OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a decorative or advertising support, for exteriors,
based on a cut-out or trimmed frame to configure decorative forms, that supports a
mesh, being both surfaces painted and illuminated by LEDs installed in the inner perimeter
edge of the frame, these supports being capable to display their decoration and coloring
both during the day, without illuminating, and at night, illuminated.
[0002] This invention has the purpose of decorating urban spaces, replacing advantageously
the conventional luminous decoration that is used in festive dates like Christmas,
patron saint's holidays, events, etc. This is a frame made of any material that can
act as a frame, which, once cut-out or trimmed to the desired shape, with a strip
of LEDs type lamps installed on its inner edge, are oriented towards the center of
an equally cut-out or trimmed mesh or lattice, supported by that frame, with air flowing
through the holes of that mesh or lattice, and the inner silhouette of that mesh or
lattice can be illuminated when the aforementioned luminous strip of LEDs is switched
on.
[0003] It solves several problems affecting conventional exterior decorations that are usually
used in those festive or events, in which a profile is used that is drawn with tubes
with or without filler, that filler being a cord with LEDs that when illuminated shine
the points of light of those LEDs, being designed for their exclusively nocturnal
vision, which is when they only fulfil their decorative and animating function of
the party or event. This conventional decoration has the following disadvantages:
- It only acts at night, offering a blurred and not at all decorative vision during
the day.
- Even so, it does not give much decorative and chromatic game even when illuminated,
since the luminous tubes that conform the figures do not offer so many possibilities
for the decoration as the mesh or lattice, that is painted like an oil painting, although
saving without covering the holes to let the wind pass through; as regards the coloring,
it is necessary to limit to the basic colors of the leds, without allowing the palette
of colors that the invention admits.
[0004] Faced with these drawbacks of decorative or outdoor advertising supports for parties
and events that are conventionally used, this invention offers the following advantages:
- the part supported by the frame is made of a mesh or lattice, which offers on the
one hand the possibility of painting it like an oil painting, with the only exception
of leaving the holes of the mesh or lattice free so that the wind can flow therethrough
and thus compensate the resistance to it, that is to say, it lends itself to a more
complete decoration and at the same time it does not offer resistance to the wind.
- Due to the lightness of the materials, it is suitable to hang it in streets and squares,
without this diminishing its resistance.
- In contrast to conventional luminous exterior decorations, which offer a poor range
of colors, and limit to the basic colors, i.e. the colors of the LEDs, the present
invention offers the possibility of choosing any color, even allowing the degradation
and fusion of colors, acting as a canvas where one can paint artistically or even
use a printer to transfer the graphic.
- Because the LEDs are fixed to the edge of the frame and oriented towards the mesh
or lattice, the mesh or lattice is illuminated at night with all the intensity and
reflection of the LEDs, being bathed in light.
- By day, without lighting, the decoration is shown in all its chromatic and graphic
richness, with the only imperceptible handicap that the porous part of the mesh or
lattice remains unpainted, which does not diminish its decorative function.
- In contrast to the juxtaposition of LED lamps to form the filling of the figures carried
out by conventional production, the present invention advantageously solves the filling
of these figures by means of the inclusion of the mesh or lattice, with the consequent
saving of electrical material and labour, since this labor-intensive installation
is not necessary, in which the LED cord has to be bridged and its corresponding electrical
connections arranged.
- This same invention can serve as an advertising medium.
[0005] Its industrial application is in the manufacture and installation of decorative or
outdoor advertising supports and more specifically of supports of this type made up
of meshes or lattices supported by frames and illuminated.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0006] Although no invention identical to the one described has been found, the following
are the documents found that reflect the state of the art related to it.
[0007] Thus, document
ES2324117T3 proposes a decorative foil to be used to decorate a formed product, the foil comprising:
a decoration layer; a base member that serves as a support for the decoration layer;
an adhesive layer to adhere the decoration layer and the base member to the formed
product; consisting of a flow reducing member to reduce the flow of the adhesive layer,
the flow reducing member being supplied in the adhesive layer and being made of a
material that has a higher melting point than that of a material in the adhesive layer.
Compared to the proposed invention, the latter does not advantageously use any adhesive
layer.
[0008] Document
ESQ217687U describes translucent pictures with lighting, consisting of a frame on which is mounted
a sheet of translucent or transparent material decorated with the patterns proposed
and with materials appropriate for not preventing the passage of light in the degree
of intensity necessary to obtain the diffuse illumination of the decorated sheet.
Neither this technique of translucent pictures and diffuse lighting is used by the
proposed invention.
[0009] ES1074153U describes a decorative panel, that presenting any contour, normally corresponding
to the silhouette of a figure, animal, object or any other that is decorative, is
constituted from a rigid plate on one of whose faces is arranged a layer of soft material
and on this one a covering of fabric that extends covering all the contour of the
rigid plate with the layer of soft material, fixing itself on the opposite side and
considered as the back of the rigid plate, with the particularity that a decorative
image is printed on the fabric covering which has been transferred to the fabric itself
by sublimation.
[0010] Conclusions: As can be seen from the research carried out, none of the documents
found solves the problems addressed as does the proposed invention.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0011] The decorative or advertising support for decorating exteriors in parties and events,
painted and illuminated and resistant to wind, is constituted from a frame with a
cut-out or trimmed shape according to the figure or pattern devised by the decorator,
who holds a mesh whose holes are sufficient for the wind to flow through, and whose
surface is directly illuminated by a strip of LEDs installed on the perimetral inner
edge of the said frame, these LEDs being oriented towards the mesh or lattice. A metallic
exterior structure gives the support the necessary resistance for handling and installation
outdoors. Both the mesh and the frame are painted or decorated in the manner of canvas,
without the paint closing the holes of the mesh or lattice.
[0012] The method for the execution of the decorative or advertising support for the embellishment
of exteriors in parties and events, includes the following steps:
- a) Choice of a decorative or advertising design that serves as a frame, for which
any shape or size can be chosen,
- b) Exterior and interior cut-out or trimming of the pattern or figure designed in
the previous stage,
- c) Installation of a strip of LEDs on the inner perimeter edge of said frame, facing
laterally inwards,
- d) Fixing to the frame, with suitable coupling means, of a mesh or lattice whose holes
allows the wind to flow therethrough,
- e) Cut of the mesh or lattice in excess.
- f) Painting or transfer from a printer of both the mesh and the frame.
