Technical Field
[0001] The present invention is related to a kemancha (Kemençe in Turkish) formed pendulum
wall clock that is hanged on a surface such as wall, column and etc., and tells the
time.
State of Art
[0002] The wall clocks used in the state of art are used as time indicators. Said clocks
that do not have any aesthetic and visual concerns, are not designed in the form of
real musical instrument. On the other hand, some of said wall clocks have elements
performing simple harmonic motion such as metronome and showing second tics. However,
the elements performing said movements have quite ordinary structures. The abovementioned
swinging elements mounted to the main body cannot be removed from the body and attached
to the body again without losing their functions. This prevents the user from removing
said element whenever s/he wants.
[0003] The pendulum clocks used in the state of art have become functional as a result of
swinging the pendulum through the hole on the body or the bottom of the clock, generally.
There are not any embodiments wherein the pendulum is positioned in front of the clock
body without damaging the structure of the wall clock. Thus, a disadvantage occurs
in terms of visual quality and functionality.
[0004] As a result, an improvement is needed in the related technical field due to the abovementioned
disadvantages and the inadequacies of the present solutions for the problems.
The Object of the Invention
[0005] Designed with the inspiration of the present conditions, the present invention aims
to eliminate the abovementioned disadvantages.
[0006] The main object of the present invention is to provide a demountable wall clock in
the form of kemancha and kemancha string.
[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide a wall clock with pendulum,
which performs simple harmonic motion.
[0008] Another object of the present invention is to reflect the time indicator in the form
of musical instrument as an artistic and visual expression.
[0009] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a connecting member that
embodies the elements in the form of kemancha and kemancha string.
[0010] In order to achieve the abovementioned objects, the present invention is a kemancha
wall clock. The kemancha wall clock includes the following elements:
- a clock body,
- a clock connected onto the clock body and telling the time,
- a pendulum connected to a driving centre positioned at the back surface of the clock
body and performing simple harmonic motion by means of driving centre at the horizontal
plane,
- a swinging member positioned at the front surface of the clock body and driven by
means of pendulum, to which it is connected,
- a connecting member providing said connection between said pendulum and swinging member.
[0011] The structural and characteristic features and all the advantages of the present
invention will be more clearly understood thanks to the figures given below and the
detailed description written with reference to those figures and thus, the evaluation
needs to be done by taking said figures and the detailed description into consideration.

Detailed Description of the Invention
[0015] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the present invention
are described only in order for the subject to be understood better without any limiting
effect. Primarily, the positions and details of the elements in the preferred embodiment
and then, the functions and roles thereof in the operation will be described in order
for the kemancha wall clock (K) to be understood easily.
[0016] The clock body (1) is the bearing body in the form of kemancha body, which forms
the connecting surface to which the other elements are fixed and/or connected, and
is preferably made of thermoplastic material. The clock body (1) is preferably fixed
to/hanged onto a surface such as wall, column and etc. with a nail by means of hanging
apparatus (8). The clock (2) is connected to the back surface of the clock body (1)
and the time telling sections thereof (hour hand, minute hand, time indicators) are
positioned/formed so as to be at the front surface of the clock body (1). The pendulum
(3) is connected to the driving centre (4) that is provided on the clock body (1),
preferably at the top of the clock (2) and thus, is provided with movement ability
in order to perform simple harmonic motion at the horizontal plane. The pendulum (3)
is provided with connection housing-1 (5.1.1) thereon, onto which movement transfer
member (5.1) will be positioned. Interconnection member (5.2) is connected between
the connection housing-1 (5.1.1) formed on the movement transfer member (5.1) and
connection housing-2 (6.1) formed on the swinging member (6). The swinging member
(6) is preferably designed in the form of kemancha string and is driven by means of
driving centre (4), pendulum (3) and connecting members (5) (movement transfer member
(5.1) and interconnection member (5.2)) and gives the impression of playing kemancha
to the person looking at the kemancha wall clock (K) at the front side thereof. Hanging
apparatus (7) is preferably positioned on the clock body (1). (Figure 1)
[0017] As understood from the description, the clock body (1) is the element, which all
the other elements are directly or indirectly connected to/carried on. The function
of the clock (2) is to tell the time. The function of the driving centre (4) is to
drive the pendulum (3) and enable thereof to perform simple harmonic motion at the
horizontal plane. Moreover, the pendulum (3) transfers said movement transferred to
itself, to the connecting member (5). Movement transfer member (5.1) is connected
onto the pendulum (3) and transfers said simple harmonic motion of pendulum (3) to
the interconnection member (5.2). Pendulum housing (3.1) enables one end of the movement
transfer member (5.1) to be inserted/positioned into the pendulum (3). As the interconnection
member (5.2) is positioned between movement transfer member (5.1) and swinging member
(6), it transfers the movement of movement transfer member (5.1) to the swinging member
(6). Connection housing-1 (5.1.1) enables one end of the movement transfer member
(5.2) to be inserted/placed into the pendulum (5.1). Interconnection member (5.2)
is inserted/placed onto the swinging member (6) by means of connection housing-2 (6.1).
As a result of said inserting/placing among the elements, said elements can easily
be detached from each other, stored in different positions or cleaned. Hanging apparatus
(7) enables the clock body (1) to be hanged by means of preferably putting on the
nail on the wall/column. Thanks to the fact that the connections among pendulum (3),
movement transfer member (5.1), interconnection member (5.2) and swinging member (6)
are in the form of inserting/placing, said elements can easily be detached from/mounted
to the kemancha wall clock (K).
