OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The object of the present invention refers to a cardholder for labelling containers
designed for storing, transporting, distributing and delivering all types of products
or parts.
[0002] It is of particular use in the warehousing industry.
TECHNICAL PROBLEM TO ADDRESS AND BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] In the current state of the art, there are numerous known cardholders for identifying
the contents of boxes or containers; however, due to the bustle and how often said
containers are used, these cardholders end up deteriorating or coming off irreversibly,
so that they either need to be fixed again by means of rivets on the free area of
the container, or the container is discarded and replaced for a new one.
[0004] Generally, it has been shown that using rivets in cardholders is very inconvenient
since the heads of said rivets can interact negatively with the contents of the container.
[0005] In addition, another inconvenient of using rivets is that as the cardholders deteriorate
and need to be replaced for new ones, the superposition of some rivets over others
ends up gravely damaging the appearance of the container.
[0006] Therefore, the present invention solves the aforementioned problems of the state
of the art, providing a new cardholder that is characterised in that it comprises
means for coupling to and decoupling from the walls of a container. Said means consists
of female projections, that fit into lugs of the container and are secured by means
of screws.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0007] The present invention refers to a cardholder for containers, with a rectangular perimeter,
comprising an upper longitudinal edge, a lower longitudinal edge, and lateral edges,
all of which surround and protect a frame.
[0008] The upper longitudinal edge comprises a trapezoidal opening having a slope that increases
from bottom to top for inserting a label, and the lateral edges comprise female projections
that couple by means of pressure fitting to lugs included in the walls of the container.
The opening comprises an anti-return stop for holding the label in place.
[0009] The cardholder is preferably manufactured using plastic materials, and it is fixed
to the lugs of the container by means of screws.
[0010] The frame, which is preferably rectangular and it is divided in three sections, comprises
a transparent sheet. A rear side of the frame comprises protrusions that press the
label against the wall of the container.
[0011] According to a first embodiment, the lower longitudinal edge of the cardholder comprises
tabs that are inserted in complementary openings of a lower edge included in the walls
of the container, with said tabs stopping the label from coming off.
[0012] According to a second embodiment, the lower longitudinal edge of the cardholder,
which in this case does not comprise tabs, rests on a lower edge included in the walls
of the container, with said lower edge stopping the label from coming off.
[0013] According to a third embodiment, the lower longitudinal edge comprises a longitudinal
rubber reinforcement that acts as a stop preventing the label from coming off, in
this way allowing the cardholder to be placed at the desired height on the wall of
the container.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0016] The object of the present invention describes a new design of a cardholder (1) that
is very easy and simple to couple to and decouple from the walls of a container.
[0017] The cardholder (1) for containers that is the invention is made of plastic, it has
a rectangular perimeter and comprises an upper longitudinal edge (3), a lower longitudinal
edge (4), and lateral edges (5), all of which surround and protect a frame (2), which
comprises a transparent sheet (11) displaying the label inserted therein.
[0018] The upper longitudinal edge (3) comprises a trapezoidal opening (7) having a slope
that increases from bottom to top that facilitates inserting the label, and the lateral
edges (5) comprise female projections (6) that couple by means of pressure to lugs
(12) included in the walls of the container (13).
[0019] In addition, the opening (7) comprises an anti-return stop element (9) for holding
the label in place in case the container on which the cardholder (1) is mounted on
is toppled. By simply resting the fingers on the stop element (9), said element opens
and closes in a retractable way.
[0020] According to a first embodiment, figure 5 shows how the lower longitudinal edge (4)
of the cardholder (1) comprises tabs (16) that are inserted in complementary openings
of a lower edge (17) included in the walls of the container (13), with said tabs (16)
stopping the label from coming off.
[0021] According to a second embodiment, the lower longitudinal edge (4) of the cardholder
(1), which in this case does not comprise tabs (16), rests on the lower edge (17)
of the walls of the container (13), with said lower edge (17) acting as a stop to
prevent the label from coming off.
[0022] According to a third embodiment, the lower longitudinal edge (4) of the cardholder
(1) comprises a longitudinal rubber reinforcement that acts as a stop for preventing
the label from coming off, allowing the cardholder (1) to be placed at the desired
height on the wall of the container (13).
[0023] According to a preferred embodiment, as shown in the figures, the frame (2) is rectangular
and it is divided in three sections. However, the inner design of the frame (2) can
have any other shape or design, such as a single section, two sections, a circular
shape, a polygonal shape, etc.
[0024] As shown in the figures, the cardholder (1) is coupled by pressing it against one
of the walls of the container (13). In order to do so, the lateral edges (5) comprise
female projections (6) that are coupled by pressure fitting to lugs (12) comprised
in the walls of the container (13). Once the female projections (6) of the cardholder
(1) have been fitted in said lugs (12), the cardholder (1) is fixed to said lugs (12)
by means of screws (14). In this way, the cardholder (1) is perfectly secured, without
being able to move, exerting a noticeable pressure on the wall of the container (13).
[0025] Since these means for fixing the cardholder (1) avoid the use of rivets, this guarantees
that the products inside the container are not damaged by the heads of these rivets,
which protrude from the inner walls of the container.
[0026] If the cardholder deteriorates with use (1), it is only necessary to remove the screws
(14) from the lugs (12), decouple the female projections (6) from said lugs (12),
and replace the cardholder (1) for a new one.
[0027] The front face of the frame (2) is flat while the rear face (15) comprises protrusions
(10) that make it possible to hold the label more firmly, wedging it between the wall
of the container (13) and the frame (2).
