FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to an LED lamp, and in particular to a decorative LED
string light.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] In the structure of an existing LED Christmas string light, wires are fastened into
a lamp holder after wire stripping and terminal crimping. An LED is fixed (also called
solidified) in a plastic molded lamp housing by glue and then inserted into a soft
core. Finally, the soft core with the LED bulbs is mounted onto each lampholder according
to the correct polarities by a "flower arranging" process. The string light with such
a structure is complex in process. Moreover, adverse problems such as terminal glue
packaging, incomplete solidification, poor pin bending and reverse installation of
polarity may occur easily. Hence, the string light with such a structure has a low
efficiency in automation, high repairing rate and high cost, in the process of production.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0003] In order to overcome the defects of the prior art, the present invention provides
a novel decorative LED string light which has advantages as, but not limited to: easy
to mount, high structural stability, high automated productivity, and low in cost.
[0004] The technical solution which is adopted to solve the technical problems by the present
invention is as follows:
The present invention discloses a decorative LED string light comprising: at least
one lampholder, the bottom of each lampholder is provided with a wire hole running
through the top of each lampholder, wherein the upper end of the inner wall of the
wire hole is provided with one or more annular bosses; at least one lampshade, the
lower part of each lampshade is provided with a tubular connecting base, wherein the
outer wall of the tubular connecting base is provided with an annular groove which
is fitted tightly with the annular bosses; at least one LED bulb, conducting wires
are soldered on bulb pins of two poles at the end portion of each LED bulb, the LED
bulb passes through the wire hole, and are installed in an internal cavity of the
tubular connecting base after extending out of the top of each lampholder.
[0005] As an improvement of the above-mentioned technical solution, the lower end of the
inner wall of the wire hole is provided with a fastening platform, an insulation limit
pillar is placed between the bulb pins of the two poles of each LED bulb, and the
bottom of the insulation limit pillar is mounted on the fastening platform.
[0006] Further, the insulation limit pillar is sized to have a smaller upper portion and
a bigger lower portion, and both sides of the insulation limit pillar are provided
with wire-fastening grooves.
[0007] As an improvement of the above-mentioned technical solution, an insulation rod is
placed between the bulb pins of the two poles of each LED bulb, the insulation rod
is wrapped with an insulation heat-shrinkable sleeve, and a rear plug is further installed
at the bottom of the wire hole.
[0008] Further, the rear plug is located between the conducting wires, and both sides of
the rear plug are provided with tooth sockets.
[0009] Further, the top of the rear plug is provided with a protrusion.
[0010] Further, the lampshades are made into shapes including a Christmas bubble, a bullet
head, a strawberry and an ice cream.
[0011] Further, an upper end of the outer wall of each lampholder is provided with a hanging
hook.
[0012] Further, an upper end of the outer wall of each lampholder is provided with at least
one wire hook.
[0013] The advantages of the present invention are as follows: the connection between each
LED bulb and the wires in the present invention is of a soldered structure, as the
current automatic soldering technology is constantly developing and becoming mature,
and as the reliability of the electrical connection of the soldered structure and
production efficiency are increasing greatly, the string light product can be made
quickly and reliably. Furthermore, for the string lights with such a structure, polarities
are required to be distinguished only when a LED bulb is soldered, thus it is better
than conventional terminals. Meanwhile, each lampholder and lampshade are connected
by matching the annular boss with the annular groove , so that the lampshades are
simpler to use, without a necessary of solidifying with glue, therefore there is no
potential problems caused by the complex production process due to the glue solidification.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
[0015] Each of Fig.1-6, 8-10 shows a unit of a decorative LED string light according to
the present invention.
[0016] Referring to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the present invention discloses a decorative LED
string light comprising at least one lampshade 1, at least one lampholder 2, and at
least one LED bulb 5. Each lampholder 2 is provided with a wire hole 3, the inner
wall of the upper end of the wire hole 3 is provided with one or more annular bosses
7. The lower part of each lampshade 1 is provided with a tubular connecting base 8,
and the outer wall of the tubular connecting base 8 is provided with an annular groove
9 which is fitted tightly with the annular boss 7. Conducting wires 4 are soldered
on the bulb pins of the two poles at the end portion of each LED bulb 5. The LED bulb
5 passes through the wire hole 3, and are installed in the internal cavity of the
tubular connecting base 8 after extending out of the top of each lampholder 2. The
connection between each LED bulb 5 and the conducting wires 4 in the present invention
is of a soldered structure, as the current automatic soldering technology is constantly
developing and becoming mature, the reliability of the electrical connection of the
soldered structure and production efficiency are increased greatly, so that a product
can be made quickly and reliably. Furthermore, for the string lights with such a structure,
polarities are required to be distinguished only when a LED bulb 5 is soldered, thus
it is better than conventional terminals. Meanwhile, each lampholder 2 and lampshade
1 are connected by matching the annular boss 7 with the annular groove 9, so that
the lampshades 1 are simpler to use, without a necessary of solidifying with glue,
therefore there is no potential problems caused by the complex production process
due to the glue solidification.
[0017] Referring to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, in a first embodiment of the present invention, the
hole wall of the lower end of the wire hole 3 is provided with a fastening platform
10, an insulation limit pillar 6 is also placed between the bulb pins of the two poles
of each LED bulb 5, and the bottom of the insulation limit pillar 6 is mounted on
the fastening platform 10. The insulation limit pillar 6 can not only isolate the
bulb pins of the two poles of each LED bulb 5 to prevent short circuit, but also can
conveniently accurately position the LED bulb 5. Moreover, by matching the bottom
of the insulation limit pillar 6 with the fastening platform 10, the conducting wires
4 in the wire hole 3 can be installed tightly to each lampholder 2 in accordance with
the requirement of safety with respect to fixed tension force, and preventing solder
joints from being stressed or pulled.
[0018] In order to facilitate the installation of the insulation limit pillar 6, the insulation
limit pillar 6 is sized to be smaller in an upper portion and bigger in a lower portion
thereof, and both sides of the insulation limit pillar 6 are further provided with
wire-fastening grooves for placing and fixing the conducting wires 4.
[0019] Referring to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, in another embodiment of the present invention, an
insulation rod 11 is placed between the bulb pins of the two poles of each LED bulb
5, which are wrapped by an insulation heat-shrinkable sleeve 12. A rear plug 13 is
installed on the bottom of the wire hole 3. The above-mentioned structure also adopts
the insulation heat-shrinkable sleeve 12 to wrap the whole electrical parts, while
utilizing the insulation rod 11 to isolate the bulb pins of the two poles of each
LED bulb 5 to prevent short circuit, so that the product has higher safety performance
while being produced at high efficiency. Moreover, the conducting wires 4 are fixed
by way of installing the rear plug 13 at the bottom of each lampholder 2, so that
the structure of the whole product is tighter, safer and more reliable.
[0020] The rear plug 13 is located between two conducting wires 4, and both sides of the
rear plug 13 are provided with tooth sockets. The above-mentioned structure can effectively
prevent the wires from sliding.
[0021] In order to conveniently install the rear plug 13 between the two conducting wires
4, the top of the rear plug 13 is provided with a protrusion.
[0022] Preferably, there may be four optional styles for the lampshades 1, including a Christmas
bubble, a bullet head, a strawberry and an ice cream. Of course, also there are other
styles such as a sphere, etc., according to actual circumstance.
[0023] Referring to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, there is a fastening rack a for mounting the string
light, the fastening rack a is provided with fastening holes a1, and in order to conveniently
mount the string light product on the fastening rack a, the upper end of the outer
wall of each lampholder 2 is provided with a hanging hook 14 matching with the fastening
hole a1.
[0024] Referring to Fig. 8, Fig. 9 and Fig. 10, in order to conveniently produce the product
into an ice bar-shaped or net-shaped string light, the upper end of the outer wall
of each lampholder 2 is provided with at least one wire hook 15 for fixing wires;
and the product can be mounted on a wire b of the ice bar-shaped or net-shaped string
light by means of the wire hook 15.
[0025] The above are merely the preferred embodiments of the present invention, but the
present invention is not limited thereto. Others which can achieve the technical effect
of the present invention with any same or similar means shall fall within the protection
scope of the present invention.
1. A decorative LED string light, comprising:
at least one lampholder (2), the bottom of each lampholder (2) is provided with a
wire hole (3) running through the top of each lampholder (2), wherein
the upper end of the inner wall of the wire hole (3) is provided with one or more
annular bosses (7),
at least one lampshade (1), the lower part of each lampshade (1) is provided with
a tubular connecting base (8), wherein
the outer wall of the tubular connecting base (8) is provided with an annular groove
(9) which is fitted tightly with the annular bosses (7),
at least one LED bulb (5), conducting wires (4) are soldered on bulb pins of two poles
at the end portion of each LED bulb (5), each LED bulb (5) passes through the wire
hole (3), and installed in an internal cavity of the tubular connecting base (8) after
extending out of the top of each lampholder (2).
2. The decorative LED string light according to claim 1, wherein the lower end of the
inner wall of the wire hole (3) is provided with a fastening platform (10), an insulation
limit pillar (6) is placed between the bulb pins of the two poles of each LED bulb
(5), and the bottom of the insulation limit pillar (6) is mounted on the fastening
platform (10).
3. The decorative LED string light according to claim 2, wherein the insulation limit
pillar (6) is sized to have a smaller upper portion and a bigger lower portion, and
both sides of the insulation limit pillar (6) are provided with wire-fastening grooves.
4. The decorative LED string light according to any of the preceding claims, wherein
an insulation rod (11) is placed between the bulb pins of the two poles of each LED
bulb (5), the insulation rod (11) is wrapped with an insulation heat-shrinkable sleeve
(12), and a rear plug (13) is further installed at the bottom of the wire hole (3).
5. The decorative LED string light according to claim 4, wherein the rear plug (13) is
located between the conducting wires (4), and both sides of the rear plug (13) are
provided with tooth sockets.
6. The decorative LED string light according to claims 4 or 5, wherein the top of the
rear plug (13) is provided with a protrusion.
7. The decorative LED string light according to any of the preceding claims, wherein
the lampshades (1) are made into shapes including a Christmas bubble, a bullet head,
a strawberry and an ice cream.
8. The decorative LED string light according to any of the preceding claims, wherein
an upper end of the outer wall of each lampholder (2) is provided with a hanging hook
(14).
9. The decorative LED string light according to any of the preceding claims, wherein
an upper end of the outer wall of each lampholder (2) is provided with at least one
wire hook (15).
