(57) A foldable display device (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700) includes a display panel (110) configured to be folded around a folding axis. The display panel (110) includes spacers (150, 160, 170, 180, 350) disposed in a non-folding area (NFA) and a folding area (FA), and the spacers (150, 160, 170, 180, 350) may have different sizes or densities. Dimensions of the spacers (150, 160, 170, 180, 350) may be in a direction of the folding axis or intersect the direction of the folding axis. The display panel (110) also includes pixels in an active area (AA) that overlap with the spacers (150, 160, 170, 180, 350), which may help reduce peeling, cracking, defects, or reduction in pixel brightness due to folding of the display device (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700) .
