APPLICATOR DEVICE FOR THE APPLICATION OF COSMETIC PRODUCTS, PARTICULARLY FOR LIPS AND SKIN

Abstract

 An applicator device (1) for the application of a cosmetic product, particularly for lips or skin, comprising a rod (2) which has a first end and a second end, the second end being provided with an applicator (4); the applicator (4) has at least one through opening (5) formed in the body of the applicator (4).

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to an applicator device for the application of cosmetic products, particularly for lips and skin.

[0002] As is known, applicator devices are used to apply cosmetic products to the lips and to the skin in general which are constituted by a rod provided, at a first end, with a grip coupling region, which is adapted to screw into or engage with the neck of a bottle in which a product to be applied is contained.

[0003] The first end can be provided with a functional or decorative capsule, which is also screwed onto the neck of the bottle, to close the mouth thereof.

[0004] The first end, with the capsule or not, allows the user to grip the assembly in order to perform the application of the product contained in the bottle.

[0005] The second end of the rod is instead provided with an applicator which is normally accommodated in an adapted seat formed at said second end, or the second end can be in turn shaped appropriately, or the applicator can be co-molded or overmolded on the second end.

[0006] Applicators of the known type are constituted generally by solid shapes or, if they have ribs or parts that are separate from the main body, they have the purpose of acting as a reserve of product, since the product is loaded into the applicator and remains accommodated therein until the user uses the applicator by pressing it against the concerned body part.

[0007] However, applicators of the known type are such that they can be used with a preferential side for the application of the product. In other words, the user must make sure to grip the rod so that the applicator is directed with the application area on the right side, since only one of the two sides of the applicator can be used to apply the cosmetic product.

[0008] The aim of the present invention is to provide an applicator device for the application of cosmetic products, particularly for lips and skin, which can be used equally from both sides.

[0009] Within this aim, an object of the present invention is to provide an applicator device for the application of cosmetic products that has an end that is differentiated depending on the side of use.

[0010] Another object of the present invention is to provide an applicator device for cosmetic products that can be used in association with normal bottles for containing the cosmetic product.

[0011] Another object of the present invention is to provide an applicator device for cosmetic products that is highly reliable, relatively simple to provide and at competitive costs.

[0012] This aim, as well as these and other objects which will become better apparent hereinafter, are achieved by an applicator device for the application of a cosmetic product, particularly for lips or skin, comprising a rod which has a first end and a second end, said second end being provided with an applicator, characterized in that said applicator has at least one through opening formed in the body of the applicator.

[0013] Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of the applicator device according to the present invention, illustrated by way of nonlimiting example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:

[0014] With reference to the figures, the applicator device according to the present invention, designated generally by the reference numeral 1, comprises a rod 2 which is provided at a first end with a capsule 3 adapted to be screwed onto a bottle 10 adapted to contain a cosmetic product.

[0015] The capsule 3 is adapted to close the mouth of the bottle 10 when the applicator device 1 is coupled to the bottle 10.

[0016] The rod 2 has, at the opposite end with respect to the coupling end of the capsule 3, an applicator 4 which is provided with at least one through opening 5 which is arranged parallel to the application surfaces 6 and 7 of the product.

[0017] The surfaces 6 and 7 are surfaces for contact between the applicator 4 and the skin of the user.

[0018] Conveniently, the at least one through opening 5 can be provided for example as an opening provided with a first portion 5a which is parallel to the surfaces 6 and 7 and blends with a second portion 5b which is substantially perpendicular to the surfaces 6 and 7 and in turn is blended with a third portion 5c which is again substantially parallel to the surfaces 6 and 7 of the applicator 4.

[0019] The through opening 5 allows to give flexibility to the applicator 4 and particularly a differentiated flexibility to the surfaces 6 and 7 and therefore allows to use both surfaces 6 and 7 as surfaces for the application of the cosmetic product, therefore as surfaces adapted to make contact with the skin of the user, and at the same time can allow to use the applicator with different application characteristics depending on the face of the applicator that the user places in contact with the skin.

[0020] In practice it has been found that the applicator device according to the present invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects, since it can be used at both of its faces by virtue of the presence of at least one through opening at the body of the applicator.

[0021] The device thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the accompanying claims.

[0022] All the details may furthermore be replaced with other technically equivalent elements.

[0023] In practice, the materials used, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, may be any according to the requirements and the state of the art.

Claims

1. An applicator device (1) for the application of a cosmetic product, particularly for lips or skin, comprising a rod (2) which has a first end and a second end, said second end being provided with an applicator (4), characterized in that said applicator (4) has at least one through opening (5) formed in the body of the applicator (4).

2. The applicator device according to claim 1, characterized in that said rod (2) has, at said first end, a capsule (3) in order to allow to grip said rod (2) and at the same time close a bottle (10) of cosmetic product into which said applicator device is to be inserted.

3. The applicator device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said at least one through opening (5) formed in said applicator has a first portion (5a) which is parallel to the faces (6, 7) of said applicator (4), said first portion (5a) blending with a second portion (5b) which is substantially perpendicular to said faces (6, 7) of the applicator, said second portion (5b) blending with a third portion (5c) which is substantially parallel to the faces (6, 7) of said applicator (4).

4. The applicator device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said at least one through opening (5) formed in said applicator (4) gives flexibility to said applicator.
