CRUZ (CHESS REINVENTED UNDER ZEN) |
(57) CRUZ (Chess Reinvented Under Zen) is a two-player strategy board game played on a
checkered game board with 80 squares arranged in a 10 x 8 grid. It is a modified version
of the original chess game with the addition of four pieces with an interesting new
movements and relatively exciting new set of rules. It could be the game of the future.

[0001] CRUZ is a two-player strategy board game played on a chessboard. Unlike the original
Chess, CRUZ is a checkered game board with 80 squares arranged in a 10 x 8 grid, 10
horizontal and 8 vertical squares to be precise.
[0002] In CRUZ each player begins with 20 pieces; A King, A Queen, A Prince, A Princess,
Two Rooks, Two Knights, Two Bishops, Two Captains, and Eight Pawns. Each of nine pieces
types moves differently and the most powerful are The Queen and The Prince.
1. A new board game named CRUZ which stands for Chess Reinvented Under Zen comprising;
a. a board set similar to the original chess but with 10 x 8 grid,
b. a board game with 20 pieces having light colors and 20 pieces having dark colors
on each side, and
c. a board game similar to chess but with four new pieces added.
2. Anew board game of claim 1, wherein the four (4) new pieces are Prince, Princess and
2(two) Captains.
3. A new board game of claim 1 wherein, although similar to chess but with new movements
of the new pieces.
4. A board game of claim 1, wherein it has its own set of rules.
