(57) Tank for treating garbage provided with a containing compartment (72) open toward
the outside to allow the introduction of said garbage and to contain a separation
liquid to separate, from said garbage, by floating, parts of organic material from
parts of non-organic material, comprising:
- at least one dividing wall (80) configured to divide said containing compartment
(72) into a first sector (76) and into at least one second sector (78) in which respective
separations occur, by floating, of said parts of non-organic material from said parts
of organic material,
- feed means (15) associated to said first sector (76) for the introduction of said
garbage,
- transfer means (19) configured to transfer said separation liquid and said garbage
from said first sector (76) to said second sector (78).
