Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to the method of labelling food wrap rolls, for example
aluminium film rolls. The present invention also relates to the perforation device
of the food wrap roll labelling machine and the food wrap roll label produced according
to the invention and using the device according to the invention.
Background Art
[0002] Methods of perforation of material sheets are known, which consist in feeding such
sheets between perforating rollers featuring needles on the entire roller circumference.
[0003] A solution disclosed in Chinese application
CN201932394 (U) is known, wherein a "multi-layer staggered punching device" is used for the perforation
of multi-layer sheets of paper. The device comprises pairs of needle rollers and supporting
rubber rollers arranged vertically, one above the other, which allows simultaneous
perforation of several layers of paper sheets. The needle rollers comprise needles
on the entire roller surface.
[0004] Perforation knives are also known, which have the form of rings with perforating
pins, used to perforate film or paper sheets or ribbons. The knives are positioned
between subsequent guide rollers.
Summary of invention
[0005] The essence of the invention is the method of labelling the food wrap roll, which
consists in machine-made wrapping of the product in the form of a rolled up food wrap
roll in a transparent or pre-printed film label, wherein the label in the form of
a ribbon is unwound from the unwinding roller and fed to the perforating roller featuring
at least one bushing tube with needles. The perforating roller punctures perforation
holes along the label ribbon. Next, the label ribbon is fed through a set of guide
rollers, wound on the rolled up food wrap roll and cut off crosswise.
[0006] The heat-shrinkable film wound on the food wrap roll, once cut off, is preferably
shrunk on the sides by supplying hot air from heat sealers.
[0007] The label ribbon is preferably punctured along a single row, making holes the diameter
of which is 1 mm.
[0008] The perforation holes are preferably made in the centre of the label ribbon.
[0009] The essence of the invention is also the perforation device of the labelling machine
comprising rollers with bearings, mounted pivotally on an axle, and at least one bushing
tube, which is coaxially mounted in between, with needles attached on the outer circumference
and projecting out the circumference of the rollers. The axle, which is detachable,
is mounted on holders attached to the frame of the labelling machine.
[0010] A metal ring shall preferably be placed inside the bushing tube, fitted tightly beneath
the inner tips of the needles, and the sides of the bushing tube are fitted tightly
inside the rollers. The bearings through which the axle passes, together with the
casing, enclose the sides of the perforating roller.
[0011] The essence of the invention is also the label wound on the food wrap roll, which
comprises at least one row of perforation holes.
[0012] The row of perforation holes shall preferably be located in the centre of the label.
[0013] The row of perforation holes shall preferably be located on the side of the label.
[0014] The label is preferably made of heat-shrinkable film, whereas its edges are shrunk
by heat around the sides of the food wrap roll.
[0015] An advantage of the method according to the invention is that perforation of the
label can be performed on an existing labelling process line by addition of one stage,
using simple measures, i.e. addition or replacement of the existing tensioning roller
with a roller comprising a bushing tube with a row of needles. Another advantage of
the invention is that the device according to the invention in the form of the perforating
roller features a simple design, and it can be incorporated in existing labelling
machines. In addition, the device is easy to operate.
[0016] An advantage of the label according to the invention is that it can be easily and
quickly removed from the food wrap roll by tearing it off along the perforation line.
Technical Problem
[0017] The object of the invention is to obtain a label wrapping the aluminium film roll,
which allows its quick and easy removal, and to devise a method for longitudinal perforation
of the pre-printed label ribbon used for wrapping film wrap rolls using existing labelling
devices without the perforation function. The object of the invention is also to design
a device for longitudinal perforation of the label ribbon, the device which can be
installed on known and already existing process lines.

Description of embodiments
[0019] Embodiment 1. Labelling of the food wrap roll consists in machine-made wrapping of
the product in the form of rolled up food wrap roll in a transparent or pre-printed
film-made label. The pre-printed label in the form of the ribbon
1 is unwound from the unwinding roller
2 and fed to the tensioning and perforating roller
3 located beneath the unwinding roller
2, the roller
3 featuring a bushing tube
11 with needles
12 located in the centre. Along the centre of the continuous band of the label ribbon
1, there is one row of needles
12 of the perforating roller
3, spaced every 1 mm, which punctures perforation holes
15 having a diameter of 1 mm. Next, the label ribbon
1 is fed through a set of guide rollers
4, wound on the rolled up food wrap roll
5 and cut off crosswise using the cutter
6. The food wrap rolls
5, 7, 8 are fed to the perforation machine
17 using a system of transfer rollers
10.
[0020] Embodiment 2. In another embodiment the procedure is as in the first embodiment,
but the heat-shrinkable label
18 is used, which, once cut off, is shrunk on the sides
14 by supplying hot air from heat sealers
9.
[0021] Embodiment 3. In yet another embodiment of the labelling application according to
the invention the procedure is as in the first or second embodiment, but the perforating
roller

edge.
[0022] Embodiment 4. According to the invention, the perforation device of the labelling
machine
17 features two rollers
16 in the form of hollow cylinders, mounted pivotally on the axle
13 using two bearings
22 located at the outer ends. The bearings
22 are located in the casing
23 which encloses the outer ends of the rollers
16. The axle
13 features spacers
21 which prevent displacement of the perforating roller

23 with holes, having a 1 mm cross section and drilled every 1 mm, featuring 40 needles
12, having a diameter of 1 mm and a length of 10 mm, mounted permanently using adhesive.
The needles
12 project out the outer circumference of the flange
23. Inside the bushing tube
11 and below the flange
24, there is a ring
20, the width of which is equal to the width of the flange
24, which locks driving the needles
12 inwards the bushing tube
11. Once connected with the rollers
16, the outer circumference of the flange
23 is faced with the outer circumference of the rollers
16. The needles
