The object of the invention is a cover for binding of pages designed for both office use and in bookbinding.

The covers for binding of many loose pages with a clipping element in the form of a clamped channel having shape similar to the letter U or V used alone or placed inside a surrounding it cover are known. The combination of the cover and the channel clamping a bundle of loose pages usually is provided with an adhesive, which is a weak point of the binding, as the binding is here unstable and susceptible to mechanical damages. In order to avoid the inconvenience of the above embodiment, not only a bundle of pages but also both covers were bound inside the channel. The user has had problems to make such binding which were associated with aligning both the bundle of pages and front and back covers with the edges of the channel and additionally it was necessary to ensure that during binding the covers don't protrude upward or sideways in relation to the bundle of pages.

The aim of the invention is to eliminate above disadvantages and to develop a durable cover that is simple in manufacturing and allows to obtain each time an effect guaranteeing high and repetitive aesthetics of the binding.

The cover for binding of pages according to the invention consists of a sheet in the shape of a rectangle with two parallel bends made on its surface at an angle approximate to the right angle, wherein a width of a base connecting side walls of the sheet between bending lines corresponds to the thickness of the bundle of the pages being bound, and the dimensions of the side walls of the sheet are adapted to the dimensions of the pages, and of an U-shaped clamping channel connected permanently to the sheet, the side walls of which are bent at an angle approximate to the right angle, wherein the distance between the side walls of the sheet is slightly smaller than the distance between the side walls of the clamping channel, and the length of the clamping channel is the same or slightly greater than the length of the base of the sheet and is characterized in that the bent sheet comprising the bundle of loose pages is arranged inside the space formed between the side walls of the clamping channel.

The cover is characterized in that one or both side walls of the clamping channel are bent in their upper portion at an angle approximate to the right angle to form the catches along the entire length of the channel having the width substantially less than the height of the side walls. The cover is characterized in that one or both side walls of the sheet are bent over their entire length in a short distance from the edge of the clamping channel.

The final result in the form of a bound documentation is obtained by deforming of the clamping channel.

The cover for binding pages of the present invention may be made in any format compatible with the format of the bound pages. Different spacing of bends between each other allows making of the sheets for binding the bundle of the pages of different thickness. The sheet is formed in a way that ensures full control of the shape of the bound pages. The use of the cover according to the invention ensures reproducible effect of the appearance of the binding. The material for making the cover may have different thickness and surface texture, and the bends on the side walls of the sheet in a short distance from the edge of the clamping channel facilitate opening the bound bundle of the pages.

The object of the invention is shown in the embodiment in the drawings, in which fig. 1 shows an exemplary cover with the channel without catches, fig. 2 shows the cover with the channel having the catch on one side, fig. 3 shows the cover with the channel having the catches on two sides, fig. 4 shows the cover with the channel without catches with a bend of two side walls of the sheet, fig. 5 shows the cover with the channel without catches with the bend of one side wall of the sheet, fig. 6 shows the cover with the channel with the catch on one side with the bend of both side walls of the sheet, fig. 7 shows the cover with the channel with the catch on one side with the bend of one side wall of the sheet, fig. 8 shows the cover with the channel with the catches on two sides with the bend of both side walls of the sheet, fig. 9 shows the cover with the channel with the catches on two sides with the bend of one side wall of the sheet.

The cover for binding of pages shown in the embodiment in fig. 2 consists of a sheet 1 in the shape of a rectangle with two parallel bends 2, 3 made on its surface at an angle approximate to the right angle, wherein a width of a base 4 connecting the side walls 5, 6 of the sheet 1 corresponds to the thickness of the bundle of the pages 10 being bound, and the dimensions of the side walls 5 and 6 of the sheet 1 are adapted to the dimensions of the pages 10, and of the U-shaped clamping channel 7 connected permanently to the sheet 1, the side walls 8, 9 of which are bent at an angle approximate to the right angle, and the side wall 8 of which is bent in an upper part at an angle approximate to the right angle to form the catch over the entire length of the channel 7 having the width substantially smaller than the height of the side walls 8, 9 and the bent sheet 1 comprising the bundle of the loose pages 10 is arranged in the space formed between the side walls 8, 9 of the clamping channel 7.

The cover for binding of pages shown in the embodiment in fig. 3 consists of a sheet 1 in the shape of a rectangle with two parallel bends 2, 3 made on its surface at an angle approximate to the right angle, wherein a width of a base 4 connecting the side walls 5, 6 of the sheet 1 corresponds to the thickness of the bundle of the pages 10 being bound, and the dimensions of the side walls 5 and 6 of the sheet 1 are adapted to the dimensions of the pages 10, and of the U-shaped clamping channel 7 connected permanently to the sheet 1, the side walls 8, 9 of which are bent at an angle approximate to the right angle, and the side walls 8, 9 of which are bent in an upper part at an angle approximate to the right angle to form the catches over the entire length of the channel 7 having the width substantially smaller than the height of the side walls 8, 9 and the bent sheet 1 comprising the bundle of the loose pages 10 is arranged in the space formed between the side walls 8, 9 of the clamping channel 7.

The covers for binding the pages shown in figs. 4, 6, 8 have an analogous structure wherein the two side walls 5, 6 of the sheet 1 are bent over their entire length 12 in a short distance from the edge of the clamping channel 7.

The covers for binding the pages shown in figs. 5, 7, 9 have an analogous structure wherein the side wall 5 of the sheet 1 is bent over its entire length 12 in a short distance from the edge of the clamping channel 7.
