[0001] The invention relates to a cooling system for shisha smoking instruments to provide
fresh smoke and eliminate the problem of warming.
[0002] The invention is especially related to a cooling system comprising at least one percolator
in order to ensure the cooling of the smoke in the long term.
The State of Art
[0003] Shisha is a smoking instrument that has become popular in most parts of the world.
It allows users to smoke tobacco via a bowl with a hose/tube connected thereon. The
hose/tube has a mouthpiece that the smoker uses to inhale. In addition to tobacco,
shisha can contain fruits and other components mixed with tobacco. A standard shisha
consists of various components such as bowl, mouthpiece, vase, hose/tube, valve, coal
and diffuser. The bowl has a function as a container holding the tobacco and coal.
The smoke is generated in the bowl with a heat source (coals). When user inhales with
the help of the mouthpiece, the warm smoke gets to the vase and is cooled down by
the liquid in it. After this cooling, the smoke passes through the mouthpiece to the
mouth of the user. Smoke fills into the lungs, and this causes a pressure change in
the bowl. Change in pressure pulls more air and thus, the smoking process continues.
If there would be no liquid or other cooling substance in the vase, the smoke were
too warm for a user to smoke.
[0004] The standard shisha mentioned brings with it some problems. A problem faced with
in the prior art is that the liquid in the vase gets warm and the cooling effect is
reduced after a while. So, the user has to inhale warm and unattractive smoke instead
of fresh smoke. For this reason, there is a need for improvements in the technical
field that will provide a cooling effect in the long term and enable fresh smoke inhalation.
[0005] As a result, an improvement needs to be made since current applications cannot solve
problems in the technical field.
The Purpose of the Invention
[0006] The invention aims to bring a solution for the negative aspects for shisha smoking
instruments stated above, constructed with the inspiration from the current state
of art.
[0007] The main purpose of the invention is to provide a cooling system for shisha smoking
instruments in order to eliminate the problems in the applications of the state of
art.
[0008] The other purpose of the invention is to enable long term cooling effect for shisha
smoking instruments and provide fresh smoke for users. With the help of the percolator,
the smoke coming from cap is cooled, and warning of smoke is constantly prevented.

will be better understood with the help of Figures given below and the detail explanation
referring those Figures, so the evaluation of the invention should be carried out
accordingly.

Detailed Explanation of the Invention
[0012] In this section, the preferred embodiments of cooling system and shisha smoking instrument
(S) subjected to the invention is clarified such that there is no limiting effect
for the sake of better understanding the subject.
[0013] The invention is related to a cooling system for shisha smoking instruments (S).
A shisha smoking instrument (S), having the cooling system, comprises at least one
tobacco bowl (not shown in Figures) that are responsible for generating smoke with
tobacco in it and with the help of the heat source (for example coals). At least one
tapping plate (2) is configured in the shisha smoking instrument (S). The tapping
plate (2) is a plate for tapping the coals as heat sources and using as an ash tray.
The other function of the tapping plate (2) is to protect the shisha smoking instrument
(S) in case of that the coals fall from the tobacco bowl.
[0014] A shisha smoking instrument (S) further comprises at least one adapter (1). The adapter
(1) ensures a tight connection between the tobacco bowl and a cap (3). The cap (3)
is located between tobacco bowl and percolator (4) and play an important role in forwarding
the smoke from the tobacco bowl to upper part of the percolator (4). In this sense,
the cap (3) provides a connection tobacco bowl and percolator (4). In one embodiment
of the invention, a sealing is used between the adapter (1) and the tobacco bowl depending
on the tobacco bowl used.
[0015] Percolator (4) is characterizing and most important part of the cooling system for
the shisha smoking instrument (S). The percolator (4) acts as a station for cooling
the smoke coming from the cap (3) to ensure the long-term cooling effect. The invention
preferably uses two percolators (4) in a cooling system. Alternatively, the smoke
coming out of one of the percolators (4) can passes into the vase (6) to provide further
cooling. The vase (6) is another part of the cooling system. The cooling effect of
the percolator (4) is provided by the cooling substances contained in the percolator
(4). In one embodiment of the invention, the percolator (4) contains liquid (water,
soft drinks, cooling liquid or something similar) and/or ice as the cooling substances.
Apart from the cooling substances, the percolator (4) can further comprise fruits,
different flavors in different forms or something similar. The number of the percolators
(4) affects the temperature of cooling substance, the temperature of smoke and smoking
time. The connection between the percolator (4) and the vase (6) can be made in different
ways. For example, the percolator (4) and the vase (6) can be positioned on top of
each other or side by side.
[0016] The percolator (4) comprises at least one channel (7). The channels (7) are located
between two successive percolators (4) and/or between the percolator (4) and the vase
(4). In this way, the smoke is ensured to circulate in all the cooling substances.
[0017] Vase (6) is a part of the cooling system. The final cooling of the smoke is taken
place in at least one vase (6). The vase (6) contains any liquids, ice or other cooling
substances with the aim of cooling the smoke. Some fruits or similar flavor substances
can be also filled in the vase (6) for a more intense flavor.
[0018] A shisha smoking instrument (S) further comprises at least one base (5) which performs
the function of a tight connection between the lowest part of the percolator (4) and
the vase (6). The base (5) includes at least one exhaust valve (5.1) and at least
one hose connection (5.2). The exhaust valve (5.1) is a valve for checking the condition
related to the smoke. If there is unattractive smoke in the cooling stations, it is
possible to blow it out. The exhaust valve (5.1) allows blowing out with the help
of the check valve system.
[0019] The hose and mouthpiece are required for the shisha smoking instrument (S) to smoke.
These parts are not shown in the figures. When the user inhales through the mouthpiece,
the smoke passes through the hose and reaches the mouth of the user. The connection
of the hose and base (5) is provided by at least one hose connection (5.2).

of art, the invention is a cooling system for shisha smoking instruments (S), comprising:

wherein the percolator (4) and the vase (6) are at least partially filled with cooling
substance to cool the smoke,
each percolator (4) comprises at least one channel (7) for circulating the smoke in
cooling substances and
at least one of the percolators (4) is connected to the vase (6).
1. A cooling system for shisha smoking instruments (S), comprising:
• At least one vase (6),
• At least one percolator (4),
wherein the percolator (4) and the vase (6) are at least partially filled with cooling
substance to cool the smoke,
each percolator (4) comprises at least one channel (7) for circulating the smoke in
cooling substances and
at least one of the percolators (4) is connected to the vase (6).
2. A cooling system according to Claim 1, wherein the cooling substance is selected from
the groups of any liquid, ice, fruits and any flavor substances.
3. A cooling system according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, wherein the number of percolators
(4) is two.
4. A cooling system according to any preceding claim, wherein the channels (7) are located
between two successive percolators (4) and/or between the percolator (4) and the vase
(4)
5. A cooling system according to any preceding claim, comprises at least one base (5)
for providing a connection between the lowest part of the percolator (4) and the vase
(6).
6. A shisha smoking instrument (S) comprises a cooling system according to Claim 1.
7. A shisha smoking instrument (S) according to Claim 6, comprises at least one tobacco
bowl for generating the smoke with the help of a heat source.
8. A shisha smoking instrument (S) according to any preceding claim, comprises at least
one cap (3) for forwarding the smoke from the tobacco bowl to upper part of the percolator
(4).
9. A shisha smoking instrument (S) according to any preceding claim, comprises at least
one adapter (1) for providing a connection between the tobacco bowl and a cap (3).
10. A shisha smoking instrument (S) according to Claim 9, comprises at least one sealing
between the adapter (1) and the tobacco bowl.
11. A shisha smoking instrument (S) according to any preceding claim, comprises a hose
and a mouthpiece connected thereto for inhaling the smoke.
12. A shisha smoking instrument (S) according to any preceding claim, comprises at least
one hose connection (5.2) between base (5) and hose.
13. A shisha smoking instrument (S) according to any preceding claim, comprises at least
one exhaust valve (5.1) for checking the condition of the smoke and blowing it out.
