PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION
[0001] As the title states, the object of this invention is bed linen, with at least one
opening for leaving limbs such as legs outside of the sheets, blankets, duvet covers,
etc., thus facilitating rest. This is an innovation that brings previously unknown
advantages to current techniques.
TECHNIQUE SECTOR
[0002] This invention belongs to the textile sector, and more specifically to the bed linen
sector.
[0003] This invention relates to a particular bed linen, which has at least one opening
for stretching legs outside of the sheets, blankets, duvet covers, etc.
INVENTION BACKGROUND
[0004] As a reference to the current state of the art, it should be pointed out that, although
various types and designs of sheets, blankets, duvet covers, etc., are known, at least
by the applicant, none are known to exist that have the same or similar structural
and constitutive technical characteristics to those of the one claimed here.
EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
[0005] Body thermoregulation actively contributes to a deep and pleasant rest, reducing
temperature changes and maintaining our body at a constant temperature. Poor thermal
comfort alters and interrupts the natural phases of sleep, causing us to awake during
the night and this is more or less detrimental to physical and emotional well-being.
[0006] The body not only cools itself depending on the environment, but also uses the skin
to lower the body's temperature. In particular, the skin on the hands, head and feet,
where there is a large number of small blood vessels close to the surface. These vessels
allow blood to spread over a large area in close contact to the air and it therefore
cools down.
[0007] Usually when sleeping, the hands, feet and head increase in temperature, so that
the heat dissipates, and the body temperature drops. But feet (or hands) cannot release
heat if they are under a blanket. So having your legs outside of the sheets enhances
the drop in temperature that induces deep sleep.
[0008] The object of this invention is a bed linen comprising at least one opening that
allows users to leave at least one limb such as a leg to a greater or lesser extent
outside of the sheet, thus facilitating body thermoregulation. Furthermore, the bed
linen comprising this opening is covered by an over sheet which is attached to the
bed linen at the area intended to cover the upper part of the users and cover the
bed linen to at least cover the openings in the bed linen through which the users
can extend their limbs so that they are outside the covers.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0009]
Figure 1 is a perspective representation of the bed linen with two openings (2) without
the secondary body (3), in a double bed where one of the users has used one of the
openings (2) to place one leg outside of the covers.
Figure 2 is a schematic representation of the bed linen with two openings (2) where
the body (1) is attached to the secondary body (3).
Figure 3 is a schematic representation of the bed linen with two openings (2) where
the body (1) is separated from the secondary body (3).
PREFERRED REALISATION OF THE INVENTION
[0010] In view of the figures, the following is a preferred, but not limiting, realisation
of the proposed invention, which consists of bed linen. As can be seen from the figures,
the bed linen is intended to dress beds and provide cover for users by being placed
directly on the bed or through a cover element such as a duvet cover, duvet or similar;
comprising at least one body (1) with a large surface area, fitted with at least one
opening (2) transverse to the body (1) configured to allow the user to place at least
one limb such as a leg through the opening.
[0011] The body (1) comprises a secondary body (3) with a large surface area which is positioned
on top of the body (1), the end of which is oriented towards the upper body area of
the user is attached to the secondary body (3) by means of fastening means which are
configured to enable the two bodies to be joined and separated.
1. Bed linen intended to dress beds and provide cover for users by being placed directly
on the bed or using a cover element such as a duvet cover or similar; comprising at
least one body (1) with a large surface area, comprising at least one opening (2)
transverse to the body (1) configured to allow the user to place at least one of their
legs through the opening.
2. Bed linen according to claim 1, characterised in that the body (1) comprises a secondary body (3) with a large surface area that is positioned
on top of the body (1) the end of which is oriented towards the upper body area of
the user is attached to the secondary body (3) by means of fastening means that are
configured to enable the two bodies to be joined and separated.
