[0001] The present invention relates to papers for packaging, and more particularly to a
foldable wrapping paper
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Today, in stores, wrapping papers are typically stored or displayed on shelves in
rolls to avoid wrinkling of the wrapping papers. This form introduces some inconveniences
in use. When someone needs to use a wrapping paper, it is usually to be cut to the
required length and then wound up to avoid wrinkles. It is inconvenient to carry a
roll of wrapping paper, and in case the wrapping paper roll is pressed, wrinkles are
generated, making the wrapping paper unusable

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0016] For a better understanding of the technical features, objects and effects of the
present invention, the embodiments of the present invention are described in detail
with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0017] The embodiments of the foldable wrapping paper of the present invention are described
in detail below, and the examples of the embodiments are illustrated in the accompanying
drawings, in which the same or similar reference numerals indicate the same or similar
elements or elements having the same or similar functions.
[0018] In the description of the foldable wrapping paper of the present invention, it is
to be understood that the orientation or positional relationship of the terms "front",
"back", "upper", "lower", "upper end", "lower end", "upper part", "lower part", etc.
are based on the orientation or positional relationship shown in the drawings, and
are merely for the convenience of the description of the invention and the simplified
description, rather than indicating or implying that the device or component referred
to has a specific orientation, for construction and operation, therefore it is not
to be construed as limiting the invention. Moreover, the terms "first", "second",
etc. are used for descriptive purposes only and are not to be construed as indicating
or implying relative importance.
[0019] It is shown in Figures 1a and 1b an embodiment of a foldable wrapping paper of the
present invention. In this embodiment, the foldable wrapping paper comprises wrapping
paper body 100, wrapper paper body 100 comprises easy-to-tear folding lines 101. The
easy-to-tear folding lines 101 are provided with a plurality of perforations 102 extending
through the wrapping paper body 100, and the easy-to-tear folding lines 101 divide
the wrapping paper body 100 into a plurality of basic units110. The number and position
of the easy-to-tear folding lines 101 can be designed according to the area of the
wrapping paper body 100 and the area of a single basic unit 110.
[0020] The perforations 102 of the easy-to-tear folding lines 101 may be evenly or unevenly
distributed, but preferably evenly distributed. The perforations 102 may be circular
or elongated, and the number of perforations 102 per inch on the easy-to-tear folding
lines may be 12 or others, and the size of the perforations 102 along the easy-to-tear
folding lines may be 1 mm or other dimensions.
[0021] It should be understood that the size of the perforations 102 can be set as needed
to ensure a reliable connection and easy-to-tear construction between the basic units
110. The easy-to-tear folding lines 101 are easily torn, and the wrapping paper body
100 can be easily torn along the easy-to-tear folding lines 101 without the need of
tools such as scissors or a paper cutter. The basic units 110 are squares or rectangles
of the same size. However, the shapes of the basic units 110 may also be different,
but preferably the shapes be the same.
[0022] When in the folded state, the wrapping paper body 100 is folded along the easy-to-tear
folding lines 101 into a shape of one or more basic units 110, for example, can be
folded into one basic unit, two basic units, three basic units, and four basic units
or other number of basic units, for the convenience for storage.
[0023] Referring to Figure 2, in the unfolded state, one or more of the basic units 110
can be torn from the wrapping paper body 100 along the easy-to-tear folding line and
detached from the wrapping paper body 100, which the size of the torn portion sufficiently
meets the packaging needs of the packaged item 201, 202. The wrapping paper body 100
can be made of paper of 80 g/m
2 to 120 g/m
2. Alternatively, the wrapper body 100 can also be made of other conventionally suitable
papers. The number of basic units 110 on the wrapping paper body 100 can be set as
needed, such as an array of 4x6, 2x4, or the like.
[0024] Referring to Figure 3, the basic units 110 of the foldable wrapping paper of the
present invention can be used for packaging or as an origami, and also for a variety
of uses. Referring to Figure 4, the foldable wrapping paper of the present invention
can also be used as a poster 300.
[0025] The foldable wrapping paper of the present invention can be folded into a smaller
size and can be opened to a larger size. The entire sheet of foldable wrapping paper
has easy-to-tear folding lines 101, and the wrapping paper body 100 can be easily
torn into several sections as needed. The perforations and materials of the wrapping
paper body 100 are folded over each other such that wrinkles do not occur on the wrapping
paper body 100 when the sheets are opened to full size. To some extent, the wrapping
paper body 100 is like a full page of stamps, where the stamps are printed and joined
together by perforations that separate the stamps. However, if the stamp is folded
into a smaller size and then opened, the entire page of the stamps may not lay flat
because the edge of the folded perforations is somewhat pointed. Unlike stamps, this
wrapping paper body does not have sharp edges when opened to full size.
[0026] Existing wrapping papers typically need to be wrapped and stored in a tube or hung
on a shelf. This may occupy too much storage and display areas, especially for retail
stores and homes. However, the foldable wrapping paper of the present invention can
be folded to save storage space and to make the remaining paper tidier. Due to the
presence of easy-to-tear folding lines, the user does not create irregular shapes
that may be difficult to reuse later, all remaining basic units can still be used
to package other suitable objects or served as origami.
[0027] The embodiments of the present invention have been described above with reference
to the drawings, but the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments
described above, and the specific embodiments described above are merely illustrative
and not restrictive, and those skilled in the art in the light of the present invention
may make many forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as
