<heading id="h0001">RELATED TECHNICAL FIELD</heading>

This invention relates to a replaceable cover system consisting of a "hook-and-tube embodiment", a "hook and pile embodiment attached to the slats", and an "elastic band embodiment", to be adapted to a sofa design depending on whether a metal frame applied to wooden slatted metal frames in furniture sector have a mechanism or not, or on the mechanism used.

<heading id="h0002">STATE OF THE ART</heading>

Nowadays, furniture manufacturers are bringing many innovations in line with the demands of the users. Attempts and manufacturing processes are made in order to design more comfortable and durable beds, sofas, and sofas and armchairs with a bed. In this context, the wooden slatted sofas developed are lighter and more flexible than the metal slatted sofas. In addition, wooden slatted frames absorb the loads on the sofa, thus increasing the service life of the furniture. Due to all these features, the wooden slatted sofas with metal frames are becoming more attractive for furniture users and manufacturers.

On the other hand, the process of covering the furniture covers which covers the furniture onto the wooden slatted sofas with metal frames is one in which the furniture manufacturers do not develop much, wherein in traditional methods the covers are stitched to the back and seat cushions, and wherein the fabric is stapled around the frame during the metal frame covering process.

The manufacturer may have to change the cover for the same sofa more than once due to the reasons of the sofa users based on wearing, tearing and fouling of the sofa covers, and change of the sofa pattern. It is expected by the user that the furniture manufacturer will provide the first manufacturing quality of the sofa.

According to state of the art, replaceable covers exist, which can be applied to sofas and armchairs. Thus, users can buy the covers in colors and patterns that they only want for their furniture at low cost, and they can remove and wash the covers when needed. However, as the mechanism opens and closes, especially on the sofa with beds, the cushions and the cover on the body of the sofa move in the right and left, or up and down direction. This creates a discontent in terms of use and comfort.

As a result, the existence of the above-mentioned problems has made it necessary to realize a replaceable cover system, in particular for covering the wooden slatted sofas with metal frames.

<heading id="h0003">OBJECT OF THE INVENTION</heading>

The object of the invention is to make the wooden slatted sofas with metal frames more useful and comfortable for the users by means of a replaceable cover system including a hook-and-tube embodiment, a hook and pile embodiment attached to the slats, and an elastic band embodiment, which are 3 different key elements to be adapted to the different sofa designs in the furniture sector.

<heading id="h0006">DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION</heading>

This invention relates to a replaceable cover system consisting of a hook-and-tube embodiment, a hook and pile embodiment attached to the slats, and an elastic band embodiment, to be adapted to a sofa design depending on whether a metal frame applied to wooden slatted metal frames in furniture sector have a mechanism or not, or on the mechanism used.

A hook-and-tube embodiment which prevents the sofa cushions from excessively moving during opening-closing operation of the sofas with a metal frame consists of at least two interlining pieces (2) stitched to the joint of two cushions (5); a metal tube (1) passed through a hole on the interlining piece (2); and hooks (3) which holds the metal tube (1) and fixes it to the sofa; and also cover cavities (17) which allow the metal tube (1) to be attached to the hooks (3).

A hook and pile embodiment used to fully cover the metal frame (12) with the cover (8), or to restrict the movement area of the cushion (5) consists of a left slat soft hook and pile (6) which is stitched to the slats (4) and wound around the slats (4) by overlapping, a right slat hard hook and pile (7), an interlining (9) stitched to the rear side of the cover (8) and on which a soft hook and pile (10) is present, a hard hook and pile (11) on the front inner side of the cover (8) by wounding around the metal frame (12).

An elastic band embodiment which allows the back and seat cushions (5) to slip back and forth while preventing the same from slipping to the left or right consists of elastic bands (14) stitched to the rear face of the cushions (5); bridges (13) through which the elastic bands (14) are passed and by means of which the cushion (5) is attached to the slats (4); a female belt buckle (15) and a male belt buckle (16), which are located at the end of the elastic bands (14) and engage the elastic bands (14).

The hook-and-tube embodiment, the first one of the embodiments forming the present invention, fixes the back and seat cushions (5) to the center of the bed mechanism via a hook (3) and metal tube (1) in the sofas with metal frames. On the sofas with beds, the cushions (5) move as the mechanism opens and closes. This mechanism prevents the cushions (5) from moving further by allowing the same to move to the desired extent.

At least 2 interlining pieces (2) are sewn to the joint of the two cushions (5) sewn together. The interlining pieces (2) are pulled out of the center of the bed mechanism of the sofa and the metal tube (1) is passed through the holes (2) on the interlining piece (2).

In order to attach the interlining piece (2) to the hooks (3), the cover cavities (17) are formed in its parts corresponding to the hooks (3). The metal tube (1) is withdrawn after being passed through the interlining piece (2) and thus, the cushions (5) are fixed via the hooks (3).

In the hook and pile embodiment attached to the slats of the present invention, it is possible for the cover (8) or the cushion (5) to move to the desired extent by restricting the movement area of the cover (8) or the cushion (5) covered on a mechanism as the mechanism is opened and closed, in the mechanisms by means of which the metal frame (12) becomes a bed.

In this embodiment, the cover (8) or the cushion (5) is prevented from moving in the left and right, or in the up and down direction by means of the hook and pile embodiment wounded around the slats (4).

The hook and pile is stitched on the inner side of the cover (8), facing to the slats (4), with the soft slat hook and pile (6) being on the left and hard slat hook and pile (7) being on the right. The soft slat hook and pile (6) is sewn outwardly, whereas the hard slat hook and pile (7) is sewn such that it faces the slat (4).

The hook and pile is wound on the slats (4) such that the hard slat hook and pile (7) is on the soft slat hook and pile (6).

The interlining (9), which is stitched to the back side of the cover (8) after the hook and pile wounded on the slats are closed, and on which a soft hook and pile (10) is present, is attached to the hard hook and pile (11) on the front inner side of the cover (8) by winding around the metal frame (12), and thus the cover (8) is enabled to cover the metal frame (12).

In the elastic band embodiment, which is another aspect of our invention, it is possible for the cushions (5) to move forward and backward during the opening and closing process of the sofa while the back and seat cushions (5) are prevented from slipping sideways by means of the elastic bands (14) sewn on the back face of the cushions (5). The elastic bands (14) having a male belt buckle (16) and a female belt buckle (15) on their ends that have not been sewn to the cushion are joined together by means of the engagement of the male belt buckle (16) and female belt buckle (15) by passing over each slat (4) and passing through the bridges (13) sewn on the bask face of the cushions (5).

Consequently, the replaceable cover system having the above-mentioned three embodiments allows the sofa covers that have been become old, worn off and fouled on the wooden slatted sofas with metal frames and also the covers of the newly manufactured sofas to be replaced by the manufacturer in a short time and an easy way, as well as being comfortable and useful for the sofa user by preventing the seat and back cushions from slipping in the left and right direction and by providing a compatible movement with the open/close mechanism of the sofa.
