(54) OPENING SYSTEM WITH GAS STRUTS AND HINGES FOR INDUCTION HOB WITH INTEGRATED COOKER HOOD

(57) This invention is applied to the induction hobs with integrated cooker hood and regards a new opening system with gas struts and hinges that permit the possibility of opening by lifting the ceramic glass cooking plane. The system include a lower metal sink to collect the liquid or solid residues.

Description

[0001] The present invention has for object an opening system with gas struts and hinges for an induction hob with integrated cooker hood. The induction hobs with integrated cooker hood until now did not foresee the possibility of opening by lifting the ceramic glass cooking plane. Extraction area through holes, slots or grills provided access to the bottom only by the removal of protective metal elements or parts in glass of all the different solutions.

[0002] The ceramic glass cooking plane was fixed and there was no possibility to raise it after installation. The advantage of the present invention is the ability to manually raise and with ease the top glass of the hob, to access to the lower compartment where they can fall and settle the solid or liquid residues generated during the phase of food preparation. The invention provides some gas struts to the system to facilitate lifting of the ceramic glass top that is hinged by hinges that rotate and translate. When is open the ceramic glass top remains in a stable position by itself, thanks to the force exerted by the applied mechanisms. The same mechanisms accompanying the movement also during the closure phase till the contact between glass top and the lower metallic element. The practical advantage includes the simplicity of use and ease of access for all cleaning and maintenance operations of the lower compartment where there is the extraction air passage.

[0003] The invention is explained now with reference to the accompanying drawings, where is shown first the panel of ceramic glass in the closed position (Fig.1). In this situation it is posssible to use the induction hob with any adequate pot for cooking various foods. In this position also the integrated cooker hood can works properly at different speeds extracting the fumes and vapors in the vicinity, generated by the cooking hob operations. The position (Fig.2) shows instead the ceramic glass totally open with the lower induction electrical parts coupled to the glass itself. In this position it is possible a full access to the lower metal section that is used as collecting tank and where there is also the filter of the cooker hood. This filter is raised from the bottom to create a barrier between the liquid and solid residues, which can fall through the grid inside the parts of the motor. The electrical motor is positioned in a specific structure in the lowest part of the product. In the drawing are seen in clear evidence to the double gas struts (Fig.3) that guide and support the movement in the phase of opening and closing of the ceramic glass top. The location and the connection between of the gas struts is designed to make the entire process of movement smooth and safe, avoiding the rapid fall of the glass ceramic.

[0004] It is possible to see also the hinges (Fig.4) that connect the ceramic glass panel and others upper parts with the lower structure. The type, size and location of the gas struts and the hinges may vary depending on the version and level of product development, without however departing from the scope of the invention, and then by the patent limits.
