OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention, as stated in the title of this specification, refers to a panel for
advertising and for selective collection of waste that provides the function to which
it is designed with advantages and characteristics of novelty that will be described
in detail thereafter.
[0002] The object of this invention refers concretely to an advertising panel designed to
the selective collection of small waste wherein this panel being of the type placed
in urban areas as a support for outside advertising, is constituted by an approximately
parallelepipedical body, internally hollow, provided with two vertical panels on their
respective front and rear faces, to affix advertising bills which are separated by
an internal central gap, which is configured as a container incorporating a series
of independent tubular and removable compartments provided with related open inlets
at the top of the panel, for the insertion of different types of waste.
FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The field of application of this invention is within the sector of the industry engaged
in the production of advertising supports encompassing at the same time the scope
of the production of containers for the selective collection of waste.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0004] As it is known, recycling waste, namely urban waste is necessary in order to reduce
the environmental impact generated, therefore installing containers for the selective
collection of different types of waste, such as for example, plastics, glass, paper,
etc. is every time more widely extended However, this type of container, which contribution
to the environment is undeniable, as the type of waste to which it is designed is
the most used and uses to be bulky, they are large-sized elements that, therefore,
require the use of an additional space of the street, therefore the public area designed
to other purposes is reduced.
[0005] On the other hand, there exists other many type of waste that are generated in the
domestic sphere and that can be recycled and/or that must be taken apart from the
rest of the waste due to the high level of pollution they provoke, such as for example
electric bulbs, cells, compact disks, cd-dvd or small electronic devices and, therefore
it results necessary to carry out a selective collection thereof in the public area.
[0006] The objective of this invention is, thus, to develop an advertising panel that, in
addition to act as a support to advertising, serves at the same time as a urban container
for the selective collection of the above mentioned small-sized waste as above mentioned
that, and it can be said, that at least the applicant is not aware, of the existence
of any other advertising panel or invention having a similar application showing technical
and structural characteristics same or similar to those offered by the one herein
claimed.
EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
[0007] The panel for advertising and selective collection of waste that the invention proposes
is therefore configured as a novelty within its field of application, because with
its implementation the above mentioned objectives are satisfactorily reached, characterizing
details making it possible are conveniently included in the final claims attached
to this description.
[0008] Concretely, what the invention proposes, as it was stated above, is an advertising
panel designed to be installed in the public space of urban areas that is configured
from a parallelepipedical body, internally hollow, provided with, at least, two vertical
panels on its respective front and rear faces, adapted to affix advertising bills
which are separated by an internal central gap, which creates a container housing
where are incorporated a series of independent tubular and removable compartments,
adapted to contain a given amount of small waste and provided, each one, with their
related inlets, to introduce the said waste within them, which is defined by the existence
on the top of the container, preferably on the front face close to its top end, of
specific inlets or grooves provided with that purpose.
[0009] The said grooves have a concrete perimetral configuration depending on the type de
waste to which each of the said tubular compartments is designed, so that, for example,
the groove designed to the collection of button cells has a given diameter shape,
the groove to conventional cells is rectangular-shaped with proper dimensions, the
groove of the compartment designed to compact disks possesses a long and narrow configuration
having given dimensions and the groove for electrical bulbs has a shape similar to
a bulb. With this, two advantages are achieved, on the one hand it makes the identification
of the compartment where to introduce each type of waste easier for the user and on
the other hand, it prevents that he does it in the wrong compartment, so that the
selective collection results much more effective.
[0010] Still concerning the characteristics of the panel of the invention, it is important
to point out that, preferably, the said tubular compartments have, on their top, a
cranked configuration, so that the inlet or funnel thereof is arranged on the vertical
plane and is directly coupled to the plate on the top of the panel where the groove
to introduce the waste is located that, as it has been said, preferably, is arranged
close to the top end of the front face of the panel, because in this vertical position
the rain water and dust or other foreign elements entering by gravity is prevented
and preventing with such cranked and direct coupling any possibility that the waste
introduced does not fall within the related compartment.
[0011] Likewise, according to another characteristic of the invention, the interior of all
or some compartments are provided with sliding and/or weakening means for the fall
of the waste, designed, the first ones to help for a correct conduction of the waste
from the funnel to its interior preventing eventual clogging and the second designed
to prevent, when the compartment is still very empty, that the waste directly fall
to the bottom and are broken into very small fragments, which, for example in the
case of electric bulbs, is not desirable when carrying out the optimum sorting of
the waste.
[0012] Last, according to another of the characteristics of the invention, the parallelepipedical
body conforming the panel and that constitutes the container that incorporates the
tubular compartments, is incorporated on a plate anchoring to the bed, preferably
constituted by a supporting structure made of steel, that lifts the said body to a
given height above the level of the floor, preventing that at its bottom liquids accumulate
and when staying stagnant, produce oxidation or other corrosive effects on it, namely
dog's urine, because as they are designed to be installed in the public space that
means an unavoidable element to be envisaged.
[0013] The disclosed panel for advertising and selective collection of waste consists, therefore,
in an innovating structure having characteristics unknown up to now for the purpose
to which it is designed, reasons that jointly with its practical utility provide it
with a ground sufficient to obtain the privilege of the exclusivity that is applied
for.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0014] To complement the description that is being carried out and in order to assist to
a best understanding of the characteristics of the invention, attached to this specification
and as an integral part thereof, there is a sheet of drawings in which for illustration
and not limitation purpose the following has been represented:
The figure number 1.- Shows a schematic view in front elevation of an example of embodiment
of the panel for advertising and selective collection of waste, object of the invention,
its external general configuration can be seen and some of its internal elements represented
by dotted lines; and
the figure number 2.- Shows a sectional view, according to the section A-A mentioned

to contain waste, the funnel (5a) of each of the said tubular compartments (5), being
located at its top end, associated to a groove or inlet (6) having a specific perimetral
configuration the shape of which defines and limits the insertion of only one given
type of waste.
[0017] Preferably, the said grooves (6) of specific insertion of each tubular compartment
(5) are located aligned on the top of the front face of the body (2) of the panel
(1), and the funnel (5a) of all of them is arranged oriented on the vertical plane,
thanks to the existence of an elbow (5b) provided on the top end of the tubular compartments
(5), being directly coupled, by the internal part of the container (4), to the platen
(6a) in which each inlet or groove (6) has been cut.
[0018] In addition, also in a preferred manner, a sliding plate (7) has been provided located
downstream each inlet or groove (6) that extends beyond the funnel (5a) of the related
compartment (5), constituting a downward slope acting as a guiding and sliding means
to achieve the correct insertion of the waste and prevent clogging in the said funnel
(5a).
[0019] In addition, also in a preferred manner, along the interior of the tubular compartment
(5), in one, several or all of them, the existence of one, two or more braking wings
(8) has been provided that, distributed in opposite points with symmetrically facing
slopes, act weakening the fall of the waste to the bottom of the tubular compartment
(5), preventing their breakage, namely when the panel is empty or almost empty.
[0020] Last, the parallelepipedical body (2) conforming the panel (1), preferably, is located
on the anchoring plate (9) to the bed in the preferred embodiment keeping it lifted
to a given height above the level of the floor (s), being constituted, also in a preferred
but not limiting manner, by a supporting structure made of hot galvanized steel.
