(54) BATTERY CELL AND BATTERY SYSTEM


(57) The present disclosure refers to a battery cell (10) for an electric vehicle, the battery cell comprising a cell housing (11), an electrochemical cell (30) encased by the cell housing (11), the electrochemical cell (30) comprising a first electrode (15) and a second electrode (16), a first terminal (13) being electrically connected to the first electrode (15) and a second terminal (18) being electrically connected to the second electrode (16), the battery cell (10) further comprising a cell disconnect device (14, 20) adapted to electrically disconnect the battery cell (10) from further battery cells of a battery system in case of an overpressure outside of the cell housing (11).
