Object of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a display packaging for pans and the like comprising
a hollow body with a tiered structure that provides stable fastening of a group of
stacked pans and also provides protection against external dirt, dust and other external
elements that could unduly affect the pans stacked inside the display packaging of
the invention. Therefore, the object of the invention is to achieve stable fastening
of the pans inside the display packaging and also to provide protection against external
dirt and deterioration of the pans.
Technical problem to be solved and background of the invention
[0002] Currently, it is common to offer individual units for sale, made up of a set of pans
of various sizes that are grouped and stacked together according to size, from large
to small, where the largest pan is usually located in a lower area and the smallest
pan is located in the highest part.
[0003] At present, the tendency is to link the pans together using laminated cardboard bodies
that provide unstable fastening and furthermore do not adequately cover the pans.
[0004] Therefore, these described sales means do not ensure good stabilization of the group
of pans. Furthermore, they conceal the design or appearance of the product being sold
and said sales means are scarcely or not at all hygienic, since the pans are exposed
to inclement external conditions such as dust and other external elements, as well
as handling by people who will not finally buy the pans.
Description of the invention
[0005] In order to achieve the objectives and avoid the drawbacks mentioned in the previous
paragraphs, the invention proposes a display packaging for pans and the like comprising
a hollow body having a tiered structure made up of a base and a side wall; wherein
the base is located in a plane opposite an opening of the hollow body.
[0006] Inside the hollow body various cavities are formed, configured to house parts of
main bodies of at least some of the stacked pans; wherein said main bodies comprise
a configuration in the shape of a bowl.
[0007] The side wall of the hollow body comprises a tiered generatrix, while at the same
time said side wall is interrupted by a closed contoured front aperture, which is
configured so that handles of the pans project towards the exterior through said front
aperture.
[0008] The opening of the hollow body is delimited by a perimeter wing, which is interrupted
by the front aperture; wherein said perimeter wing has a C-shaped surrounding profile
configured to adapt and embrace a rim of the main body of a lower pan located in the
lowest part of a group of stacked pans.
[0009] The hollow body includes a lower flap that joins convergent ends of the perimeter
wing that come together in a lower part of the front aperture; wherein said lower
flap constitutes an element that closes said front aperture at the lowest part thereof.
[0010] The front aperture, which interrupts the continuity of the side wall of the hollow
body is delimited by two collateral tabs and one upper tab joined to the base.
[0011] On the other hand, the cavities formed inside the hollow body are delimited by the
base; and by surrounding portions and annular portions that are all part of the side
wall; wherein the annular and base portions are located in planes that diverge towards
the area in which the front aperture is located.
[0012] The display packaging of the invention provides protection against external dirt,
dust and other external elements that could unduly affect the pans, such that the
display packaging provides stable fastening of the pans and also provides protection
against external dirt and deterioration of the pans.
[0013] For the purpose of helping to make this specification more readily understandable,
a set of drawings constituting an integral part of the same has been included below,
wherein by way of illustration and not limitation the object of the invention has
been represented.
Brief description of the drawings
[0014]
Figure 1 shows an elevation view of the display packaging for pans and the like, object of
the invention.
Figure 2 shows a profile view of the display packaging.
Figure 3 shows a plan view of the display packaging of the invention.
Description of an exemplary embodiment of the invention
[0015] Considering the numbering adopted in the figures, the display packaging for pans
and the like comprises a hollow body 1 having a tiered structure made up of a base
2, a side wall 3 and an opening 4 opposite the base 2; wherein said side wall 3 comprises
a tiered generatrix; and wherein said side wall 3 is interrupted by a front aperture
5 bordered by two collateral tabs 5a and by an upper tab 5b joined to the base 2.
[0016] A succession of cavities 1a, 1b, 1c of different sizes, increasing from bottom to
top, is configured inside the hollow body 1. Said cavities 1a, 1b, 1c of the hollow
body 1 are configured to house, in the interior thereof, main bodies 6a (in the shape
of a bowl) of pans 6 stacked from bottom to top in increasing manner; wherein handles
6b of the pans project towards the exterior through the front aperture 5 found in
the side wall 3 of the hollow body 1; featuring an upper pan, which has the smallest
size and a lower pan, which has the largest size of all the stacked pans 6.
[0017] With the disposition described above and during the implementation of the display
packaging of the invention, perimeter parts of side walls of the main bodies 6a of
the different stacked pans 6, except the lower pan, said perimeter parts are fitted
inside the different cavities 1a, 1b, 1c of the hollow body 1; wherein the main body
6a of the smaller-sized upper pan is fitted into the cavity 1a delimited by the upper
part thereof through the base 2 of the hollow body.
[0018] The opening 4 of the hollow body 1 is delimited by a perimeter wing 7, which is interrupted
by the front aperture 5; wherein said perimeter wing 7 has a C-shaped surrounding
profile configured to adapt and embrace a rim 8 of the main body 6a of the larger-sized
lower pan.
[0019] The hollow body 1 includes a lower flap 9 that joins convergent ends of the perimeter
wing 7 that come together in a lower part of the front aperture 5, such that said
flap 9 constitutes an element that closes said front aperture 5 at the lowest part
thereof.
[0020] The cavities formed inside the hollow body 1 are delimited by the base 2; and by
surrounding portions and annular portions that all form part of the side wall 3; wherein
the annular portions and base 2 are found in planes that diverge towards the area
in which the front aperture 5 is located.
[0021] In the embodiment shown in the figures, the adopted solution is really simple, since
it essentially consists of the hollow body 1 molded in thermoplastic material, including
the cavities 1a, 1b, 1c, which adapt to the perimeter of the different main bodies
6a of the pans 6.
[0022] The handles of the pans 6 project towards the exterior through the front aperture
5, and the lower flap 9 is placed below the handle 6b of the lower pan as a retaining
element with respect to said handle 6b of the lower pan 6.
[0023] Preferably, the display packaging will be made of transparent plastic material but
the use of dyed materials of even other non-polymer materials is also possible.
[0024] This type of display packaging can also be applied to other vessels, such pots and
grills with a quadrangular shape, etc.
