TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] An aspect of the present invention relates to a yarn joining processing device and
a yarn feeding device.
BACKGROUND
[0002] A false-twist texturing machine is known in which a plurality of synthetic yarns
fed from yarn feeding packages are false-twist textured and the processed synthetic
yarn is wound by a winding device to form a winding package. For example, Patent Literature
1 (
Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. H07-68010) discloses a false-twist texturing machine including a yarn feeding stand which holds
a plurality of yarn feeding packages and a false-twist texturing device which false-twists
yarns fed from the yarn feeding packages. In such a yarn feeding stand, a yarn joining
process (tail joining process) which connects the synthetic yarn of the yarn feeding
package supported by one peg to the synthetic yarn of the yarn feeding package supported
by the other peg is performed. Accordingly, since the synthetic yarn is fed from the
other yarn feeding package even when the synthetic yarn of one yarn feeding package
disappears, the synthetic yarn can be continuously fed to the false-twist texturing
device.
[0003] In the yarn joining process, yarns are respectively drawn out from two yarn feeding
packages and these yarns are connected by a splicer. At the time of completion of
this connection, the yarn portion connecting the yarn feeding packages is in a considerably
loosened state. If one of the yarn feeding packages is emptied in this state, a local
load may be applied to a part of the yarn portion when the yarn portion loosened between
the packages is sent toward a processing portion or the yarn portion may come into
contact with peripheral parts to cause yarn damage or breakage. In order to avoid
such problems, an operator locks the yarn portion between the packages to a locking
portion provided at a predetermined position of a yarn feeding stand after the yarn
connection using the splicer and removes slack by turning one or both yarn feeding
packages in the yarn drawing direction in the locked state.
[0004] Automation of such a series of operations, that is, a series of operations including
a yarn joining process of respectively drawing out yarns from two yarn feeding packages,
guiding and setting the yarns to the splicer, and connecting the yarns by the splicer
and a yarn hooking process of locking the connected yarn to the locking portion has
been examined. However, in order to move the yarn precisely to be reliably locked
to the locking portion, the yarn needs to be strongly gripped in a holding portion
not to be movable. However, in this case, the gripped yarn portion is damaged. On
the other hand, for example, when the yarn is held on a hook not to damage the yarn,
irregular slack may occur in the yarn. Accordingly, it is difficult to precisely move
a yarn end and it is easy to fail to hook the yarn on the locking portion.
SUMMARY
[0005] Here, an object of an aspect of the present invention is to provide a yarn joining
processing device and a yarn feeding device capable of realizing automation of a series
of operations including a yarn joining process and a yarn hooking process while maintaining
both yarn quality and improving operation accuracy.
[0006] A yarn joining processing device according to an aspect of the present invention
is a yarn joining processing device for connecting a yarn end of a first yarn feeding
package mounted on a yarn feeding stand to a yarn end of a second yarn feeding package
and locking a connected yarn to at least one locking portion provided in the yarn
feeding stand, the yarn joining processing device including: a suction holding portion
which sucks the yarn and holds the yarn; a moving portion which moves the suction
holding portion; a connecting portion which connects the yarn end of the first yarn
feeding package to the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package; and a control
unit which controls the suction holding portion, the moving portion, and the connecting
portion, wherein the control unit controls the suction holding portion, the moving
portion, and the connecting portion so as to perform a yarn joining process including
a first setting operation of holding the yarn end of the first yarn feeding package
by the suction holding portion and moving the suction holding portion by the moving
portion so as to set the yarn end of the first yarn feeding package to the connecting
portion, a second setting operation of holding the yarn end of the second yarn feeding
package by the suction holding portion and moving the suction holding portion by the
moving portion so as to set the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package to the
connecting portion, and a connecting operation of connecting the yarn end of the first
yarn feeding package to the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package by the connecting
portion after the first setting operation and the second setting operation, and wherein
the control unit controls the suction holding portion and the moving portion to perform
a yarn hooking process including at least one of a first yarn hooking operation of
holding the yarn end of the first yarn feeding package by the suction holding portion
and moving the suction holding portion by the moving portion so as to lock the yarn
of the first yarn feeding package to the locking portion before the first setting
operation and a second yarn hooking operation of holding the yarn end of the second
yarn feeding package by the suction holding portion and moving the suction holding
portion by the moving portion so as to lock the yarn of the second yarn feeding package
is locked to the locking portion before the second setting operation.
[0007] The yarn end of the first yarn feeding package and the yarn end of the second yarn
feeding package mentioned here each mean not only a tip of the yarn but also a yarn
portion having a predetermined length with the tip as a base point. Further, the yarn
feeding stand is provided in a yarn feeding portion of a yarn texturing device and
supports the plurality of yarn feeding packages. The yarn fed to the processing portion
of the yarn texturing device is wound on the yarn feeding package. In the yarn joining
processing device with this configuration, the yarn is hooked to the locking portion
before being connected, unlike the conventional sequence of operations performed by
the operator. Then, a suction force is constantly applied in the suction direction
to each of the yarns of the first yarn feeding package and the second yarn feeding
package while being held by the suction holding portion, and thus tension is applied
to each yarn portion from the yarn feeding package to the suction holding portion.
Since the moving portion can move the yarn end in a taut state, the yarn can be moved
more precisely than in a case where the yarn end of irregularly loosened yarn is moved,
thus enabling the yarn to be hooked to the locking portion with high accuracy. Further,
the yarn is held by the suction, and thus damage caused to the yarn when gripping
does not occur. Additionally, in a case of sucking and holding yarn in which the yarn
end of the first yarn feeding package and the yarn end of the second yarn feeding
package are connected, the yarn is sucked by the suction holding portion in a partially
bent state. However, in this configuration, the yarn end of each of the first yarn
feeding package and the second yarn feeding package is sucked and held, and thus bending
such as that described above does not occur. Thus, the yarn is not damaged even when
held by the suction holding portion. As a result, it is possible to realize automation
of a series of operations including a yarn joining process and a yarn hooking process
while maintaining both yarn quality and improving operation accuracy.

the locking portion may include a first locking portion and a second locking portion,
the first yarn hooking operation is an operation of moving the suction holding portion
so as to lock the yarn of the first yarn feeding package to the first locking portion,
and the second yarn hooking operation is an operation of moving the suction holding
portion so as to lock the yarn of the second yarn feeding package to the second locking
portion.
[0009] In the yarn joining processing device with this configuration, an effect similar
to that described above can be obtained even when the yarn feeding stand is provided
with the first locking portion hooking the yarn of the first yarn feeding package
and the second locking portion hooking the yarn of the second yarn feeding package.
Particularly, when the yarn of the first yarn feeding package is locked to the first
locking portion and the yarn of the second yarn feeding package is locked to the second
locking portion, a more stable locked state can be obtained.

of the second yarn feeding package to the second outer layer side locking portion,
the first setting operation when the yarn is unwound from the outer layer side of
the first yarn feeding package may be an operation of holding the yarn end on the
inner layer side of the first yarn feeding package by the suction holding portion
and moving the suction holding portion by the moving portion so as to set the yarn
end on the inner layer side of the first yarn feeding package to the connecting portion,
the second setting operation when the yarn is unwound from the outer layer side of
the first yarn feeding package may be an operation of holding the yarn end on the
outer layer side of the second yarn feeding package by the suction holding portion
and moving the suction holding portion by the moving portion so as to set the yarn
end on the outer layer side of the second yarn feeding package to the connecting portion,
the connecting operation when the yarn is unwound from the outer layer side of the
first yarn feeding package may be an operation of connecting the yarn end on the inner
layer side of the first yarn feeding package to the yarn end on the outer layer side

the outer layer side of the second yarn feeding package may be an operation of connecting
the yarn end on the outer layer side of the first yarn feeding package to the yarn
end on the inner layer side of the second yarn feeding package.

to that described above can be obtained even when the yarn feeding stand is provided
with the locking portions respectively corresponding to the yarn on the inner layer
side of the first yarn feeding package, the yarn on the outer layer side of the first

package, and the yarn on the outer layer side of the second yarn feeding package.
Particularly, the stability of the locked state at each locking portion can be further
improved in the case of locking the yarn of the first yarn feeding package to the
first inner layer side locking portion and locking the yarn of the second yarn feeding
package to the second outer layer side locking portion when the yarn is unwound from
the outer layer side of the first yarn feeding package, and in the case of locking
the yarn of the first yarn feeding package to the first outer layer side locking portion
and locking the yarn of the second yarn feeding package to the second inner layer
side locking portion when the yarn is unwound from the outer layer side of the second
yarn feeding package.
[0012] A yarn feeding device according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a
yarn feeding stand which includes first mounting portions each used to mount a first
yarn feeding package thereon, second mounting portions each used to mount a second
yarn feeding package thereon, and locking portions each locking a yarn; and a yarn
joining processing device which connects a yarn end of the first yarn feeding package
mounted on each of the first mounting portions to a yarn end of the second yarn feeding
package mounted on each of the second mounting portions and locks the connected yarn
to each of the locking portions, wherein the locking portions each include at least
one first locking portion which locks the yarn drawn out of the first yarn feeding
package and at least one second locking portion which locks the yarn drawn out of
the second yarn feeding package, wherein the yarn joining processing device includes
suction holding portions which each hold the yarn by sucking the yarn, moving portions
which each move the suction holding portion, connecting portions which each connect
the yarn end of the first yarn feeding package to the yarn end of the second yarn
feeding package, and a control unit which controls the connecting portions, the suction
holding portions, and the moving portions, wherein the control unit controls the suction
holding portions, the moving portions, and the connecting portions so as to perform
a yarn joining process including a first setting operation of holding the yarn end
of the first yarn feeding package by each of the suction holding portions and moving
each of the suction holding portions by each of the moving portions so as to set the
yarn end of the first yarn feeding package to each of the connecting portions, a second
setting operation of holding the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package by each
of the suction holding portions and moving each of the suction holding portions by
each of the moving portions so as to set the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package
to each of the connecting portions, and a connecting operation of connecting the yarn
end of the first yarn feeding package to the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package
by each of the connecting portions after the first setting operation and the second
setting operation, and the control unit controls each of the suction holding portions
and each of the moving portions to perform a yarn hooking process including at least
one of a first yarn hooking operation of holding the yarn end of the first yarn feeding
package by each of the suction holding portions and moving each of the suction holding
portions by each of the moving portions so as to lock the yarn of the first yarn feeding
package to the first locking portion before the first setting operation and a second
yarn hooking operation of holding the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package
by each of the suction holding portions and moving each of the suction holding portions
by each of the moving portions so as to lock the yarn of the second yarn feeding package
to the second locking portion before the second setting operation.
[0013] In the yarn feeding device with this configuration, the yarn is hooked before being
connected, unlike the conventional sequence of operations performed by the operator.

the yarn is sucked by the suction holding portion while being partially bent. However,
in this configuration, the yarn end of each of the first yarn feeding package and
the second yarn feeding package is sucked, and thus bending such as that described
above does not occur. Thus, the yarn is not damaged even when held by the suction
holding portion.
[0014] Further, in the yarn feeding device with this configuration, the yarn feeding stand
is provided with the first locking portion corresponding to the first yarn feeding
package and the second locking portion corresponding to the second yarn feeding package.
Accordingly, the first locking portion and the second locking portion can be provided
in more appropriate positions and orientations as compared with the locking portion
used for hooking the yarn of the first yarn feeding package and hooking the yarn of
the second yarn feeding package. As a result, it is possible to easily hook the yarn
and to prevent the hooked yarn from coming off.

the locking portion when the yarn feeding package is rotated to remove slack after
the yarn joining operation can be distributed to each of the first locking portion
and the second locking portion. Therefore, it is possible to more effectively prevent
the yarn from coming off from each of the first locking portion and the second locking
portion. Further, the locked state of the yarn connecting the yarn feeding packages
can be maintained even when the yarn comes off from one of the first locking portion
and the second locking portion, the yarn is locked to the other of the first locking
portion and the second locking portion.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0023] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in
detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the description of the drawings,
the same or equivalent elements are designated by the same reference numerals, and
duplicate description will be omitted.
[0024] A yarn feeding device 100 of an embodiment includes, as shown in FIG. 1, a creel
stand (yarn feeding stand) 20 and a yarn joining processing device 9A. The creel stand
20 is provided in a false-twist texturing machine 1. The yarn joining processing device
9A of an embodiment is mounted on a package exchange device 9. The yarn joining processing
device 9A includes a yarn joining device 60 and a control unit 94 which will be described
in detail in the rear stage (see FIGS. 1 and 11). In the following description, the
"Z direction" shown in the drawing is the vertical direction (up and down direction),
the "X direction" is the horizontal direction, and the "Y direction" is the horizontal
direction orthogonal to the "X direction" and is also the direction orthogonal to
both the X direction and the Z direction.
[0025] The false-twist texturing machine 1 shown in FIG. 1 manufactures a winding package
P2 by processing a yarn (synthetic yarn) Y supplied from a plurality of yarn feeding
packages P1. The yarn Y is, for example, a synthetic yarn made of thermoplastic synthetic
fibers such as polyester and polyamide. The yarn feeding package P1 is formed by winding
a partially oriented yarn (POY) on a yarn feeding bobbin B1. The winding package P2
is formed by winding a draw textured yarn (DTY) on a winding bobbin B2. That is, the
false-twist texturing machine 1 processes the yarn Y which is the partially oriented
yarn to generate the draw textured yarn.
[0026] As shown in FIG. 2, an adapter 8 is attached to the yarn feeding package P1. The
adapter 8 holds the yarn Y. The adapter 8 includes an attachment portion 81, a first
holding portion 82, and a second holding portion 83. The attachment portion 81 is
attached to the yarn feeding bobbin B1 of the yarn feeding package P1 to be rotatable
synchronously. The attachment portion 81 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The attachment
portion 81 is mounted on an end portion of the yarn feeding bobbin B1 protruding from
the side surface of the yarn feeding package P1.
[0027] The first holding portion 82 holds the yarn end of the yarn Y on the outer layer
side (mouth yarn side) of the yarn feeding package P1 (hereinafter, the yarn end of
the yarn Y on the outer layer side is referred to as a first yarn end Y1). The first
holding portion 82 is provided in the attachment portion 81. The first holding portion
82 includes a first arm 821, a first gripper 822, and a first yarn guide 823. The
first arm 821 is fixed to the side surface of the attachment portion 81 at the base
end side and extends along the radial direction of the attachment portion 81. The

feeding package (P11) mounted on each of the first mounting portions (25) to a yarn
end of the second yarn feeding package (P12) mounted on each of the second mounting
portions (25) and locks the connected yarn (Y) to each of the locking portions (29),
wherein the locking portions (29) each include at least one first locking portion
(29A) which locks the yarn (Y) drawn out of the first yarn feeding package (P11) and
at least one second locking portion (29B) which locks the yarn (Y) drawn out of the
second yarn feeding package (P12),
wherein the yarn joining processing device (9A) includes suction holding portions
(614) which each hold the yarn (Y) by sucking the yarn (Y), moving portions (612)
which each move the suction holding portion (614), connecting portions (64) which
each connect the yarn end of the first yarn feeding package (P11) to the yarn end
of the second yarn feeding package (P12), and a control unit (94) which controls the
connecting portions (64), the suction holding portions (614), and the moving portions
(612),
wherein the control unit (94) controls the suction holding portions (614), the moving

the yarn (Y) of the first yarn feeding package (P11) to the first locking portion
(29A) before the first setting operation and a second yarn hooking operation of holding
the yarn end of the second yarn feeding package (P12) by each of the suction holding
portions (614) and moving each of the suction holding portions (614) by each of the
moving portions (612) so as to lock the yarn (Y) of the second yarn feeding package
(P12) to the second locking portion (29B) before the second setting operation.

wherein the first locking portion (29A) is disposed on the side of each of the first
mounting portions (25) in relation to the center between the first mounting portions
