[0001] The present object refers to a stylized cigarette pack cover, developed anatomically
to fit a pack of cigarettes, surrounding the entire back and part of the sides of
the pack, provided with a back wall with a cutout and an internal compartment which
stores an infrared card that emits long infrared signals, which can be replaced when
needed. The long infrared card has substances that allow the decrease of the level
of nicotine and various other elements detrimental to the health of the user, which
are present in the composition of cigarettes. In addition to being able to offer the
user greater possibility of styling his package, since the cover can receive messages
and promotional words and be decorated according to the user's preference, it also
allows the control of the substances that enter the human body, allowing the user
to reduce little by little his smoking habit.
[0002] This object is intended to offer the user a possibility never allowed before, which
is: to smoke the cigarette of his preference, but knowing that the toxic and harmful
substances will be reduced. As the exposure time of the cap with the pack is extended,
the level of nicotine and cigarette substances within the pack decreases and this
change is easily noticeable during cigarette consumption.
[0003] A single cigarette consists of several toxic substances, one of the most famous of
them is nicotine, which is responsible for much of the user's addiction. Everyone
knows how harmful cigarettes are to anyone's health, but people who are addicted have
great difficulty stopping the habit, mainly because of the chemical dependence that
it ends up causing in the human body.
[0004] Long infrared is already known and widely used for other purposes. However, brief
laboratory studies prove their effectiveness in reducing nicotine and other harmful
substances present in cigarettes, because the composition of the long infrared card
directly influences the evaporation of such substances, which are usually added to
the cigarette by the application of water infused with nicotine over the tobacco leaves.
[0005] Therefore, even without direct contact with the cigarette, but being close by means
of a cap that is fixed to the pack, the reduction of the harmful substances can be
made in a gradual manner.
[0006] The size, thickness and composition of the card to be put on the cover may vary according
to the size and the user's need and may be offered at various levels of activity.
Solution:
[0007] Therefore, thinking of solving such inconveniences and offering an unpublished cover
that in addition to stylizing the cigarette pack that accompanies its consumer daily,
also allows the level of nicotine and other substances to be gradually reduced, according
to the time of exposure. The object in question was developed, presenting several
benefits, among them:
- Low cost;
- Developed in a lightweight material;
- It is easy to be transported and used;
- The infrared card emits long infrared signals that gradually reduces the content of
nicotine and various other substances in the cigarette;
- Provides much more hygiene to the user;
- Excellent cost benefit;
- The cover may be stylized/personalized;
- The user will need to buy only one cover, and may exchange its internal contents (infrared
card) whenever he wishes, or according to the manufacturer's instructions;
- It has a high marketing potential;
- It is a product of common need;
- May be developed in various materials;
- May be developed in several formats;
- May be developed in several sizes;
- Allows Industrial execution;
- It is an innovation worthy of this patent privilege.
Prior Art Description
[0008] The prior art comprehends infrared sticks that are designed to be inserted in the
cigarette packs, infrared coated envelopes that are designed to allow the introduction
of some cigarettes inside, and also clothes and mattresses that promise to clean the
nicotine out of the human body. In addition, various methods are studied and developed
to assist in reducing the addiction or the harmful effects of the cigarette.
[0009] Therefore, in order to propose an unprecedented and efficient solution, previous
researches were carried out in the Data Bank of the BPTO, the Brazilian Patent and
Trademark Office, and the following processes were found:
[0010] P0108318-0, filed 15.02.2001, entitled "Method for reducing or eliminating smoking". The invention is an improved
method of reducing or eliminating tobacco use and nicotine addiction associated with
tobacco use by gradually decreasing individual tobacco consumption over a period of
time while substituting nicotine from tobacco with an alternative source of nicotine.
[0011] MU6600155-2, filed January 29, 1986, under the title "Tar and Satin Retention Mouthpiece." Due to the fact that it is
produced in a transparent, one-piece material of anatomical size, it eliminates the
use of component elements and filtering accessories common in mouthpieces, in order
to retain tar and nicotine by suspending the same, but maintaining the initial smoothing
taste of the cigarettes, besides it is an educational tool for smokers and nonsmokers,
hence it reveals through its transparency, all the accumulated tar and nicotine retained
inside.
[0012] PO112837-0, filed Aug. 2, 2001 under the title "Method of reducing or eliminating smoking". This invention is an
improved method for reducing or eliminating tobacco use and the nicotine addiction
associated with the use of tobacco by gradually decreasing a subject's smoking for
a period of time while replaces tobacco nicotine with an alternative source of nicotine
in the form of a transdermal patch.
[0013] MU8101449-0, filed on 06.27.2001 under the title "Disposable cigarette holder with nicotine and tar filter". The present
utility patent relates to a disposable cigarette holder with cigarette filter for
nicotine and tar, characterized in that it is constituted by a single piece with a
tubular shape made of plastic or other suitable materials, which comprises an adhesion
camera and a filter, wherein the adhesion chamber is formed from a single or segmented
recess located on the inner walls, which delimits the depth and forms of the chamber,
has a predetermined width, from which is located a second recess of diameter and depth
suitable for the purposes intended and whose function is to allow the accommodation
of the filter made of Macrolon, which is a very high polymerization fiber, with dimensions,
diameter and depth carefully calculated according to the physico-chemical characteristics
of this material, which allows to reduce in at least twenty-five percent the contents
or amount of nicotine and tar produced by a cigarette access when inhaled.
[0014] MU8401024-0, filed in 2004 under the title of "Protective cover for cigarette wallets". A rectangular prism
open at the top and optionally at the base, its front and rear walls being of a certain
width and height, and its side walls of smaller width wherein, optionally, the rear
wall can be of a higher height than the front wall, in which case the upper edge of
the side walls are inclined, and the base of the part may or may not be closed by
a supplementary wall.
[0015] MU7700295-4, filed on 26.03.1997 under the title "Cigarette holder with harmful element reducer". Composed of a plastic
body with a large cylindrical recess for a cigarette-tip fitting or the thin cigarette-tip
adapter, said recess having a bottom recess and from which there projects an axial
bore, communicating with cut-out, through which the cigarette smoke enters and strikes
a velocity reducing screen, said recess forming externally a cradle, where the nozzle
is fitted, in which smoke walls collide and cools down, with the smoke velocity reduced
by the walls and integral with a long axial rod, which cause whirls and retains the
nicotine and tar, the smoke, clean of these elements, enters a small hole in said
rod since the passageway is closed by a shield integral with the end of said rod,
into the mouth, the development of which aims to allow a drastic reduction of the
elements harmful in the smoke of the cigarette, reducing the resulting damages.
[0016] According to the abovementioned abstracts, the mentioned processes do not have similarity
to the object of the present patent, and that's why we understand that there are no
technical or legal impediments to the obtaining the requested Privilege.
