to entertain and care a baby.
Description:
[0002] The purpose of the invention is to carry and entertain a baby by using one hand.
Normally an adult would need two hands to carry and entertain with a toy or similar.
Now for the first time entertaining and carrying a baby by one hand in safe manner
is possible. By being able to release the other hand adult isable to use it for supportive
tasks. This provides more freedom for an adult to concentrate on movingsafer or conducting
other tasks at the same time.
[0003] The Babysleeve is used such that a baby is lifted under her armpits face pointing
forward and raised against adult's chest. Adult and baby both share the same visibility
but the baby can entertain herself with accessories attached to Babysleeve, which
is attached to adult's forearm.
[0004] Babysleeve is easy to wear and attach different type of attachable accessories like
toys or caring items to it. Babysleeve has eyelets that provide a possibility to change
items on it. Items can be changed basedon babies' requirements or preferences.
[0005] Indication of the background art.
[0006] After multiple search through Internet and baby accessory stores worldwide, similar
invention has never been done. Toys are always sold separately or in an item that
is self-standing. Babysleeve invention isthe first time when it is possible to entertain
a baby at the same time while carrying and only using one hand.
Technical problem to be solved:
[0007] Human only have two hands and when a baby needs attentions or caring an adult needs
to use both hands and therefore is tied up to that situation. When releasing the other
hand for supportive tasks anadult can continue moving or conducting other tasks while
carrying and entertaining a baby in one hand.
Disclosure of invention:
[0008] Babysleeve consists of three main parts: sleeve, eyelets and fastening mechanism.
[0009] Sleeve part (no.1 in Fig.4) covers adult's forearm, which is carrying a baby under
her armpits. Sleeve part is the main component of the invention and works as a platform
for other parts. Sleeve is attached to adult's forearm with velcro fastening mechanism
(no.3 in Fig.4). Velcro fastening mechanism provides possibility to adjust how firmly
sleeve is wanted to be carried. Adults' forearm sizes can also vary so this fastening
mechanism provides margin in that.
[0010] Eyelets (no.2 in Fig.4) are attached firmly to sleeve part. They can be located on
the whole forearm area. Number of eyelets can be decided based on the requirements.
Attachable accessories will be attached to the sleeve through the eyelets. The eyelets
make it easy for user to change, re-locate or remove items on it.

[0013] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment
as mentioned above, it is to be understood that other possible modifications and variations
can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore,
contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations
that fall within the true scope of the invention.
1. The Babysleeve consists of sleeve part (no.1 in Fig.4), eyelets (no.2 in Fig.4) that
are connected to the sleeve part and velcro fastening mechanism (no.3 in Fig.4) that
keeps sleeve part attached around one's forearm.
2. In accordance with claim 1, the amount of eyelets (no.2 in Fig.4) can vary and this
way increase, decrease or re-locate their position on top of the sleeve part (no.1
in Fig.4).
3. In accordance with claim 1, the location or size of the velcro fastening part (no.3
in Fig.4) can be different based on the best optimal location.
4. In accordance with claim 1, the length of the sleeve part (no.1 in Fig.4), which covers
the length of the forearm when the Babysleeve is worn, can vary as long as it is still
