BACKGROUND
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of poles, and in particular
to a walking pole with an adjustable handheld position.
Description of Related Art
[0002] Walking poles are mainly used to assist in walking and provide support. Existing
walking poles generally comprise a pole body and a handle. When a wrist strap is fixed
on the handle, the wrist strap is wound around the wrist when in use, avoiding the
crane from falling off accidentally during climbing or skiing. Since the wrist strap
is wound around the wrist, it is troublesome to release the wrist strap when in use.
Therefore, detachable wrist straps emerge at present, where the wrist straps and the
poles are connected through buckles and can be quickly detached from each other.
[0003] However, the position of the wrist strap for existing poles is fixed and cannot be
adjusted, so there are some deficiencies in use, particularly when the pole body is
a single pole. Since the length of the pole cannot be adjusted, the pole cannot be
adjusted for users with different heights if the position of the wrist strap is also
fixed.
[0004] After searching, a Chinese Patent Application
CN203676336U (patent No.:
CN201320854150.X) disclosed a handle for a pole, wherein the handle comprise s a handle body and a
buckle; a positioning chute for receiving the buckle is longitudinally formed on the
rear side of the upper end portion of the handle body; a locking mechanism is disposed
in the middle portion of the upper end portion of the handle body; an accommodating
chamber for receiving the locking mechanism is formed in the middle portion of the
upper end portion of the handle body; the middle and lower portions of the accommodating
chamber are communicated with the positioning chute; the locking mechanism comprises
a driving button; a strip-shaped slot for allowing a locking switch to be accommodated
and rotated therein is longitudinally formed in the middle portion of the driving
button; the middle-upper section of the locking switch is obliquely formed with a
strip-shaped hole, and is connected to the strip-shaped slot through a first pin shaft;
the head of the locking switch extends out the strip-shaped slot to be hinged to the
upper end of the handle body through a second pin shaft; and, a spring is supported
between the bottom of the driving button and the accommodating chamber. With this
structure, the wrist strap can be quickly detached from the handle, but the position
of the wrist strap is also fixed, so that the wrist strap cannot be adjusted.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
[0017] The present invention will be further described in detail below by embodiments with
reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0018] Figs. 1-8 show a preferred embodiment of the waling pole of the present invention.
The walking pole comprises a pole body 1 having a top and a bottom, a handle 2 having
an upper portion and a bottom, a mitten 3 and a buckle 4 connected to the mitten 3.
The bottom of the handle 2 is connected with the top of the pole body 1; a plurality
of holes 21 for receiving the buckle 4 are disposed at identical intervals along the
lengthwise of the handle 2 on the surface of the upper portion of the handle 2; the
buckle 4 is capable of being positioned in the corresponding hole 21 in a different
position, so that the mitten 3 is detachably connected to the handle 2 and the position
of the mitten 3 is capable of being adjusted.
[0019] Specifically, the pole body 1 is a single pole, the handle 2 is sleeved on the upper
end of the pole body 1 by dimensional fitting, an upper end of the handle 2 is bent
backward, and the holes 21 are disposed on the front side surface of the handle 2.
In this embodiment, three holes 21 are uniformly distributed at identical intervals.
The buckle 4 comprises a plate 41, a collar 42 for connecting with the mitten 3 and
a blocking head 43 for inserting into the holes 21, the collar 42 and the blocking
head 43 are respectively located at the left side and the right side of the plate
41; the mitten 3 has a connecting band 31 at the side of the mitten 3 for binding
with the collar 42. The blocking head 43 is shaped as a flat plate, that is, a large
part of the plate. The handle 2 is hollow with an inner chamber 23, and has a circular
recess 22 corresponding to the position of each hole 21, each recess 22 is fitted
with the plate 41 of the buckle 4 for receiving the plate 41; each hole 21 is located
in the center of the corresponding recess 22; each hole 21 is flat fitted with the
blocking head 43, and communicates with the inner chamber 23 of the handle 2. The
diameter of the circular hole of the inner chamber 23 of the handle is generally greater
than the width of the flat hole. The buckle 4 is positioned after the blocking head
43 inserts into the corresponding hole 21, then rotated at 90 degrees and the plate
41 resists against the handle 2 inside the corresponding recess 22. Meanwhile, the
blocking head 43 is transversely clamped into the inner side surface of the hole 21
to realize fastening. When it is necessary to detach the buckle 4, the blocking head
43 of the buckle 4 can be detached from the hole 21 by rotating the blocking head
43 forward or backward at 90 degrees to align with the hole 21 again. An anti-drop
rubber band 5 is connected to the mitten 3, and the anti-drop rubber band 5 is sleeved
on the handle 2 and connected to the connecting band 31 of the mitten 3.
[0020] The connecting band 31 on the side surface of the mitten 3 has two ends, one end
of the connecting band 31 is fixed with the mitten 3, while the other end of the connecting
band 31 passes through the anti-drop rubber band 5 and the collar 42 to be fixedly
connected to the mitten 3; or the connecting band 31 has two ends, one end of the
connecting band 31 is fixed with the mitten 3, while the other end of the connecting
band 31 passes through the anti-drop rubber band 5 and the collar 42 to be detachably
connected to the mitten 3. For example, the detachable connection of the connecting
band 31 to the mitten 3 is a connection using female and male buckles or using snaps,
as shown in Figs. 7, 8. The anti-drop rubber band 5 is sleeved on the handle 2, so
that the buckle 4 can be prevented from dropping.
[0021] The bottom of the pole body 1 is in order connected to a plastic tip 6 having a top
and a bottom, a circular plate 7, a tungsten steel tip 8 and a foot sleeve 9; the
top of the plastic tip 6 is fixed to the bottom of the pole body 1 by dimensional
fitting, the circular plate 7 is sleeved outside the plastic tip 6 through threaded
connection, and the tungsten steel tip 8 is inserted at the bottom of the plastic
tip 6 and fixed by the foot sleeve 9.
[0022] When in use, the holes 21 at different heights can be selected as required, and the
blocking head 43 of the buckle 4 is clamped and fixed to the hole, so that the position
of the mitten 3 is adjusted to realize the adjustment of the handheld position.
[0023] The detailed description is given by taking a single pole as an example in this embodiment,
but it can be applied to multiple poles or telescopic walking poles and the principle
is the same.
[0024] Of course, the blocking head 43 is not limited to the flat plate shape and may also
be in a flat T-shape, referring to Figs. 5-6.
