[0001] The present invention relates to an apparatus for forming the head of bags for foods,
preferably for alimentary pasta, granular products and the like, preferably plastic
bags.
[0002] Apparatuses for forming the head of bags are known in the prior art and usually belong
to larger apparatuses for packaging bags, i.e. of pasta, granular products and the
like.
[0003] Said apparatuses comprise means able to form the head of the bag and means able to
deflate the air kept inside the head of the bag. Generally, said means are moved by
a moving system of the rack and pinion or belt and pulley type; the known apparatuses
comprise a single motor to move all the means for forming the head of the bag.
[0004] This determines a more complex forming operation of the heat associated with a low
bag packaging.
[0005] WO-A-2004/106167 describes an apparatus for forming the head of a bag for alimentary pasta, comprising
belt transmission means.
[0006] It is the object of the present invention to provide an apparatus for forming the
head of a bag for alimentary pasta which is much simpler than those known and which
allows greater bag production.
[0007] In accordance with the present invention, said object is achieved by an apparatus
as defined in claim 1.
[0008] Advantageously, the connecting rod transmissions allow a quick and accurate response
to the motor control.
[0009] The features and the advantages of the present invention will be apparent from the
following detailed description of a practical embodiment thereof, illustrated by way
of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:

according to the present invention;

[0010] Figures 1-12 show an apparatus for forming the head 1 of bags 2 for foods, preferably
for alimentary pasta, granular products and the like, in particular plastic bags,
according to the present invention. Preferably, the bags 2 were previously subjected
to partial upper welding so that the head 1 of the bags is partially closed.
[0011] The apparatus or assembly comprises a device 10 for forming or conforming the head
1 of the bag 2 and a device 20 for deflating the head 1 of the bag 2.
[0012] The device 10 comprises a pair of spears 11, preferably of triangular shape, actuated
by a single motor 12, e.g. of electric type, for forming the head 1 of the bag 2 in
the working position B.
[0013] The apparatus also comprises a further device 15 able to displace the pair of spears
11 from a resting position A to a first working position B, intermediate between the
resting position A and the working position B. The device 15 also comprises a single
electric motor 16 for displacing the pair of spears 11.
[0014] The device 20 comprises a press with two elements 21 able to close in the working
position B for deflating the head 2 of the bag 1; the two press-like elements 21 are
moved by a single electric motor 22.
[0015] The electric motors 12 and 22 are mutually separated and mutually independent. The
electric motor 16 is separated from the electric motors 12, 22 and is independent
from them.
[0016] The electric motors 12, 16 and 22 are controlled by a control device 100.
[0017] As shown in greater detail in figures 3, 5, 7 and 11, the device 10 comprises two
runners 13 sliding on two guides 14 along axis X; the two spears 11 are anchored to
the two runners 13 in sliding manner along the Y axis, orthogonal to the X axis.
[0018] The two runners 13 are connected to a rotational plate 17 connected to the motor
12 by connecting rods 18 rotationally anchored in points 19 to the runners 13 and
in points 190 to the rotational plate 17. The clockwise or counterclockwise rotation
of the rotational plate 17 determines an approaching or distancing of the runners
13 along the X axis.
[0019] As shown in greater detail in figures 3, 5, 7 and 11, the device 15 comprises two
elements 151 which carry the spears 11; the elements 151 are sliding on a guide 152
along the X axis by runners 153.
[0020] The two elements 151 are anchored to the runners 13 in sliding manner along the Y
axis, orthogonal to the X axis.
[0021] The guide 152 is connected to a rotational plate 154 connected to the motor 16 by
a connecting rod 155 rotationally anchored in point 156 to the guide 152 and anchored
in point 157 to the rotational plate 154. The clockwise or counterclockwise rotation
of the rotational plate 154 respectively determines the displacement of the spears
11 from the resting position A to the working position B and the displacement from
position B to position A again along the Y axis.
[0022] As shown in greater detail in figures 3, 4, 6 and 10, the device 20 comprises two
runners 23 sliding on two guides 24 along the Y axis; the two press-like elements
21 are anchored to the two runners 23.
[0023] The two runners 23 are connected to the rotational plate 25 connected to the motor
22 by connecting rods 26 rotationally anchored in points 28 to the runners 23 and
in points 29 to the rotational plate 25. The clockwise or counterclockwise rotation
of the rotational plate 25 determines an approach or distancing of the runners 23
along the Y axis.
[0024] The apparatus according to the invention comprises a single frame 50 which carries
the motors 12, 16 and 22 and the devices 10, 15 and 20. The stable part of the motors
12, 16 and 22 is integral with the frame 50.
[0025] The apparatus according to the invention operates in the following manner.
[0026] In the step of resting A, the bag 2 is taken by the conveying means 51 to the position
under the device 20 and with the head 1 arranged between the elements 21 and preferably
with the upper flaps 110 of the front and rear walls of the head partially joined,
as shown in figures 2-5.
[0027] Successively, the control device 100 controls the motor 16 of the device 15 so as
to make the rotational plate 154 turn clockwise; this allows the displacement of the
guide 152 along the Y axis and also the displacement of the spears 11, carried by
the elements 151, again along the Y axis to the working position B, as shown in figures
6-8.
[0028] Successively, the control device 100 controls at the same time the motor 12 of the
device 1 to make the rotational plate 17 turn clockwise and the motor 22 of the device
20 to make the rotational plate 25 turn anticlockwise.
[0029] The clockwise rotation of the rotational plate 17 allows the approaching of the runners
13 along the X axis and the consequent approaching of the spears 11, carried by the
elements 151, which are arranged in the working position B, as shown in figures 9-12.
In the working position B, the spears 11 empty the air from the head 1 of the bag
2 by operating on the side parts 111, 112 of the head 1 of the bag. The triangular
spears 11, by pushing the side parts 111, 112 towards the inside of the head 2, provide
the characteristic triangular formation of the side parts of the head 1 of the bag
2 and contribute to emptying the air from the head 2.
[0030] The clockwise rotation of the rotational plate 25 allows the approaching of the runners
23 along the Y axis and the consequent approaching of the press-like elements 21,
carried by the elements 23, which are arranged in the working position B, as shown
in figures 9-12. In the working position B, the press-like elements 21 completely
deflate the head 1 of the bag 2.
[0031] Advantageously, the connecting rod transmissions 18, 26, 155 allow a quick and accurate
response to the motor control 12, 16, 22.
[0032] The occupied space is small and the action of the press 20 and of the spears 11 may
be simultaneous with a considerable saving of production time.
1. Apparatus for forming the head (1) of a bag (2) for foods, comprising a single frame
(50) supporting a press (20) with a pair of press-like elements (21) for deflating
the head of the bag, a pair of spears (11) for forming the head of the bag, a first
electric motor (22) for moving the press-like elements (21) and a second electric
motor (12) for moving the pair of spears (11),
each press-like element (21) is carried by a respective first runner (23) sliding
on first guides (24) along a first axis (Y),
each spear (11) is carried by a respective second runner (13) sliding on second guides
(14) along a second axis (X) orthogonal to said first axis (Y) characterized in that
the first runners (23) are connected by first connecting rods (26) to a first plate
(25) configured to be rotated by the first electric motor (22),
the second runners (13) are connected by second connecting rods (18) to a second plate
(17) configured to be rotated by the second electric motor (12),
the apparatus further comprises two elements (151) which each carry one of the spears
(11) and which are able to slide on a third guide (152) along the second axis (X)
by respective third runners (153) and are anchored to said respective second runners
(13) in sliding manner along the first axis (Y),
said third guide (152) is moved along the first axis (Y) by a third connecting rod
(155) connected to a third rotational plate (154) controlled in rotation by a third
electric motor (16).
2. Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said electric motors (12, 16, 22) are mutually independent.

jeder Speer (11) von einem entsprechenden zweiten Läufer (13) getragen wird, der auf
zweiten Führungen (14) entlang einer zweiten zur ersten Achse (Y) orthogonalen Achse
(X) gleitet
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die ersten Läufer (23) durch erste Pleuelstangen (26) mit einer ersten Platte (25)
verbunden sind, die so konfiguriert ist, dass sie durch den ersten Elektromotor (22)
gedreht werden kann,
die zweiten Läufer (13) durch zweite Pleuelstangen (18) mit einer zweiten Platte (17)
verbunden sind, die so konfiguriert ist, dass sie durch den zweiten Elektromotor (12)
gedreht werden kann,
die Vorrichtung ferner zwei Elemente (151) umfasst, die jeweils einen der Speere (11)
tragen und die auf einer dritten Führung (152) entlang der zweiten Achse (X) durch
jeweilige dritte Läufer (153) gleiten können und an den jeweiligen zweiten Läufern
(13) gleitend entlang der ersten Achse (Y) verankert sind, und
die dritte Führung (152) entlang der ersten Achse (Y) durch eine dritte Verbindungsstange
(155) bewegt wird, die mit einer dritten Drehplatte (154) verbunden ist, die durch
einen dritten Elektromotor (16) in Drehung versetzt wird.
2. Vorrichtung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Elektromotoren (12, 16, 22) voneinander unabhängig sind.

(26) à une première plaque (25) configurée pour être entraînée en rotation par le
premier moteur électrique (22),
les deuxièmes glissières (13) sont raccordées par des deuxièmes tiges de raccordement
(18) à une deuxième plaque (17) configurée pour être entraînée en rotation par le
deuxième moteur électrique (12),
l'appareil comprenant en outre deux éléments (151) qui portent chacun l'un des harpons
(11) et qui peuvent coulisser sur un troisième guide (152) le long du second axe (X)
par des troisièmes glissières (153) respectives et sont ancrés auxdites deuxièmes
glissières (13) respectives d'une manière coulissante le long du premier axe (Y),
ledit troisième guide (152) est déplacé le long du premier axe (Y) par une troisième
tige de raccordement (155) raccordée à une troisième plaque rotation (154) commandée
en rotation par un troisième moteur électrique (16).
2. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moteurs électriques (12, 16, 22) sont mutuellement indépendants.
