OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The field of application of the present invention falls within the industry sector
devoted to the manufacturing of tools, equipment and devices designed to improve people's
quality of life.
[0002] More particularly, the object of the invention focuses on a device whose purpose
is to provide a practical, comfortable way of helping to run at home without the need
to move away.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] As is commonly known, due to inclement weather conditions, sometimes it is not possible
to leave home for running outdoors. The use of devices designed for indoor running
has been disclosed, but these devices are very complex, sophisticated and expensive.
The device for helping to run of the present invention makes it possible indoors running,
in a simple manner and without the need to purchase costly devices.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0004] In order to solve said problems, the invention proposes a device designed to helping
to run, such that said exercise may be performed in a simple and comfortable manner
wherever the device is installed, for example at home, without the need to move away.
[0005] To this end, said device is essentially comprises a support structure, equipped with
fixing means for allowing fixing thereof to a wall, preferably by means of screws,
and a harness that is attached to said structure and to the user, for which purpose
it is equipped with fast anchoring means.
[0006] Moreover, said harness has, preferably at the end that is attached to the user, usually
by the waist, a section of elastic material which allows for a certain freedom of
movement beyond the maximum length of the harness and which, therefore, determines
the user's effort to overcome the tension thereof, when attempting to run with the
harness attached to the waist.
[0007] In addition, it is worth noting that, in the preferred embodiment of the invention,
the support structure is configured as a casing, which creates a precisely-sized housing
wherein the harness described above may be kept when not in use and, moreover, allows
for it to be subsequently used in a fast, practical manner, since said harness may
be kept in the housing without the need to disassemble the anchoring that connects
it to the support structure. To this end, the aforementioned casing is preferably
open at the top, with an exit located just beneath the aforementioned anchoring.
[0008] Therefore, the device has the advantage of helping to run whenever the user so desires,
without having to go out or move away from home, and without having to purchase complex
machines or devices.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0009] In order to complement the description being made and in order to contribute to a
better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, the present specification
is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by a diagram wherein, for illustrative,
non-limiting purposes, the following is represented:
Figure 1.- Shows an upper perspective view of an embodiment of the device of the invention,
which presents the main parts and elements that it comprises, as well as the configuration
and arrangement thereof.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0010] In view of the figure described above, Figure 1, and, on the basis of the numbering
adopted therein, we observe a preferred, non-limiting embodiment of the proposed device
for helping to run, which comprises the parts and elements specified and described
in detail below.
[0011] According to said Figure 1, it is to observe that the device (1) in question is configured
on the basis of a support structure (2) equipped with fixing means that allow for
fixation thereof to a wall, for example, two or three openings (3) designed for the
insertion of sleeper screws, and a harness (4) which, equipped with anchoring means
(5, 6), is attached, on one end, to said structure (2) and, on the other, to the user,
for example, to his/her waist.
[0012] Preferably, these anchoring means (5, 6) are quick-fixation means, and are composed
of, for example, a first flange (5), designed for fixation to the support structure
(2), and a hook (6), designed to be attached to the user, and which generally includes
a ring (7).
[0013] Moreover, the harness (4), preferably located at the end that is attached to the
user, is equipped with, at least, an elastic section (8) which grants it a certain
freedom of movement beyond the maximum length of the harness and which, therefore,
determines the effort to be made by the user in order to overcome the tension thereof.
In the example represented, this elastic section (8) is attached to the harness (4)
by means of a second flange (5'), which, in turn, is attached to the end of a rope
making part of the elastic section (8) of the harness (4), although this does not
meant to be a limitation.
[0014] As mentioned in the preceding sections, in the preferred embodiment of the invention,
the support structure (2) is configured as a casing (9) that defines a housing (10)
suitable to keep the harness therein (4).
[0015] Finally, in the preferred configuration of said casing (9), an exit of the housing
(10) is located on the upper part thereof, just beneath the anchoring (5) that attaches
the harness (4) to the structure (2), such that the harness (4) may be kept inside
said housing (10) without the need to disassemble said anchoring (5).
1. Device for helping to run, characterised in that it comprises a support structure (2) equipped with fixing means that allow for fixation
thereof to a wall, and a harness (4) which, equipped with anchoring means (5, 6),
is attached, on one end, to said structure (2) and, on the other, to the user, wherein
this harness (4) is equipped with, at least, an elastic section (8) for providing
the user with a certain freedom of movement beyond a maximum length of the harness
(4).
2. Device for helping to run, according to claim 1, wherein the fixing means that allow
for fixation of the support structure (2) to a wall comprise two or three openings
(3) designed for the insertion of sleeper screws.
3. Device for helping to run, according to claims 1 or 2, wherein the anchoring means
(5, 6) of the harness (4) are quick-fixation means.
4. Device for helping to run, according to claim 3, wherein the anchoring means (5, 6)
of the harness (4) comprise a flange (5) designed to be attached to the support structure
(2), and a hook (6) designed to be attached to the user.
5. Device for helping to run, according to any of claims 1-4, wherein the elastic section
(8) of the harness (4) is located at the end of the harness (4) that is attached to
the user.
6. Device for helping to run, according to any of claims 1-5, wherein the support structure
(2) is configured as a casing (9) that defines a housing (10) designed to keep the
harness therein (4).
7. Device for helping to run, according to claim 6, wherein the casing (9) is configured
such that an exit of the housing (10) is located on the upper part and just beneath
the anchoring (5) that attaches the harness (4) to the structure (2), in order to
keep the harness (4) in said housing (10) when not in use, without the need to disassemble
said anchoring (5).
