(57) The present invention relates to a fire protection device with, in each room, an extinguishing unit (1, 2, 3) with an extinguishing agent reservoir (1) activatable by a detecting means; an extinguishing agent with at least one additive that comprises a plant extract and/or a mineral salt of an acid, preferably extinguishing foam; a fire protection device comprising an actuator (10)-(40) in order to break a breakable activation or detection element (2a) of an extinguishing or alarm device and/or a sensor unit assembled by selecting one or more desired sensor modules from a number of available sensor modules, and/or a sensor designed to detect the presence of substances in the air and to evaluate the harmfulness thereof.
