(54) A DEVICE FOR PROVIDING USERS WITH LARGER BREASTS CONFROTABLE LYING POSITIONS

(57) A cushion for providing users with relatively large breasts a relatively more comfortable lying position comprising: a head portion for receiving the head of a user; and a torso portion having a receptacle, between the head and torso portions, for receiving the breasts of a user.

Description

Field of Invention

[0001] The pictured embodiment of the invention provides a device for providing users with larger breasts comfortable lying positions.

Background of the Invention

[0002] Users with large breasts often experience discomfort when lying on a surface on their front side, i.e. the side having breasts. This is because the weight of the user is supported by the user's breasts, rather than the user's torso. This is particularly problematic for users with large breasts who wish to lie down on their front for an extended period of time without experiencing discomfort, for example whilst sunbathing at the beach.

[0003] The present invention aims to overcome or at least ameliorate one or more of the problems set out above.

Detailed Description of the Embodiment

[0005] With reference to the figures there is generally shown an embodiment of the device comprising a cushion device 99 having a first face and a second opposing face separated from the first face by a depth of material; and comprising a head portion 1 and a torso support 2, wherein the torso support 2 comprises two support arms 3 defining a hole 4, or receptacle, between the head portion and the torso support, which hole 4 is arranged to accept a user's breasts. The hole 4, or receptacle, extends entirely through the device 99, i.e. between the first and second face of the device 99.

[0006] In other embodiments, as illustrated by Figure 9, the arms 3 of the torso support 2 are not separated by a lacuna. Instead, the ends of the arms 3 are integrally connected, i.e. joined together, forming a single arm defining the hole 4 for receiving a user's breasts.

[0007] In other embodiments, the hole 4 may instead be a depression in the torso support 2, i.e. does not pass entirely between the first and second face of the device 99, for receiving the breasts of a user.

[0008] In this way the device of the present invention supports a woman's breasts, especially where the user has a larger bust, whilst sunbathing on their front, preventing discomfort of lying on the user's front.

[0009] When the device 99 is in use as intended, a user lies on their front on the device 99 such that the head portion 1 receives the user's head and the hole 4 receives the user's breasts. Figure 1 shows a user lying on the device 99 on their side. In this case, the device is only partially in use by a user, as the user's breasts are partially in the hole 4, and thus partially supported.

[0010] This is particularly for those with larger or augmented breasts, and enables the user to comfortably lie flat on their chest when sunbathing.

[0011] In some embodiments the arms are connected in use, for example, via strings attached to the ends of the arms 3 that can be tied together, or a latching arrangement between the arms 3.

[0012] In some embodiments as per the pictured embodiment the arms 3 are separate, for example each comprising a discontinuous member, connected at one end to the head portion 1 and free at the opposing end.

[0013] The free ends of the torso support are arranged to be directed at one another, wherein the torso support arms 3 may define a lacuna between the free ends that continues and opens to the hole 4.

[0014] In this way the arms may be arranged to accommodate central or local or global irregularities in the subordinate ground.

[0015] In particular the lacuna between the ends means the ends of the arms are not liable to push against each other.

[0016] In some embodiments the device is formed in a single part, for example comprising two pieces of a cover material 10, and a single internal filler material or cushion inner 33, which may be used to contain or enclose filler or material.

[0017] In the pictured embodiment the device comprises plural separate or separable parts, so as to enable the device to be modular and taken apart in use.

[0018] In this way for example the device may comprise a cover 10, a cushion 33 and a pocket 6, wherein the cushion 33 may be deflated and placed in the pocket 6, and the cover 10 may be displaced from the cushion 33 and also placed in the pocket 6 when the device 99 is in a second storage position.

[0019] In some embodiments as shown the pocket may comprise a fabric or material pouch 7 with a lanyard 8 and may be arranged to be engaged onto the cushion or cover in a first in use position such that the pocket may be used to store items when the device is in use. The pocket 6 comprises hook and loop strips 11 like Velcro (RTM) which allow the pouch 7 to be stuck down onto the face of the cover 10.

[0020] The cushion may be envisaged to be a closed or open cell foam structure material. In this way the device may be comfortable in use.

[0021] The cover material 10 may be envisaged to be a waterproof material, so as to prevent ingress to the filler material. In this way the device may be utilised on any number of surface. In particular for example wet surfaces on near water, such as at the beach.

[0022] In embodiments as the embodiment shown the device may comprise an inflatable cushion 33, or section, in part or whole. For example the cushion in the pictured embodiment may comprise an inflatable part. In this way the device may be rearranged from a first position to a second position, where the first position is larger than the second position, such that the second position aids transport or storage.

[0023] In other embodiments the device may comprise foldable, collapsible, concertina or coaxially telescopic sections.

[0024] In this way the device is able to fold up small to carry in luggage.

[0025] In the pictured embodiment the embodiment provides a portable inflatable breast and head support for a user to take on holiday.

[0026] The hole 4 provides where the user's breasts can sit to stop discomfort of squashing the breasts.

[0027] The embodiment consists a washable quick dry fabric cover material 1-.

[0028] The cover 10 protects the cushion 33, improves comfort for the user, and allows for branding/customisation opportunities.

[0029] The pocket 6 is used to store valuables whilst sunbathing. The pocket presents an opportunity to keep valuable collated and safe, whilst also making the device portable and compact.

[0030] The pocket 6 is wholly displaceable or detachable, and separate in the second position and comprises a hook and loop fastening opening. A lanyard 8 is used for hanging or carrying the pocket when in the second position and further embodiments may comprise a drawstring and toggle, to more securely close the pocket for transportation purposes in the second position.

[0031] In other embodiments, the pocket 6 is not detachable and is instead attached directly to the cover 10. In this case, the pocket does not have a lanyard 8 and the cushion device 99, i.e. the cushion 33 and detachable cover 10, is not able to be stored within the pocket 6 (referred to as the second position above). The pocket 6 may comprise a plurality of segments or compartments such that items stored within the pocket 6 can be separated by said segments or compartments.

[0032] After use, the cover may be envisaged to be folded in on itself so as to be stored in the pocket, similar to a raincoat.

[0033] In the pictured embodiment the cover comprises machine-washable neoprene. In other embodiments, the cover may be elastane or other such suitable elastic material.

[0034] The cover is machine washable and quick to dry and can be quickly and easily removed from the cushion 33 using a flap with hook and loop 9 such as Velcro (RTM) that runs along the top of the embodiment such that no sharp zippers or fiddly buttons are used. The use of hook and loop fastenings may improve the comfort of the device 99.

[0035] In other embodiments, the hook and loop fastenings referred to above may be replaced by other such suitable fastening means, such as zippers, that further prevent ingress of debris, such as sand, into the filler material of the device 99.

[0036] The cushion 33 is made from a transparent PVC. This avoids UV damage and ensures the embodiment is easy to inflate.

[0037] A product logo is displayed on the side of a cushion inflation valve 5 and digitally printed onto the neoprene cover of the embodiment. The cover 10 provides styling or branding on the area that provides the head portion 1.

[0038] The embodiment can be inflated with use of this plastic non-return valve 5 which is positioned at the top of the cushion, above the seam and away from the user's body in use.

[0039] In use:
The device is conveniently carried in the travel pocket or second position to a location.

[0040] The cover and cushion are taken out of the pocket and the cushion is inflated.

[0041] The cover is wrapped around the cushion if it isn't already and secured in place with the hook and loop fastening.

[0042] The travel pocket is flattened and attached to the underside of the device.

[0043] The hook and loop fastenings on the outer neoprene cover keep the pocket secure without the use of a zip.

[0044] After use, the embodiment can be deflated and folded back into the travel pocket.

[0045] The invention has been described by way of examples only and it will be appreciated that variation may be made to the above-mentioned embodiments without departing from the scope of invention.

[0046] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realised that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

[0047] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
