(57) The present invention is a home appliance (1), particularly a cooking device having a control knob (20) for setting the functions thereof by being rotated, said control knob (20) having a body (30) and a sheath (40) having a peripheral side wall (41) at least partially covering a side face (31) of the body (30). As an improvement, in order to secure the sheath (40) on the body (30), the control knob (20) comprises at least one retaining element (34), which is formed on an inner face (43) of the side wall (41) of the sheath (40) and on at least one side face (31) of the body (30) and; at least one recess (45) formed on the inner face (43) of the side wall (41) and on the other side face (31) of the body (30) so as to correspond to the retaining element (34).
