sized items and/or articles to the public.

[0003] Particularly, such stands are formed with one or more movable panels of sheet material, which are appropriately shaped to assume a flat, folded configuration during storage, to minimize their dimensions, and a deployed configuration for product display.

[0004] Furthermore, advertising prints or decorative elements are often provided on the faces of such panels, to identify the particular product being displayed, and motivate consumers to purchase it.

[0005] IT1335144 discloses a foldable stand comprising a single sheet of material divided into a plurality of adjacent panels by substantially parallel folding lines.

[0006] A foldable stand according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US 5 641 063 A.

[0007] In the folded configuration, the panels lie substantially one on top of the other to form a flat structure, to minimize dimensions. To assume the deployed configuration, one of the panels is partially inserted into a slot formed along the central folding line of another panel.

[0008] Furthermore, in the deployed position certain panels are folded along their respective folding lines to form a lower support structure that can support the panel inserted in the slot, substantially orthogonal to the support plane.

[0009] In this configuration, the support structure defines an opening that can be accessed from outside for introducing and storing any product to be displayed.

[0010] One drawback of this arrangement is its relative instability, because the panels of the support structure are not mutually restrained and may slide relative to each other, thereby causing the stand to collapse, thereby affecting readability and understanding of the prints by a consumer.

[0011] A further drawback of this known arrangement is that, in the folded position, the advertising images on the faces of the stand panel that is designed to be inserted into the slot are not visible.

[0012] This is because the prints can be only displayed by at least partially introducing the main panel into the slot, thereby actually causing the stand to assume its deployed position.

Disclosure of the invention

[0013] The object of the present invention is to overcome the above drawbacks, by providing a foldable stand that is highly efficient and relatively cost-effective.

[0014] A particular object of the present invention is to provide a foldable stand that can stably maintain a deployed position for display of advertisements and/or products.

[0015] A further object of the present invention is to provide a foldable stand that has a reduced size in its folded position

[0016] A further object of the present invention is to provide a foldable stand that allows simplified recognition of the information associated therewith even in the folded position.

[0017] Also, a further object of the present invention is to provide a foldable stand that has a simple construction and is easy to use.

[0018] These and other objects, as better explained hereafter, are fulfilled by a foldable stand as defined in claim 1.

Detailed description of a preferred embodiment

[0021] Referring to the accompanying figures, there is shown a foldable stand, generally identified with numeral 1, which is designed to be employed in shops or other points of sale to display multiple items for sale, such as cosmetic containers, drugs, stationery articles, candies or other similar products.

[0022] In the particular embodiment of the invention as shown in the figures, the stand 1 comprises a first panel 2 with mutually joined peripheral portions 3, 4, having a slot 6 with a pair of closed ends 7, 8.

[0023] In the particular configuration of the invention as show in the figures, the slot 6 extends along a longitudinal axis L, and the first panel 2 is a substantially sheet-like member with a central longitudinal folding line 5 disposed level with the slot 6.

[0024] The stand also comprises a second panel 9 which is joined to one of the end portions 3, 4 of the first panel 2 and has an opposite free end 10.

[0025] Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 to 5, the second panel 9 may also be a sheet-like member and have a narrower portion 11 comprising the free end 10 and a wider portion 12, which is joined to the peripheral portions 3, 4 of the first panel 2.

[0026] Particularly, as best shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, the larger portion 12 of the second panel 9 may be joined to the first panel 2 at a longitudinal end edge 13 thereof.

[0027] In the embodiment as shown in the figures, the first panel 2 and the second panel 9 may be formed from a single sheet member 14.

[0028] Particularly, the single sheet 14 may be obtained by die-cutting a base sheet material selected from the group comprising paper, cardboard or polymeric materials.

[0029] Alternatively, in a further embodiment, not shown, the first panel 2 and the second panel 9 may be obtained by die-cutting two distinct sheet members and be joined at a later time.

[0071] The above description clearly shows that the foldable stand fulfills the intended objects and particularly meets the requirement of maintaining high stability when it is in the deployed configuration, and to make the decorative and/or advertising designs visible to the consumer even when it is in the folded configuration.

Claims

1. A foldable stand (1) comprising:

- a first panel (2) with mutually connected peripheral portions (3, 4);

- a slot (6) formed in said first panel (2) along a longitudinal axis (L) and having closed ends (7, 8);

- a second panel (9) joined to one of said peripheral portions (3, 4) of said first panel (2) and having a free end (10) and a pair of opposite faces (15, 16);

- holding means (33) associated with said slot (6) and adapted to promote retention of said second panel (9) by friction;

wherein said first panel (2) and said second panel (9) are adapted to move from a folded configuration in which they lie one on top of the other, to a deployed configuration in which the free end (10) of said second panel (9) extends through said slot (6) and said first panel (2) defines a support structure (19);
characterized in that said slot (6) comprises a wider central portion (36) which is adapted to allow the second panel (9) to fit therein with some clearance, and narrower end portions (36', 36"), said holding means (33) comprising at least one pair of appendices (34, 35) formed at a respective narrower end portion (36', 36") and delimited by a respective transverse slit (37, 38) formed in said first panel (2) proximate to a corresponding end (7, 8) of said slot (6), said appendices (34, 35) of at least one pair having respective longitudinal edges (34', 35') and being movable upwards to allow said second panel (9) to contact said longitudinal edges (34', 35') and frictionally interact with said opposite faces (15, 16) of said second panel (9).

2. Stand as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said narrower end portions (36', 36") have a stepped profile and comprise tip zones (39', 39") defining said appendices (34, 35), with said longitudinal edges (34', 35') substantially contacting each other.

3. Stand as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said second panel (9) has a narrower portion (11) comprising said free end (10) and a wider portion (12) joined to said peripheral portions (3, 4) of said first panel (2) and designed to interact with said pairs of movable appendices (34, 35).

4. Stand as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that said narrower portion (11) of said second panel (9) is adapted to carry one or more decorative and/or advertising designs (17).

5. Stand as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that said first panel (2) has a central folding line (5) formed at said slot (6), a pair of peripheral folding lines (20, 21) and at least one pair of intermediate folding lines (22, 23) formed on opposite sides from said central folding line (5) at predetermined distances (d₁, d₂) therefrom.

6. A stand as claimed in claim 5, characterized in that said first panel (2) defines a pair of first portions (24, 25), which extend between said at least one pair of intermediate folding lines (22, 23) and said central folding line (5) and a pair of second portions (26, 27) which extend between said at least one pair of intermediate folding lines (22, 23) and said pair of peripheral folding lines (20, 21).

7. Stand as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that said support structure (19) is defined by said pair of first portions (24, 25) and said pair of second portions (26, 27) and has a substantially triangular cross sectional shape when the stand is in the deployed configuration, with said second portions (26, 27) substantially coplanar, to define a support structure (29).

8. Stand as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that said first portions (24, 25) have at least one opening (30, 31) for defining a compartment (32) in said support structure (19) for containing the products being displayed when the stand (1) is in the deployed configuration.

9. Stand as claimed in claim 8, characterized in that said at least one opening (30, 31) is placed in said first panel (2) in such a position that the decorative and/or advertising designs (17) carried by said second panel (9) are visible when the stand (1) is in the folded configuration.

10. Stand as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said first panel (2) and said second panel (9) are formed from a single sheet member (14) which is made of a material selected from the group comprising paper, cardboard, polymeric materials or the like.

Ansprüche

1. Ein faltbarer Ständer (1) mit:

- einem ersten Paneel (2) mit gegenseitig verbundenen äußeren Bereichen (3,4),

- einem Schlitz (6), der in dem ersten Paneel (2) entlang einer longitudunalen Achse (L) gebildet ist und geschlossene Enden (7, 8) hat,

- einem zweiten Paneel (9), das mit einem der äußeren Bereiche (3, 4) des ersten Paneels (2) verbunden ist und ein freies Ende (10) und ein Paar sich gegenüber liegender Seiten (15, 16) hat,

- Halteeinrichtungen (33), die mit dem Schlitz (6) verbunden sind und ausgebildet sind das Zurückhalten des zweiten Paneels (9) mittels Reibung zu unterstützen,

wobei das erste Paneel (2) und das zweite Paneel (9) ausgebildet sind, sich von einer gefalteten Anordnung, in der sie eines auf dem anderen liegen, zu einer entfalteten Anordnung zu bewegen, in der das freie Ende (10) des zweiten Paneels (9) sich durch den Schlitz (6) erstreckt und das erste Paneel (2) eine Tragstruktur (19) bildet,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schlitz (6) einen breiteren zentralen Abschnitt (36) aufweist, der ausgebildet ist, es dem zweiten Paneel (9) zu ermöglichen, da hinein zu passen mit etwas Spiel, und engere Endabschnitte (36', 36"), wobei die Halteeinrichtungen (33) mindestens ein Paar von Fortsätzen (34, 35) aufweisen, die an einem jeweils engeren Endabschnitt (36', 36") gebildet sind und begrenzt sind durch einen jeweils transversalen Spalt (37, 38), der in dem ersten Paneel (2) nahe einem entsprechenden Ende (7, 8) des Schlitzes (6) gebildet ist, wobei die Fortsätze (34, 35) von mindestens einem Paar jeweils longitudinale Kanten (34', 35') haben und nach oben beweglich sind, um es dem zweiten Paneel (9) zu ermöglichen, sich an die longitudinalen Kanten (34', 35') an zu legen und mittels Reibung mit den sich gegenüber liegenden Seiten (15, 16) des zweiten Paneels (9) zusammen zu wirken.

2. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die engeren Endabschnitte (36', 36") ein gestuftes Profil haben und Spitzenzonen (39', 39") aufweisen, die diese Fortsätze (34, 35) bilden, wobei sich die longitudinalen Kanten (34', 35') im Wesentlichen gegenseitig berühren.

3. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das zweite Paneel (9) einen engeren Abschnitt (11) mit dem freien Ende (10) hat und einen weiteren Abschnitt (12), der verbunden ist mit den äußeren Bereichen (3, 4) des ersten Paneels (2) und ausgelegt ist, mit dem Paar beweglicher Fortsätze (34, 35) zusammen zu wirken.

4. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der engere Abschnitt (11) des zweiten Paneels (9) ausgebildet ist, eines oder mehrere dekorative und/oder werbende Muster (17) zu tragen.

5. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das erste Paneel (2) eine zentrale Faltlinie (5) hat, die an dem Schlitz (6) gebildet ist, ein Paar äußerer Faltlinien (20, 21) und mindestens ein Paar mittlerer Faltlinien (22, 23), die an gegenüber liegenden Seiten der zentralen Faltlinie (5) mit vorbestimmten Abständen (d₁, d₂) davon gebildet sind.

6. Ein Ständer gemäß Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das erste Paneel (2) ein Paar erster Abschnitte (24, 25) bildet, die sich zwischen dem mindestens einen Paar mittlerer Faltlinien (22, 23) und der zentralen Faltlinie (5) erstreckt und ein Paar zweiter Abschnitte (26, 27), die sich zwischen dem mindestens einen Paar mittlerer Faltlinien (22, 23) und dem Paar äußerer Faltlinie (20, 21) erstreckt.

7. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Tragstruktur (19) gebildet ist von dem Paar erster Abschnitte (24, 25) und dem Paar zweiter Abschnitte (26, 27) und eine im Wesentlichen dreieckige Querschnittsform hat, wenn der Ständer in der entfalteten Anordnung ist, wobei die zweiten Abschnitte (26, 27) im Wesentlichen koplanar sind, um eine Tragstruktur (29) zu bilden.

8. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die ersten Abschnitte (24, 25) mindestens eine Öffnung (30, 31) haben zur Bildung eines Raums (32) in der Tragstruktur (19) zur Aufnahme der Erzeugnisse zur Ausstellung, wenn der Ständer (1) in der entfalteten Anordnung ist.

9. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die mindestens eine Öffnung (30, 31) in dem ersten Paneel (2) in einer solchen Stellung angeordnet ist, dass die dekorativen und/oder werbenden Muster (17), die von dem zweiten Paneel (9) getragen werden, sichtbar sind, wenn der Ständer (1) in der gefalteten Anordnung ist.

10. Ständer gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das erste Paneel (2) und das zweite Paneel (9) aus einem einzigen Blattelement (14) gebildet sind, das aus einem Material hergestellt ist, das aus der Gruppe mit Papier, Pappe, polymerischen Materialien oder ähnlichem ausgewählt ist.

caractérisé en ce que ladite fente (6) comprend une partie centrale (36) plus large, apte à permettre au second panneau (9) de s'y insérer avec jeu, et des parties d'extrémité plus étroites (36', 36"), lesdits moyens de retenue (33) comprenant au moins une paire d'appendices (34, 35) formées au niveau d'une partie d'extrémité plus étroite respective (36', 36") et délimitées par une entaille transversale (37, 38) formée dans ledit premier panneau (2) près d'une extrémité correspondante (7, 8) de ladite fente (6), lesdites appendices (34, 35) d'au moins une paire ayant des bords longitudinaux respectifs (34', 35') et étant mobiles vers le haut pour permettre audit second panneau (9) de venir en contact avec lesdits bords longitudinaux (34', 35') et d'entrer en interaction de friction avec lesdites faces opposées (15, 16) dudit second panneau (9).

2. Présentoir selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que lesdites parties d'extrémité plus étroites (36', 36") ont un profil à gradins et comprennent des zones de pointe (39,', 39") définissant lesdites appendices (34, 35), avec lesdits bords longitudinaux (34', 35') sensiblement en contact l'un avec l'autre.

3. Présentoir selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que ledit second panneau (9) comporte une partie plus étroite (11) comprenant ladite extrémité libre (10) et une partie plus large (12) unie auxdites parties périphériques (3, 4) dudit premier panneau (2) et destinée à entrer en interaction avec lesdites paires d'appendices mobiles (34, 35).

4. Présentoir selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que ladite partie plus étroite (11) dudit second panneau (9) est apte à porter un ou plusieurs motifs décoratifs et/ou publicitaires (17).

5. Présentoir selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que ledit premier panneau (2) présente une ligne de pliage centrale (5) formée au niveau de ladite fente (6), une paire de lignes de pliage périphériques (20, 21) et au moins une paire de lignes de pliage intermédiaires (22, 23) formées sur des côtés opposés de ladite ligne de pliage centrale (5) et à des distances prédéterminées (d₁, d₂) de celle-ci.

6. Présentoir selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que ledit premier panneau (2) définit une paire de premières parties (24, 25) s'étendant entre ladite au moins une paire de lignes de pliage intermédiaires (22, 23) et ladite ligne de pliage centrale (5) et une paire de secondes parties (26, 27) s'étendant entre ladite au moins une paire de lignes de pliage intermédiaires (22, 23) et ladite paire de lignes de pliage périphériques (20, 21).

7. Présentoir selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que ladite structure de support (19) est définie par ladite paire de premières parties (24, 25) et ladite paire de secondes parties (26, 27) et présente une forme en coupe transversale sensiblement triangulaire lorsque le présentoir est dans la configuration déployée, avec lesdites secondes parties (26, 27) sensiblement coplanaires, pour définir une structure de support (29).

8. Présentoir selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que lesdites premières parties (24, 25) comportent au moins une ouverture (30, 31) pour définir un compartiment (32) dans ladite structure de support (19) pour contenir les produits exposés lorsque le présentoir (1) est dans la configuration déployée.

9. Présentoir selon la revendication 8, caractérisé en ce que ladite au moins une ouverture (30, 31) est située dans ledit premier panneau (2) dans une telle position que les motifs décoratifs et/ou publicitaires (17) portés par ledit second panneau (9) soient visibles lorsque le présentoir (1) est dans la configuration pliée.

10. Présentoir selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que ledit premier panneau (2) et ledit second panneau (9) sont formés à partir d'un seul élément en feuille (14) constitué d'un matériau choisi dans le groupe comprenant papier, carton, matériaux polymères ou similaires.
