(54) A FURNISHING ELEMENT

(57) A furnishing element unusually capable of providing simultaneous access to several compartments, comprising at least one support structure (2), wherein said support structure (2) delimits at least one first and at least one second compartment (3, 4) having a first opening (5) which opens at least in one first direction (X) and a second opening (6) which opens at least in one second direction (Y) which is orthogonal to said first direction (X), wherein said furnishing element (1) further comprises an angular door (7) which is formed by a first panel (8) and an integral and orthogonal second panel (9), and wherein said angle door (7) is movably connected to said support structure (2) so that when said angular door (7) is in the closed position, said angular door (7) at least partially faces, with said first panel (8), said first opening (5), so as to at least partially close said first opening (5), and at least partially faces, with said second panel (9), said second opening (6), so as to at least partially close said second opening (6), and so that with a single movement, said angular door (7) at least partially opens or closes both said at least one first opening (5) of said first compartment (3) and said at least one second opening (6) of said at least one second compartment (4).

Description

. Field of the invention

[0001] . The present invention relates to a furnishing element.

[0002] . In particular, the present invention relates to a furnishing element which comprises at least one support structure which delimits a first and a second compartment forming at least one first opening which opens at least into one first direction and at least one second opening which opens into at least one second direction which is orthogonal to said first direction.

. Background art

[0003] . One of the main features in a furnishing element is the ability to conveniently house a large number of objects to be found and taken. This feature must necessarily coexist with the demand for increasingly linear and clean aesthetics in which the furnishing elements conceal the compartments and use openings thereof with doors integrated as much as possible in the support structure of the furnishing element.

[0004] . Therefore, known furnishing elements comprise several compartments, even very large ones, which house drawers, boxes or shelves for storing several objects. Each compartment is closed by a door which conceals it when not used.

[0005] . As mentioned therefore, a first felt need of the furnishing elements is to comprise compartments capable of providing or containing large containers.

[0006] . However, the contrasting need to ensure the maximum visibility and immediate accessibility to the objects contained in the furnishing element is strongly felt.

[0007] . This second and contrasting need is very limited where deep or very large compartments are used.

[0008] . Therefore, increasing the capacity of the compartments results in worsening the visibility and accessibility of the objects stored therein.

[0009] . Therefore, there remains a strong need to conceal the compartments of a furnishing element and simultaneously allow the visibility of the objects contained in these compartments and an easy usability thereof.

. Solution

[0010] . It is an object of the present invention to obviate the drawbacks of the known art and provide a solution to the needs complained of with reference to the prior art.

[0011] . These and other objects are achieved by a furnishing element according to claim 1.

[0012] . Some advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0013] . The suggested solutions may be applied to furnishing elements intended to form a kitchen or a bathroom or any other intended use.

[0014] . By virtue of the suggested solutions, increased capacity compartments may be used, thus allowing a plurality of access openings which, even with the capacity volume being equal, make the objects more immediately visible and usable, while keeping the required function of concealing the compartments when not in use.

. Drawings

[0015] . Further features and advantages of the furnishing element will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments thereof, given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
  • Figure 1 is an axonometric view of a furnishing element, in which an angular door is in closed position;
  • Figure 2 is an axonometric view of the furnishing element in Figure 1, in which the angular door is in open position;
  • Figure 3 shows an axonometric view of an enlargement of Figure 2, in which the angular door and the panels associated therewith are depicted transparent to show the details of the furnishing element;
  • Figures 4 and 5 show an axonometric view of the end portion of a furnishing element with which an angular door shown in open position is associated;
