TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a tip applicator and a cosmetic application device
including the same.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Generally, make-up cosmetics are products which are applied on a body such as a face
or nails to lent a splash of color and make skin color beautiful after a basic product
is used, and which conceal skin defects which cannot be covered by the basic product.
The make-up cosmetics can be classified into base make-up products and point make-up
products.
[0003] The base make-up product may be a product which can unify the color of the skin of
an entire face or cover skin defects such as melasma and freckle, thereby making a
skin beautiful. The base make-up product includes, for example, make-up base, foundation,
powder and the like.
[0004] The point make-up product may be a product which locally highlights or shades lip,
eyebrow, nail color or the like to deliver a three-dimensional effect, thus expressing
his or her individuality. For example, the point make up product may include lip stick,
lip gloss, lip liner, eye liner, mascara and the like.
[0005] Particularly, the lip make-up, one of the point make-ups, is a make-up which applies
cosmetic on lips to make lips prominent, and various applications and expressions
are possible depending on cosmetic device for applying cosmetic as well as color of
cosmetic.
[0006] Important functions of a lip make-up cosmetic device include a capture function that
takes out cosmetic from a cosmetic container, and an application function that applies
the cosmetic taken out from the container on lips evenly.
[0007] The applicator of a lip make-up container according to the related art includes a
cavity for improving the capture function or accommodating coloring matter in an application
member of the applicator for holding separate tinting coloring matter, and however
there is a problem that it is very difficult to use it to locally apply cosmetic or
change lip lines because the shape and structure thereof are relatively massive.
[0008] Further, a front side, lateral sides and a rear side of the application member have
same configuration or material, and thus the capture amount, application amount and
feeling which the application member presents are similar, whereas disadvantageously
various use feelings cannot be generated according to usage purpose.
SUMMARY
[0009] The present invention is to address the above problems, and is to provide a tip applicator
and a cosmetic application device including the same which are capable of allowing
a user to feel various application feelings, and to use a suitable position of an
application portion according to use purpose.
[0010] In order to achieve the above object, the present disclosure provides a tip applicator
intended for capturing and applying cosmetic on skin, which includes an application
portion including an application surface for capturing and applying the cosmetic on
a skin of a user, the application surface being formed in a surface of the application
portion; a support portion which is connected to one side of the application portion
to support the application portion; and a capture amount control portion which is
formed on the application surface and changes a capture amount of the cosmetic captured
by the application surface.
[0011] Further, the capture amount control portion may include a capture recess formed in
at least a portion of the application surface in order to increase the capture amount
of the cosmetic.
[0012] Further, the capture recess may be formed to extend along a length direction of the
application portion from another side of the application portion to one side of the
application portion, and at least one of a depth and a width of the capture recess
varies along the length direction of the application portion.
[0013] Further, the capture recess may have a depth which becomes shallower or a width which
becomes narrower as it goes along a length direction from a distal end of the application
portion from the support portion to a proximal end of the application portion from
the support portion.
[0014] Further, the capture recess may be formed plurally, and the plurality of the capture
recesses may be disposed to be spaced apart from each other along a width direction
of the application portion.
[0015] Further, the capture recess may be formed to extend along a width direction of the
application portion from another side to one side, the capture recess may be formed
plurally, and the plurality of the capture recesses may have their own depths which
become shallower or which become narrower as it goes along a length direction of the
application portion.
[0016] Further, the capture recess may be formed in a shape of an ellipse or closed curve
with a center of the application portion as a center thereof along a side surface
of the application portion, and the capture recess is formed plurally and the plurality
of the capture recesses may have their own depths which become shallower or their
own widths which become narrower as it goes along a height direction of the application
portion.
[0017] Further, the support portion may include a first portion which comes into contact
with a contact surface formed on another surface of the application portion to support
the application portion; and a second portion which extends from the first portion
to support the first portion.
[0018] Further, a widthwise length of the application portion may gradually increase as
it goes along the length direction of the application portion from one end portion
to another end portion of the application portion, and the widthwise length may gradually
decrease as it goes from a first point, and wherein the first point may be formed
between the one end portion and the other end portion of the application portion.
[0019] Further, a sum of a thickness of the application portion and a thickness of the first
portion may gradually increase as it goes along the length direction of the application
portion from one end portion to another end portion of the application portion, and
the sum may gradually decrease as it goes from a second point, and wherein the second
point may be formed between the one end portion and the other end portion of the application
portion.
[0020] Further, the application portion may be integrally formed with or detachably coupled
with the first portion.
[0021] Further, the first portion may have a rigidity enough to prevent the application
portion from being bent.
[0022] Further, the support portion may be formed with a metal material, and the application
portion may be formed with a material having a flexibility.
[0023] Further, a horizontal cross section or a lateral cross section of the application
portion may have a streamlined shape or curved shape.
[0024] Further, the capture amount control portion may include a flocking surface which
is formed on a portion of the application surface, and on which a plurality of small
fibers are attached by a flocking process.
[0025] As another embodiment, the present disclosure provides a tip applicator for capturing
and applying cosmetic on skin, which includes an application portion including an
application surface for capturing and applying the cosmetic on a skin of a user, the
application surface being formed in a surface of the application portion; and a support
portion which is connected to one side of the application portion to support the application
portion, wherein the application portion is provided with at least two surfaces having
different capture amounts of the cosmetic.
[0026] Further, the at least two surfaces may be provided with a first surface formed along
a length direction from another side to one side of the application portion, and a
second surface connected to the first surface and having a capture amount different
from that of the first surface.
[0027] Further, the first surface may have a capture amount of the cosmetic greater than
that of the second surface.
[0028] Further, the first surface may have a capture amount of the cosmetic which gradually
decreases as it goes along a length direction from another side to one side of the
application portion.
[0029] Further, the application portion may have a greater widthwise length at a lower portion
side of the application portion proximal from the support portion than at an upper
portion side of the application portion distal from the support portion.
[0030] As another embodiment, the present disclosure provides a cosmetic application device
including a storage container in which a certain amount of cosmetic is accommodated;
and the tip applicator for capturing and applying the cosmetic on skin.
[0031] The tip applicator according to one embodiment of the disclosure and the cosmetic
application device including the same enable various application feelings depending
on the capture amount of the cosmetic, and the appropriate point of the application
portion to be used according to use purpose, thus embodying various functions such
as wide application of the cosmetic or fine change with one product.
[0032] Additionally, the tip applicator according to one embodiment of the present invention
and the cosmetic application device including the same can control the capture amount
of the cosmetic captured at once to enable overlay application without several times
of capturing, thus enhancing convenience in use.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0034] Hereinafter, in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, exemplary embodiments
of this disclosure will be described in detail such that the ordinarily skilled in
the art can implement them with easy. The disclosure can be implemented in various
different forms and the scope of the disclosure should not be construed as being limited
to the exemplary embodiments described herein. In the drawings, in order to describe
clearly the invention, parts not related to the description will be omitted, and like
reference signs will be given to like constitutional element throughout the disclosure.
[0035] Fig. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a cosmetic application device including
a tip applicator according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0036] Referring to Fig. 1, the cosmetic application device 1 according to one embodiment
of the present invention may include a storage container 10, a lid 20, cosmetic 30,
a brush rod 40 and the tip applicator 100.
[0037] With this configuration, the cosmetic application device 1 according to one embodiment
of the present invention can prevent emission of the cosmetic 30, and allow a user
to feel various application feelings depending on capture amount of the cosmetic 30.
[0038] Further, the cosmetic application device 1 enables overlay application by controlling
the capture amount without capturing the cosmetic 30 several times, so that the convenience
in use can be improved.
[0039] The cosmetic application device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention
may be for a cosmetic, in particular, a lip cosmetic such as lip gloss, and however
is not limited thereto, but may be an application device used for applying lip tint,
lip lock, lip oil, eye shadow, foundation, concealer and the like on skin.
[0040] Additionally, referring to Fig. 1, in one embodiment of the present invention, a
certain amount of the cosmetic 30 to be applied on the skin of a user can be stored
inside the storage container 10. Further, the storage container 10 may have a container
shape with one side opened. The opened side of the storage container 10 may serve
as an inlet through which the tip applicator 100 can be inserted into and extracted
from the inside of the storage container 10.
[0041] Further, the opened side of the storage container 10 may be provided with a wiper
12 which is disposed inside the storage container 10 and which, when the tip applicator
100 is extracted, wipes the cosmetic 30 attached to a support portion 110, an application
portion 130 and the brush rod 40 to be described below.
[0042] The wiper 12 may be provided with a wiping hole which is formed in a central portion
thereof, and which serves to wipe cosmetic attached to the application portion 130,
the support portion 110 and the brush rod 40. This is because a size of the wiping
hole 12a formed in the wiper 12 is different from the sizes of the application portion
130, the support portion 110 and the brush portion 40.
[0043] The cross-sectional area of the brush rod 40 and the sum of the cross-sectional areas
of the application portion 130 and the support portion 110 which pass through the
wiping hole 12a of the wiper 12 are greater than the cross-sectional area of the wiping
hole 12a, so that, when the brush rod 40, the application portion 130 and the support
portion 110 pass through the wiping hole 12a, the cosmetic 30 attached to the brush
rod 40, the application portion 130 and the support portion 110 can be wiped.
[0044] In this case, the difference between the cross-sectional areas of the brush rod 40
and the wiping hole 12a may be less than the difference between the sum of the cross-sectional
areas of the application portion 130 and the support portion 110 and the cross-sectional
area of the wiping hole 12a, so that, when the cosmetic attached to the brush rod
40, the application portion 130 and the support portion 110 is wiped, the amount of
the cosmetic 30 which is wiped can be controlled.
[0045] In one embodiment of the present invention, the lid 20 is detachably coupled to the
opened side of the storage container 10. Further, the tip applicator 100 according
to one embodiment of the present invention may be fixed at its one end via the brush
rod 40 or directly to the lid 20.
[0046] With this configuration, the lid 20 is detachably coupled to the storage container
10, so that, when the tip applicator 100 is not used, the lid 20 can prevent the emission
of the cosmetic from the storage container 10, and so that, when the tip applicator
100 is used, the tip applicator 100 can be extracted from the storage container 10
and apply the cosmetic 30 attached to the application portion 130 on a skin of a user.
[0047] Fig. 2 is a font view of the tip applicator according to one embodiment of the present
invention. Fig. 3 is a side view of the tip applicator according to one embodiment
of the present invention. Fig. 4 is a bottom view of the tip applicator according
to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0048] As used in the description hereinafter, a direction toward the application portion
130 from a second portion 114 of the support portion 110 in Fig. 2 is referred to
as an upward direction; a direction toward the second portion 114 from the application
portion 130 is referred to as a downward direction; a direction toward the application
portion 130 from the first portion 112 of the support portion 110 in Fig. 3 is referred
to as a forward direction; and a direction from the application portion 130 to the
first portion 112 is referred to as a rearward direction.
[0049] Referring to Fig. 2, the tip applicator 100 according to one embodiment of the present
invention, which is intended for applying the cosmetic 30 on keratin surface such
as lips or skin, includes the support portion 110, the application portion 130 and
a capture amount control portion 150.
[0050] With this configuration, the tip applicator 100 according to one embodiment of the
present invention can control capture amount of the cosmetic 30, so that various application
feelings can be realized, and by using a suitable point of the application portion
130 depending on the use purpose, various functions, such as wide application or fine
change can be performed with one product.
[0051] Further, the tip applicator 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention
can control the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 captured at once, so that overlay
application is possible without several captures, thus improving convenience in use.
[0052] In this case, in this embodiment of the present invention, the tip applicator 100
may be employed to the cosmetic application device 1 for a lip cosmetic, in particular,
lip gloss, and however, the invention is not limited thereto, but can be employed
to any beauty product as long as it is a type of product which can be applied on the
skin of a user by capturing cosmetic, such as eyeshadow or foundation.
[0053] On the other hand, in one embodiment of the present invention, the support portion
110 may be connected to one side of the application portion 130 to support the application
portion 130. The support portion 110 may be connected at its one end portion directly
to the lid 20 for covering the inlet of the storage container 10, or to the brush
rod 40 connected to the lid 20.
[0054] In this case, the support portion 110 may be formed with thermoplastic resin, metallic
material such as aluminum, gold or silver, or silicone material, and however the material
of the support portion 110 is not limited thereto, but may be formed with any material
as long as it has a rigidity enough to prevent excessive bending or deformation of
the application portion when the cosmetic is applied by the application portion 130.
[0055] Referring to Figs. 2 and 3, in one embodiment of the present invention, the support
portion 110 may be provided with a first portion 112 and a second portion 114. In
this case, the first portion 112 may be connected to the application portion 130 to
support the application portion 130, and the second portion 114 may be connected to
the first portion 112 to support the first portion 112.
[0056] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 112 may be connected
to the application portion 130 while abutting a another surface of the application
portion 130, for example, a contact surface 134 of the application portion 130 as
shown in Fig. 3. In this case, the application portion 130 may be integrally formed
with or detachably coupled to the first portion 112.
[0057] Referring to Figs. 2 and 3, the first portion 112 may be coupled wile abutting the
contact surface 134 of the application portion 130 at its one surface. In this case,
the one surface of the first portion 112 may have a shape corresponding to the contact
surface 134 of the application portion 130, so that the application portion 130 can
be seated on the one surface of the first portion 112. A horizontal cross section
of the first portion 112 may be formed to have a streamline shape similar to a horizontal
cross section of the application portion 130 to be described below.
[0058] Further, in one embodiment of the present invention, as shown in Fig. 3, a thickness
L3 of the first portion 112 may become thinner as it goes upward from the lower end
portion. With this configuration, in one embodiment of the present invention, there
may be provided a portion where the sum of a thickness L2 of the application portion
130 and the thickness L3 of the first portion 112 becomes thinner as it goes upward,
and in this case, when the tip applicator 100 is extracted, the capture amount of
the cosmetic 30 on the application portion 130 can be controlled by removing a great
amount of cosmetic 30 on the application portion 130 from a thick portion and removing
a small amount of cosmetic 30 on the application portion 130 from a thin portion.
[0059] On the other hand, the first portion 112 may have a rigidity enough to prevent the
bending of the application portion 130. Accordingly, when the cosmetic 30 captured
by or attached to the application portion 130 is applied on the skin of a user, the
bending or deformation of the application portion 130 can be prevented or minimized
as the application portion 130 is supported by the first portion 112.
[0060] Therefore, when the user applies the cosmetic 30 with the application portion 130,
the application portion 130 can be stably supported by the first portion 112, and
thus the user may feel a hard and stable application feeling via the application portion
130.
[0061] Further, in one embodiment of the present invention, in order to prevent the cosmetic
30 from being captured by the first portion 112 at the time of the extraction of the
tip applicator 100, the first portion 112 may be formed with or coated with a material
which relatively rarely captures the cosmetic 30 as opposed to the application portion
130. Further, the first portion 112 may be coated with or plated with a glossy material
having a luster feeling.
[0062] In one embodiment of the present invention, as the first portion 112 may be coated
with a material which relatively rarely captures or does not capture the cosmetic
30 compared with the application portion 130, unnecessary cosmetic 30 may not be conveyed
and serve to spread on a lip or the like the cosmetic 30 conveyed by the application
portion 130 to the lip or the like.
[0063] Referring to Fig. 3, in one embodiment of the present invention, the second portion
114 may be formed in a cylindrical shape, and however it is not limited thereto. In
this case, the second portion 114 may be connected to the lower end portion of the
first portion 112, and thus support the first portion 112, which in turn can serve
to support the application portion 130.
[0064] Further, similarly to the first portion 112, in order to prevent the cosmetic 30
from being captured by the second portion 114 at the time of the extraction of the
tip applicator 100, the second portion 114 may be formed with or coated with a material
which relatively rarely captures the cosmetic 30 as opposed to the application portion
130. Further, the second portion 114 may be coated with or plated with a glossy material
having a luster feeling.
[0065] On the other hand, in one embodiment of the present invention, the thickness L4 of
the second portion 114 may be less than the sum of the thickness L2 of the application
portion 130 and the thickness L3 of the first portion 112. In this case, in order
to prevent the cosmetic 30 from being captured by the second portion 114 at the time
of the extraction of the tip applicator 100, the second portion 114 may be formed
with a material which does not capture the cosmetic 30.
[0066] As described above, in one embodiment of the present invention, the first portion
112 may be coupled with the application portion 130 which is intended for coming into
contact with the skin of the user and applying the cosmetic 30 after capturing the
cosmetic 30.
[0067] In this case, the application portion 130 may have a material and surface characteristics
of smoothly applying the cosmetic 30 on the skin of the user at the time of coming
into contact with the skin of the user. Further, various known materials may be used
for the application portion 130 as long as they are a material, such as a fiber material,
sponge or the like, which has a flexibility and is capable of capturing a certain
amount of the cosmetic 30 and applying it on the skin of the user.
[0068] Referring to Fig. 3, in one embodiment of the present invention, the application
portion 130 may include the contact surface 134 and the application surface 132. In
this case, the application surface 132 is formed on one surface of the application
portion 130, for example, an outer side of the application portion 130 as shown in
Figs. 2 and 3, so as to come into contact with the skin of the user and apply the
cosmetic 30 on the skin of the user.
[0069] Further, in one embodiment of the present invention, the contact surface 134 may
be the other surface of the application portion 130, for example, a portion where
the application portion 130 abuts the first portion 112, so that the contact surface
134 of the application portion 130 may be coupled with the first portion while abutting
the first portion.
[0070] On the other hand, with reference to Fig. 2, when an end point of a lower end portion
of the application portion 130 is denoted by 'a', and an end point of an upper end
portion thereof is denoted by 'b', the horizontal cross section of the application
portion 130 has a width which may gradually increase as it goes from the end point
of the lower end portion a, have a maximum value at a first point X1 and decrease
as it goes from the first point X1 to the end point of the upper end portion b.
[0071] In this case, the first point X1 may be located closer to the end point of the lower
end portion a than to the end point of the upper end portion b. As described above,
the width of the application portion 130 varies, and thus the tip applicator 100 according
to one embodiment of the present invention can control the capture amount of the cosmetic
30 depending on the position in the application portion 130.
[0072] In one embodiment of the present invention, as the width of the lower portion of
the application portion 130 is greater than the width of the upper portion of the
application portion, most of the cosmetic 30 captured by the lower portion of the
application portion having a large width is wiped and small amount of the cosmetic
30 captured by the upper portion of the application portion having a small width is
removed when passing through the wiper 12 at the time of the extraction of the tip
applicator 100, and thus it is possible to control the capture amount of the cosmetic
30 depending on the position of the application portion 130.
[0073] On the other hand, referring to Fig. 3, in one embodiment of the present invention,
the thickness L2 of the application portion in the lateral cross section may gradually
increase as it goes from the end point of the lower end portion a, may have a maximum
value at a second point X2, and may gradually decrease as it goes from the second
point X2 to the end point of the upper end point b. In this case, the thickness L2
of the application portion 130 is a length from the contact surface 134 of the application
portion 130 to the application surface 132, and may mean a height of the application
portion 130.
[0074] With this configuration, the tip applicator 100 according to one embodiment of the
present invention can easily come into contact with a lip at both the upper end portion
and the second point X2 which are different from each other in terms of the thickness
of the application portion 130.
[0075] Further, in one embodiment of the present invention, the second point X2 may be located
closer to the end point of the lower end portion a of the application portion 130
than to the end point of the upper end portion b as shown in Fig. 3. As described
above, the thickness of the application portion 130 varies, and thus the tip applicator
100 according to one embodiment of the present invention can control the capture amount
of the cosmetic depending on the position in the application portion 130.
[0076] With this configuration, the sum of the thickness L2 of the application portion 130
and the thickness L3 of the first portion 112 becomes greater as it goes to the second
point X2, and becomes less as it goes to the end point of the upper end portion b,
so that, when passing through the wiping hole 12a of the wiper 12 at the time of the
extraction of the tip applicator 100, the largest amount of the cosmetic 30 can be
wiped from the second point X2 having the sum of the thicknesses of the application
portion 130 and the first portion 112 greater than the cross sectional area of the
wiping hole.
[0077] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first point X1 may be same as or
different from the second point X2, and in a case where the first point X1 is same
as the second point X2, the largest amount of the cosmetic 30 on the application portion
130 could be wiped from the first point X1 (= second point X2) when passing through
the wiping hole 12a of the wiper 12.
[0078] Referring to Figs. 2 and 3, in one embodiment of the present invention, the application
portion 130 may be convex forward and shaped like a whale's belly. As shown in Figs.
2 and 3, the application portion 130 may be formed in a streamlined or a curved shape
in its horizontal cross section and its lateral cross section, and however it is not
limited thereto.
[0079] On the other hand, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the application surface 132 of the
application portion 130 may be provided with the capture amount control portion 150,
and thus the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 captured by the application surface
can be controlled thereby. In this case, the capture amount control portion 150 can
allow the user of the tip applicator 100 according to one embodiment of the present
invention to feel various application feelings and to use an appropriate position
in the application portion 130 according to a use purpose.
[0080] Referring to Fig. 2, the capture amount control portion 150 may include a capture
recess 152 formed in at least a portion of the application surface 132 in order to
increase the capture amount of the cosmetic 30. Further, the capture recess 152 may
extend in the other side of the application portion 130, for example, as shown in
Fig. 2, along a length direction of the application portion 130 from an upper side
to a lower side of the application portion.
[0081] In this case, in one embodiment of the present invention, the capture recess 152
may extend from the upper end portion including the end point of the upper end portion
b of the application portion 130, or as shown in Fig. 2, may extend downward from
a portion spaced from the upper end portion. With this configuration, the tip applicator
100 according to one embodiment of the present invention can allow the user to feel
various application feelings depending on the position.
[0082] Referring to Figs. 2 and 4, in one embodiment of the present invention, the capture
recess 152 can control the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 captured by the capture
recess 152 by changing at least one of a depth d and a width w along the length of
the application portion 130.
[0083] Further, the capture recess 152 may cause the capture amount to decrease as it goes
downward from the upper end portion of the application portion 130 by gradually narrowing
the width w or gradually shallowing the depth d along the length of the application
portion 130. The capture recess 152 may be formed such that the depth becomes deeper
or the width becomes wider as it goes to the upper end portion of the application
portion 130. In this case, the depth d or the width w of the capture recess 152 may
be gradually shallowed or narrowed like gradation effect.
[0084] With this configuration, the tip applicator 100 according to one embodiment of the
present invention can cause the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 captured by the
application portion 130 to differ according to the position in the application portion
130, so that the user can feel various application feelings and use an appropriate
position in the application portion 130 according to the use purpose, thus performing
various functions such as wide application and fine change with one product.
[0085] Referring to Fig. 4, in one embodiment of the present invention, the cross section
of the capture recess 152 may have an approximately triangular shape whose width w
decreases as its depth d increases, but it is not limited thereto. In one embodiment
of the present invention, the cross section of the capture recess 152a may have an
approximately semi-circular shape as shown in Fig. 5A, or the cross section of the
capture recess 152b shown in Fig. 5B may have an approximately rectangular shape,
whereby the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 captured by the capture recesses 152a,
152b can be controlled.
[0086] On the other hand, in one embodiment of the present invention, the capture recess
152 may extend over a portion of an entire length of the application portion 130 from
an upper portion side to a lower portion side of the application portion 130 along
the length direction of the application portion 130. In this case, the capture recess
152 of the application portion 130 may not be formed in the lower portion of the application
portion 130 proximate to the support portion 110, so that less amount of the cosmetic
30 can be captured by the lower portion of the application portion 130 than by an
upper portion of the application portion 130 in which the capture recess 152 is formed,
and the user may cause the capture recess 152 formed in the upper portion of the application
portion 30 to capture the cosmetic 30, apply thus captured cosmetic 30 on a skin surface
of the user and then spread thus attached cosmetic on the skin surface using the lower
portion of the application portion 130.
[0087] Further, according to a first modification of a capture amount control portion 150a
of a tip applicator 200 in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention
as shown in Fig. 6, a capture recess 252 of the capture amount control portion 150a
may extend along the length direction of the application portion 130 over an entire
length of the application portion 130 from the upper portion side to the lower end
portion of the application portion 130.
[0088] On the other hand, referring to Figs. 2 and 6, in one embodiment of the present invention,
the capture recess 152, 252 may be formed plurally and the plurality of capture recesses
152, 252 are disposed to be spaced apart from each other in the width direction. In
this case, as the width of the application portion 130 is less at the upper portion
side than at the lower portion side, a density of the capture recesses 152, 252 per
unit area of the application portion is greater at the upper portion side than at
the lower portion side.
[0089] With this configuration, the tip applicator 100, 200 according to one embodiment
of the present invention can cause the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 to be greater
at the upper portion side than at the lower portion side, and thus various functions
can be realized with one product, such that the wide application can be performed
by the upper portion side of the application portion 130 while fine change can be
performed by the lower portion side whose capture amount is less than that of the
upper portion side.
[0090] Further, according to a second modification of a capture amount control portion 150b
of a tip applicator 300 in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention
as shown in Fig. 7, a capture recess 352 of the capture amount control portion 150b
may extend along the width direction of the application portion 130 within a portion
of an entire length of the application portion 130 from the upper portion side to
the lower portion side of the application portion 130.
[0091] Further, the capture recess 352 may be formed plurally and the plurality of capture
recesses 352 may be disposed to be spaced apart from each other in the length direction
of the application portion 130. In this case, the capture recess 352 can cause the
capture amount to decrease as it goes from the upper end portion to the lower end
portion of the application portion 130 by gradually shallowing the depth d or gradually
narrowing the width w along the length of the application portion 130.
[0092] In one embodiment of the present invention, as the capture recess 352a formed at
the upper portion side of the application portion 130 has a greater depth d and a
greater width w than the capture recess 352b formed at the lower portion side of the
application portion, the capture amount can increase as it goes from the lower end
portion to the upper end portion.
[0093] According to a third modification of a capture amount control portion 150c of a tip
applicator 400 in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention as shown
in Fig. 8, a capture recess 452 of the capture amount control portion 150c may be
formed in a shape of an ellipse or closed curve along a side surface of the application
portion. Further, the capture recess 452 may be formed plurally, and the plurality
of capture recesses 452a, 452b may be disposed to be spaced apart from each other
along a height (thickness) direction.
[0094] In this case, the higher the location of the capture recess 452 is, the less a depth
d of the capture recess 452 may be or the less a width w of the capture recess 452
may be as illustrated in Fig. 8, so that the capture amount becomes less as it goes
from periphery to a center.
[0095] In one embodiment of the present invention, as the capture recess 452a formed at
the periphery of the application portion 130 has a greater depth d and a greater width
w than the capture recess 452b formed proximate to the center of the application portion
130, the capture amount can increase as it goes from the periphery to the center.
[0096] The tip applicator 100, 200, 300, 400 according to one embodiment of the present
invention can cause the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 captured by the application
portion 130 to differ by means of the capture recess 152, 252, 352, 452 of the capture
amount control portion 150, 150a, 150b, 150c, so that the user can feel various application
feelings and use an appropriate position in the application portion 130 according
to the use purpose, thus realizing various functions such as wide application and
fine change with one product.
[0097] On the other hand, in order to increase the capture amount of the cosmetic 30, in
one embodiment, a portion of the capture amount control portion 150, 150a, 150b, 150c
may be provided with a flocking surface 154 formed in a portion of the application
surface 132.
[0098] Further, the flocking surface 154 may be formed in such a type that a plurality of
small fibers are attached to the application portion 130 through a flocking process,
said application portion being constituted with a molded product made by injecting
thermoplastic material.
[0099] With this configuration, as the tip applicator 100, 200, 300, 400 according to one
embodiment of the present invention is provided with the flocking surface 154 formed
on the application surface 132, it is possible to capture a greater amount of cosmetic
30 compared to in a case where only the application surface 132 captures the cosmetic
30.
[0100] On the other hand, referring to Fig. 2, according to another embodiment of the present
invention, the tip applicator 100, which is intended for applying cosmetic on keratin
surface of a user, such as lips or skin, may include the support portion 110, the
application portion 130 and at least two surfaces which have different capture amounts
of the cosmetic 30.
[0101] In this case, the application portion 130 may be provided with a first surface S1
and a second surface S2 which are formed on the application surface 132 and have different
capture amounts of the cosmetic 30. In this case, the first surface S1 may be formed
to extend along the length direction of the application portion 130 from the upper
end portion of the application portion to downward. Further, the second surface S2
may be connected to the first surface S1 and be formed to extend along the length
direction of the application portion from the first surface S1 to the lower end portion
of the application portion.
[0102] On the other hand, in another embodiment of the present invention, the first surface
S 1 may be different from the second surface S2 in terms of the capture amount, and
the capture amount of the first surface S1 may be greater than that of the second
surface S2. Further, the first surface S1 may have the capture amount of the cosmetic
which gradually decreases as it goes from the upper side of the tip applicator to
downward along the length direction of the application portion.
[0103] With this configuration, the tip applicator 100 according to another embodiment of
the present invention can allow the user to feel various application feelings according
to the capture amount, and to use a suitable position of the application portion 130
depending on the use purpose, so that various functions, such as wide application
or fine change can be performed with one product.
[0104] Further, the tip applicator 100 according to another embodiment of the present invention
can control the capture amount of the cosmetic 30 captured at once, so that overlay
application is possible without several captures, thus improving convenience in use.
[0105] In another embodiment of the present invention, as the support portion 110 and the
application portion 130 have the same configuration as in the above description, the
description for them will be omitted below.

the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments presented by this disclosure,
and the ordinarily skilled in the art who can understand the spirit of the invention
may easily conceive another embodiment by addition, change, removal, modification,
replacement or the like of constitutional element without departing from the scope
