(54) System for detecting a pressure difference between the interior and the exterior of an aircraft

(57) The present invention relates to a system for detecting a pressure difference between the interior (8) of a cabin of an aircraft and the exterior (7) of the aircraft. The system (1) comprises a window arrangement (3), which comprises a first windowpane (4) having a first surface (4a) and an opposite second surface (4b) and is adapted to be mounted in an aircraft such that the first surface (4a) of the first windowpane (4) is facing towards the exterior (7) of the aircraft and is subjected to the ambient atmospheric pressure and the second surface (4b) faces towards the interior (8) of a cabin of the aircraft, and a pressure sensor (10) comprising a first pressure port (13). The first windowpane (4) comprises a first air passage opening (11) extending between the first and second surfaces (4a, 4b) of the first windowpane (4), and the pressure sensor (10) is sealingly connected to the first air passage opening (11) such that the first pressure port (13) of the pressure sensor (10) is subjected to pressure acting on the first surface (4a) of the first windowpane (4).
