(54) A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOCATING A DISTURBANCE IN AN ELECTRICAL GRID


(57) A method and apparatus for anticipating and/or locating a disturbance or fault in a power line in a three-phase electrical grid such that several measurement points are placed at some distance from one another along the power line, the measurement points including a remote detector intended for each phase conductor at a distance from the phase conductor. Using the remote detectors, the strength of each phase conductor's voltage field is measured separately at the measurement point, and a fault in the power line is anticipated and/or located by means of a change in the strength of the voltage and/or voltage field of the conductor.
