    (57) An electric toothbrush comprises: a main body part (12) provided with a first electrode (11); a second electrode (17) provided at an end in the longitudinal direction of the main body part and connected to one end of the main body part; a brush part (16) including a brush base (15) in which brush bristles (14) are embedded, and connected to the second electrode; a power supply part (30); a current detecting part (36) for detecting a weak current generated by the user holding the brush part in the oral cavity of the user while touching the first electrode; and a vibration generating unit (38). The vibration generating unit is driven when the weak current is detected by the current detecting part.
