(54) SOLE WITH INTEGRATED TOE CAP

(57) A sole is disclosed with an integrated toe cap (1) comprising: a sole (2) joined to a toe cap (3), wherein the toe cap surrounds a front portion of a footwear item and comprises a left side (8), a right side (9) and a central area (7). Each side (8,9) comprises a tab (4) configured to be fastened by means of gluing or sewing to a band (10) arranged in an upper surface of an EVA midsole (5) of the footwear, said tabs (4) remaining concealed in an inner portion of the footwear. The present invention is a new type of sole for footwear with integrated traditional toe cap for the toes, preventing the toe cap from being able to detach.

Description

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The object of the present invention relates to a sole for footwear with an integrated traditional rubber toecap for the toes where the toe cap, as a result of built-in tabs, prevents it from coming detached from the footwear despite use and the passage of time.

[0002] It is particularly applicable in the footwear manufacturing industry.

TECHNICAL PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED AND BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] As is known, the toe cap is a reinforcement of the footwear arranged in the portion that covers the tip of the foot, and particularly of footwear intended for sports or leisure activities, which require reinforcement in this portion due to the functional nature thereof.

[0004] It has generally been found that with the use of footwear and the passage of time, the toe cap of the footwear, usually sports footwear, ends up detaching, causing the consequent deterioration.

[0005] However, the present invention provides the market with a new type of sole for footwear with an integrated traditional toe cap for the toes, preventing the toe cap from being able to detach.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The present invention relates to a sole with an integrated toe cap comprising a sole joined to a toe cap, wherein the toe cap surrounds a front portion of the footwear and comprises a left side, a right side and a central area, wherein each side comprises a tab configured to be fastened by means of gluing or sewing to a band arranged in the upper surface of an EVA midsole of the footwear, said tabs remaining concealed in an inner part of the footwear.

[0007] Each tab is arranged in a plane perpendicular to the vertical plane made up by each side and extends from an end of each side to the central area.

[0008] The sole is joined to the toe cap by means of the lower portion of the central area.

[0009] The toe cap comprises an embossing in the lower portion of the central area and an upper border with a curved convex shape in the upper portion of the central area.

DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

[0010] To complete the description and for the purpose of helping to make the characteristics of the invention more readily understandable, this specification is accompanied by a set of drawings, as an integral part thereof, which by way of illustration and not limitation represent the following:

Figure 1a. - Shows a top view of the sole with an integrated toe cap assembled with the EVA midsole. The tabs are seen attached on the bands arranged in the EVA midsole.

Figure 1b. - Shows a side view where it can be seen how the EVA midsole is arranged between the toe cap and the sole.

Figure 2. - Shows an exploded view of the sole with an integrated toe cap and the EVA midsole.

Figure 3. - Shows a plan view where the portions of the toe cap are seen in detail.

Figure 4. - Shows a front view of the sole with an integrated toe cap.

Figure 5. - Shows a front view of the sole with an integrated toe cap already assembled with the EVA midsole. A detail of the embossing of the toe cap can be seen.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0012] The present invention relates to a sole (2) for footwear comprising an extension by way of an integrated toe cap (3), both making up a single piece.

[0013] Said toe cap (3), has a convex shape, and surrounds the front part of the footwear, staying adhered against the cut, by means of gluing or sewing.

[0014] The toe cap (3) comprises a left side (8), a right side (9) and a central area (7), and is joined to the sole (2) by means of the lower portion of said central area (7). Additionally, each side (8,9) comprises a tab (4) that is fastened, by means of gluing or sewing, to a band (10) arranged in the upper surface of the EVA midsole (5) of the footwear.

[0015] The tabs (4) are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the vertical plane that each side (8,9) makes up and extend from the ends (11) of the sides (8,9) to approximately the central area (7), as shown in Figure 1a. Furthermore, the tabs (4) are very thin such that upon placing the insole of the footwear on top, they are not noticeable on the foot.

[0016] The EVA midsole (5) is assembled in the sole (2), and once the two portions are assembled, they are glued and pressed together. The tabs (4) are then glued to the bands (10) intended for this purpose on the upper surface of the EVA midsole (5), the EVA midsole (5) therefore being placed between the toe cap (3) and the sole (2), as seen in Figure 1b.

[0017] The toe cap (3) is visible once the footwear is finished, while the tabs (4) are concealed in the inner portion of the footwear.

[0018] As seen in Figure 5, the toe cap (3) has an embossing (6) in the lower portion of the central area (7) that simulates being a part independent from the rest of the toe cap (3), but it is not. Said embossing (6) simulates traditional toe caps. Additionally, the central area (7) comprises an upper border (12) with a curved convex shape in the upper portion thereof, which allows better adhesion of the toe cap (3) to the footwear and keeps it from detaching. The sole with integrated toe cap (1) can be manufactured in rubber, PVC, polyurethane, natural rubber, EVA, etc.

[0019] The present invention should not be limited to the embodiment described herein. Other configurations may be carried out by those skilled in the art based on the present description. Accordingly, the scope of the invention is defined by the following claims.
