(57) An electric component mounting apparatus includes: a component supply unit (8) for advancing a tape (T) storing components to thereby supply a component to a predetermined supply position; a holder (5) for extracting the component from the component supply unit and mounting the component onto a substrate; and a supply detector (251) for detecting whether the component is at the supply position or whether the supplied component is in an abnormal posture.
